A long-distance education method using the computational environment has been developed and implemented for quite some time. However, there has been some difficulty in the simulation of face-to-face instruction due to limitations in performance of the computers and the networks. Continued development of multimedia technologies has now made it possible to simulate face-to-face instruction, recording the teachers' instructions in the form of a screen dump. In this paper, we propose a system that allows the teacher to make loaming materials available on the Web using Window Media Technology(WMT). This technology also allows remote site users to view the contents at their convenience. A media encoder acquires the lessons and stores them as moving pictures. The lessons are displayed on the screen as the teacher explains them. The learning materials are stored in a Windows media file format, the file is stored on a lecture server and provided to the user using a streaming method in real time. The users can view the contents on the Web without requiring a special player. The proposed system consists of a lecture writer module, a lecture server module and a lecture client module.

This study was intended to evaluate the properties of concrete incorporating stone powders which are created during crushing natural stones to produce crushed aggregates. For concretes with 0~30 wt.% partial replacement fine aggregates with stone powders, experiments of slump, air content, strength and drying shrinkage were carried out. The experiments found that the increase of the amount of stone powders sharply decreased slump and air content. Partially using stone powders instead of fine aggregates was found to increase both compressive and tensile strength slightly. Substituting higher amount of stone powders presented higher drying shrinkage. When HRWRA was added into the concrete with stone powders in order to obtain workability similar to that of plain concrete without stone powders for the same water-cement ratio and unit weight of cement, air content increased with the amount of HRWRA but strength and drying shrinkage were hardly affected by adding HRWRA.

It is important to decide traffic opening time for construction plan of epoxy asphalt pavement. For this purpose, strength prediction model of epoxy asphalt concrete is required. In this study, Marshall stability was measured according to temperature and time for making strength properties equation. Strength prediction model was developed using chemical kinetics considering temperature variation. The traffic opening time of epoxy asphalt pavement on bridge deck has been predicted using the developed model. The prediction and actual traffic opening times were different by 17-days, because weathers of year 2009-2011 used in prediction model were different from weather of year 2012. When the prediction model used the actually measured temperatures of pavement, the difference between real opening time and prediction opening time was two days. The correlation analysis result between measured strength and prediction strength revealed that the $R^2$ using accurate temperature of pavement was 0.95. An improved precise prediction result is to be obtained if the prediction model uses accurate temperature data of pavement.

The aim of research is to investigate various physical properties of ultra high strength concrete of 80MPa class using a combination of limestone aggregate and electronic arc furnace oxidizing slag aggregate. For aggregate combinations, granite and limestone are used for coarse aggregate, granite and limestone are also used for fine aggregate. And also, limestone fine aggregate is replaced by electronic arc furnace oxidizing slag aggregate of 25% and 50%. Test results indicated that flowability and compressive strength increased when limestone fine aggregate was used compared to that using granite fine aggregate due to higher modulus of elasticity by limestone. Also substitution of electronic arc furnace oxidizing slag aggregate resulted in a decrease of compressive strength slightly. It is found that the use of electronic arc furnace oxidizing slag aggregate and limestone aggregate would be favorable for reducing the autogenous shrinkage by as much as 9~25%.
The study looked at the impact on the health of the spine caused by the increasing addiction to smart phones, and examine the moderating effect of adjusting spinal health according to cognitive strength. All subjects used the smartphone by measuring the diagnostic scale of the smartphone addiction, the angle of forward inclination of the cervical spine, and the amplitude variation of the cognitive Gamma-Peak of the brain waves. As a result, as the use of smart phones increases, the spine angle significantly increased (p<0.001), as cognitive strength increased, the spine angle decreased significantly (p<0.01). The cognitive strength also showed the effect of adjusting the spine angle through interaction with the degree of use of a smartphone (p<0.05). This results in a higher degree of smartphone use in lower and middle cognition strength groups, which results in a higher angle of forward tilt in the cervical spine.
The bonded orthodontic retainer constructed from composite and multistrand orthodontic wire provides an esthetic and efficient system for maintained retention. This study was designed to measure shear bond strength of bonded retainers and to suggest a optimal combination of a multistrand wire and bonding method used when bonded retainer was fabricated. 160 sound maxillary and mandibular premolars were used for 80 test samples. After Uniformizing bonding area, length of wire, and thickness of composite, multistrand wire was bonded to fabricated a bonded retainer by direct or indirect bonding method. Shear bond strength and extension length of each sample were measured by a universal testing machine. The results of this study were as follows : 1. In vitro shear bond testing found 6-stranded, 0.0155 inch wires to have the largest shear bond strength and 3-stranded, 0.0195 inch wires to have the least shear bond strength. But, These difference was not statistically significant(p<0.05). 2. In vitro extension testing found 3-stranded, 0.0155 inch wires to have the largest extension length and 3-stranded, 0.0195 inch wires to have the least extension length(p<0.05). The larger diameter wire was used, the larger extension length was shown. But, the strand of wire is not related to the extension length of wire. 3. In comparison with direct bonding method, larger shear bond strength and extension length was shown in indirect bonding method(p<0.05).

