This study is designed to investigate social worker's experience in community practice at community welfare centers. Especially this study is conducted to identify the question; how do social workers experience community practice? For the study, data is collected from 11 social workers by depth interview. Using the Grounded theory, the data is analysed by open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. Finally the core category is become known that community practice is the piled up process of developmental experience throw willful efforts and various strategies under poor circumstances. The findings are as follows: (1) the experienced social workers seriously consider residents, community, social workers, and community welfare centers as the core participant in community practice. (2) the experienced community practitioners use various strategies on the whole process. (3) a system needs to be built to train community practitioners based on the cooperation of universities and community centers.

This study was to examine the generative process, contents and normative practice of social workers practice knowledge and grope the suggestion for the reconstruction of social work knowledge. The authors approched with reflective narrative method, Data were collected from six social workers who have engaged in social work. As result, when they have confronted unaccountable phenomenon they generated knowledge through self - reflection and these confirmed, reproduced through normative practice. The researchers proposed the abduction resoning form for the knowledge development method in social work practice field, the reinforcement of human studies in social workers educational process, reconstruction of the network practice.

The goal of this research is to discover various cognitive types on social work practice by using Q methodology which explores subjectivities of human beings. The researchers selected 40 Q items among 293 Q populations from data through in-depth interviews of eight social workers and literature reviews, and the reliability was r=.816. Twenty-nine social workers sorted Q items and the obtained data was analysed by the QUANL program. The perception types were divided into three patterns and the eigen value was .5849. Three perception types on social workers' practices were 'relationship-centered(type 1)', 'change-centered(type 2)' and 'resource-centered(type 3)' practices. These types were different in perceptions on identification of relationship with clients, key characteristics, skills and strengths as a social worker. According to these results, the researchers offered some significant implications and suggested several following studies.

Anti-oppressive practice (AOP) is a form of social work practice that has developed in the UK. In South Korea, Anti-oppressive social work has not been widely studied / explored unlike in other countries in the world. Its main principles, social justice and human rights, have become commonplace. AOP includes transformational practice because its orientation emphasizes social change through celebrating diverse identities and rejecting hierarchies of oppression and prestige. Recently, a growing body of literature on social work with foreign workers has resulted in an increased understanding of its population and its needs. It needs a theoretical and practical framework for foreign workers necessary to inform effective models of service delivery, reflecting cultural competence, and changing oppressive social structure. In this paper, we will introduce the main principles of AOP, analyse written texts reflected by foreign workers and social work practitioners' opinion, and suggest the implications on possibilities and constraints of applicability to foreign workers in South Korea.

This study aims to grasp a slice of development of Korean Social Welfare. For this study, a character critique has been conducted on Kim, Man-doo who had been superbly equiped by social work practice and study as well. The accomplished critique came from literature criticism is based on his social work practice and his literatures. Five and six themes have been elicited each from Kim's social work practice and his literatures. Through the association of those two kinds of themes has been finally reasoned out another five themes; emphasis on integrated approach, encompassment of social welfare from America and Japan, virtuous cycling formation of Social Welfare, paradigm shift of Social Welfare, and regrettable unfinished harmony of practice and study. In regards to the results, some subjects are discussed as follows; Kim's social work practice had been refined crossing the social welfare system, a slice of Korean social welfare in 1960-90s was exposed, children-based social work practice in 1960s had been practiced unitedly, and Korean Social Welfare in 1960-80s had been structured differently according to the scholars'inclination.

본 연구는 사회복지관에서 이루어지는 실습 내용을 분석하여 효과적인 실습지도를 위한 실천적 지침을 제시하고, 궁극적으로 실습 성과 평가를 위한 기초 자료를 제공하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 이틀 위해 서울시에 소재한 사회복지관 30개소의 실습지도계획서를 내용분석 연구방법을 사용하여 분석하였다. 그 결과, 사회복지관에서 진행된 실습 내용을 일반주의 실천에 근거하여 5개 범주, 14개 단위로 세부 내용을 추출하였다. 각 범주는 클라이언트 체계 개입, 조직 환경 이해, 전문적 발달, 서비스 전달체계 이해, 기본적 대인관계 기술의 순으로 전체 실습 내용에서 차지하는 빈도가 높게 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 효과적인 사회복지현장실습을 위한 이론적 실천적 함의를 제시하였다.