The fly ash has been widely used in the latest to complement the performance and economical efficiency of the concrete which uses only a normal portland cement, the pulp ash gained through the incineration of paper sludge is possible to be used as the material of concrete because it contains the properties similar to the previous fly ash in ingredients and physical characteristics. Therefore, this research has tested physical characteristics by replacing 20% of fly ash used with the paper ash to solve the problem which lowers the early strength caused when the fly ash was used. As a result, it showed that the fluidity becomes lower and the compressive strength becomes increased by using paper ash. In addition, after mixing the paper ash with the fly ash, it showed that time and heating amount of the 2nd peak of the minor heat of hydration affecting the revelation of strength was equivalent to the combination for normal portland cement, and also indicated that the compressive strength for 3 days is superior to the combination of the fly ash. Therefore, if the paper ash having a regular fineness is used, it was effective in improving the early strength of concrete used the fly ash.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate and compare the shear bond strength of orthodontic brackets depending on the variety of adhesives and whether saliva exists, by using self-etching primer (SEP). Groups were divided according to the type of adhesive into resin adhesive (Trans bond XT) and resin-modified glass ionomer cement (Fuji Ortho LC). One group of resin adhesive used XT primer after etching with 37% phosphoric acid, and the other group used self-etching primer. One group of resin-modified glass ionomer cement only used etching for bonding, and the other group used SEP. Each of the groups were also classified by whether saliva was contaminated or not. and then the shear bond strength was measured. The results showed that when using resin adhesive, the shear bond strength of SEP was lower than the XT primer. In the resin-modified glass ionomer cement groups, the shear bond strength which depends on the priming method, did not have a meaningful difference statistically When saliva was contaminated, the group which used SEP, regardless of the adhesive variety, had a greater shear bond strength than the normal priming group. From these results, SEP showed a shear bond strength that is possible to be used clinically, regardless of the adhesive variety. It can especially be clinically useful to use SEP to bond brackets even on tooth surfaces contaminated with saliva, because it offers the appropriate bonding strength as well as shorter treatment time and easy application.

In the construction of nuclear power plants using massive walls, the use of high-strength re-bars for shear design is necessary to enhance the constructability and economy. In this study, low-rise walls (aspect ratio of 1.0) with grade 550 MPa bars were tested under cyclic loading to investigate the shear capacity and deformation capacity. The test parameters were the grade of horizontal re-bars (550 MPa, 420 MPa), strength of concrete compressive strength (46 MPa, 70 MPa), horizontal/vertical reinforcement ratio, use of lateral confinement hoops, shape of cross section, and failure modes (shear failure before or after flexural yielding). The test results were compared with those of walls with grade 420 MPa bars and predicted strength by current design codes. The results showed that the shear strength of the walls with 550 MPa bars was comparable to that of the walls with 420 MPa bars though the safe margin slightly decreased. ACI 349 provides underestimated shear strength for the walls with 550 MPa bars. In case of the wall with flexural yielding, a large deformation capacity was achieved. This result indicates that the ACI 349 provisions can be safely applied to seismic design of the low-rise walls (aspect ratio of 1.0) with grade 550 MPa bars.

The aim of this research is suggesting application method of the wasted rock obtained from the limestone quarry of raw material for cement as a coarse aggregate for high strength concrete after crushing and sieving processes. The wasted rock has been normally wasted because of its low quality as a material for cement production. In this research, the concrete using this wasted limestone coarse aggregate was evaluated the constructability based on the performances of workability, air content, and compressive strength. From the experiment, a favorable performance was achieved with a limestone coarse aggregate for high strength concrete comparing to the high strength concrete using granite coarse aggregate.