This study aimed to examine the social transition, which is often metaphorized as the Fourth Industrial Revolution, within the context of social work practice and to explore measures to improve social work practice in such transition. Four social welfare researchers held seven discussions to predict the social changes in the near future centered on the Fourth Industrial Revolution and find the corresponding development strategies in social work practice; collective autobiography method was used to analyze the discussion. The analysis ascertained hyper connectivity, the advent and expansion of new communities, diversification and individualization, and the emergence of new criteria for the assessment of one's quality of life as the distinctive qualities of the near future. It was analyzed that humans and organic materials will be interconnected through spatial and temporal transcendence and that humans liberated from labor will seek for diverse communities while the number of atomized individual will increase simultaneously. Furthermore, the rise of new order of life accompanied by both the expansion of diversification and individualization and the ecological worldview brought forth by post materialistic trend was predicted. Meanwhile, the disengagement from macroscopic context, a biased inclination towards technique orientated professionalism, and individualistic social work practices without integrity were identified as the limitations of the current social work practice. This study presented three goals for social work practice to help it overcome its current shortcomings and correspond to the social changes: first, the rearrangement of practice knowledge, technique, and value so that it is based on humans and society, which are the essence of social practice work; second, the practice, such as sharing economy, that expands the individuals' boundaries of life to the community; three, the restoration of the desirability of professional social works by examining its special nature.

Recent social studies on space have focused on changing the social relations that activate in space. In general, these studies have been based on the concept of social space on which is grounded the power-relation analysis such as power, oppression, resource allocation, and so on. Social work practice has traditionally recognized the importance of the environment surrounding human beings. Nonetheless, social work practice has tended to comprehend space in a neutral and abstract way because it has insufficiently considered modern spatial theories. For this reason, this study focusing on Lefebvre's social space theory reviewed the contemporary discourses on space in the area of social work practice. Following the review, this study attempted to establish the concept of "Space-based Social Work Practice". Specifically, this study analyzed the actual cases in social work field and explored the applicability of "SSWP". According to the results, this study delivered the implications of Space-based Social Work Practice as an alternative method and suggested the practical direction of SSWP.

This study was carried out to analyze the job of care managers in their social welfare practicing fields about the frequency of care management duties they perform, types of duties considered to be most important and the reason, and types of jobs counted to be the most difficult and the reason by qualitative case study research methods. The job area of care management was elicited using DACUM method, and those 9 job areas derived from it were analysed according to frequency of performance, importance and difficulty. The subjects were 10 social workers serving more than 3 years with major duty of care management and chosen by reputational-case selection, and those collected data analysis was operated according to embedded analysis types. We discussed the implication of this research. : The experience of participants are the process of maintaining the tension, and search the equilibrium point between client centered service and institutional pressure. The purpose of this study is to examine the Korean social workers' level of social work values and advocacy(attitudes and strategies) and to verify the relations among social work education, social work advocacy and social work values by examining whether social work education influences social work advocacy and social work values, and whether social work values affect social work advocacy. Further, this study wishes to confirm not only the direct effect that social work education has on social work advocacy, but also how social work education indirectly influences social work advocacy through social work values as a mediator. The research of this study was conducted on 242 social workers who have obtained social worker licenses and are currently working in the community centers. As survey tools, this study utilized social work advocacy attitudes, social work advocacy strategies, outcomes of social work education, social work values, self-esteem and locus of control. Collected data were analyzed by using SPSS/PC+ 12.0 for descriptive analysis, Pearson's correlation, reliability analysis, exploratory factor analysis and multiple regression. The research hypothesis was established according to the analysis method of the testing mediation of Baron & Kenny (1986) in order to examine whether social work values intervene between social work education and social work advocacy. The results of the hypothesis test confirm that social work values on the social level serve as a mediator variable.
