Android Platform based Gesture Recognition using Smart Phone Sensor Data (안드로이드 플랫폼기반 스마트폰 센서 정보를 활용한 모션 제스처 인식)

  • The increase of the number of smartphone applications has enforced the importance of new user interface emergence and has raised the interest of research in the convergence of multiple sensors. In this paper, we propose a method for the convergence of acceleration, magnetic and gyro sensors to recognize the gesture from motion of user smartphone. The proposed method first obtain the 3D orientation of smartphone and recognize the gesture of hand motion by using HMM(Hidden Markov Model). The proposed method for the representation for 3D orientation of smartphone in spherical coordinate was used for quantization of smartphone orientation to be more sensitive in rotation axis. The experimental result shows that the success rate of our method is 93%.

  • Geospatial interoperability has been pursued by propagating international standards and OGC standards. The NGIC, GeoConnection and other catalogue services are reviewed with aspect to metadata and search functions. Detailed metadata could be driven to users after finding what they want to have. Criteria for search were not fully overlapped with metadata, as simple and typical searches are prevailing. OGC catalogue service standards were made but catalogue services in Korea have been implemented in their own ways, not fully compliance-tested. Different domain technologies have been developed regardless of geospatial service, the relationship and integration methods between catalogue services and other core technologies are reviewed in the form of a pair table. Other issues in geospatial service were discussed in the level of raising issues.

  • SNS media is gaining its media share with the benefits of digital technology, such as the convenience of physical access and the entertainment and interactivity of contents, and are becoming a part of users' lives. As media contents consumers move from traditional media to SNS, marketing communication activities are rapidly adapting to leading SNS platforms such as Facebook. This study compares how users perceive four advertisement attributes in each SNS, focusing on Facebook, Instagram, Kakao Story, and Twitter, where the media content creation and consumption systems are relatively similar to each other. The impact on eWOM intention was identified. In addition, we discussed effective SNS operation.

  • Most of web-based education systems are only to supply education information. As the web becomes the common basis to support the effective education, it is used for not only applying education information but also developing to the dimension to provide various services. The education service models prospering to the newly diverse environment are necessary. In this paper, a education resource service system based on functional broker is implemented to overcome the weakness of the traditional Web-based instruction. This paper shows that the web-based education service system such as functional broker can manage the varied education resources efficiently and so contribute to realize the life-long education.

The Impacts of Characteristics of Airbnb Host on User Satisfactions (숙박공유 플랫폼 서비스의 서비스 공급자 특성이 사용자의 만족감에 미치는 영향 : 에어비앤비(Airbnb) 호스트 주체를 중심으로)

  • Purpose Along with increasing use of mobile devices, the sharing economy platform services, which generate profits by sharing products owned or labor, have been activated. A representative example of the sharing economy platform service is Airbnb, which connects providers having idle residential space with users. The results revealed that the cases of superhosts and professional companies had a positive and negative effect on user satisfaction, respectively. Based on signaling theory, this study drew the following implications: residential space providers should make an effort to meet the superhost conditions suggested by Airbnb, and offering residential spaces by individual suppliers rather than professional accommodation companies can more heighten user satisfaction. Design/methodology/approach Because sharing behavior is promoted through trust between interested parties, this study aimed to verify the effects of provider characteristics on user satisfaction in a sharing economy platform service. Specifically, it analyzed user satisfaction, according to host attributes (i.e., "superhost or not," gender, and "professional company or not") among the characteristics of Airbnb suppliers. Findings The results revealed that the cases of superhosts and professional companies had a positive and negative effect on user satisfaction, respectively. Based on these analyses results, this study drew the following implications: residential space providers should make an effort to meet the superhost conditions suggested by Airbnb, and offering residential spaces by individual suppliers rather than professional accommodation companies can more heighten user satisfaction.

  • A study on how a launcher as smart phone application was utilized as brand communication by deriving a characteristic element that could be changed into an extended function which carried out brand communication function going beyond the basic function of launcher pre-installed for the purpose of UI differentiation according to each device brand. In the results of analyzing the items and features of brand communication shown in each detailed item after classifying properties of launcher components into that of home component and personalization function element, (1) brand image identity element and (2) service marketing commitment element was derived.

  • Recently, web 2.0 is becoming issue can provide a web based services and the technology is developing rapidly. In addition a variety of platforms on the web and SDK(Software Development Kit) is available from various aspects, web services, a trend that is rapidly growing user. But the development of security systems cannot follow the speed and These weaknesses are provided in the Web service by using illegal methods of information acquisition. Therefore, in this paper, we analyzed information for checking a variety of illegal access on Web services. Also, we designed and implemented Web Service-Hacking Pattern Recognition System for which warns the dangerous fact that as recognized hacking through comparisons the hacking patterns which have classified from the hacking method of existing system.

  • 최근 무선통신기술과 소형 하드웨어의 발전으로 모든 환경에서 네트워크 및 컴퓨팅이 가능한 IoT(Internet of Things) 기기들이 지속적으로 증가하는 추세이며, 이러한 IoT 트랜드는 지속될 전망이다. 기존 IoT 플랫폼은 일반적으로 전력 사용적인 측면에서 In-memory 컴퓨팅을 지향하지만 이러한 방식은 시스템 에러 발생 시 메모리의 휘발성으로 인해 신뢰성이 저하되는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 전체 시스템의 신뢰성 향상을 위해 XML 형식의 파일과 관계형 데이터베이스를 이용한 IoT 기반 상황 인식 시스템 서버를 설계한다. 설계된 상황 인식 시스템 서버는 추론 엔진을 포함하고 있으며, 사용자가 등록한 룰과 수집된 상황 데이터를 이용하여 전체 시스템을 동작시킨다. 또한, 전체 시스템의 신뢰성을 검증하기 위해 3가지 동작 시나리오를 제안한다.

  • WPP protocol based a Credit card payment in mobile Internet uses WTLS which is security protocol of WAP. WTLS can't provide End­to­End security in network. In this paper, we propose a protocol both independent in mobile Internet platform and allow a security between user and VASP using Mobile Gateway in AIP. In particular, our proposed protocol is suitable in mobile Internet, since session key for authentication and initial payment process is generated using Weil Diffie­Hellman key exchange method that use additive group algorithm on elliptic curve.

  • The ubiquitous environment of the future has to exploit this multitude of connectivity alternatives resulting from diverse wireless communication systems and different access technologies to provide useful services with guaranteed quality to users. New applications require a ubiquitous environment capable of accessing information from different potable devices at any time and everywhere. This has motivated researchers to integrate various wireless platforms such as cellular networks., WLANs, and MANETs. Integration of different technologies with different capabilities and functionalities is an extremely complex task and involves issues at all layer of the protocol stack. This article compares and discusses a connection alternatives and integrated architecture in network layer for a SDR-based heterogeneous wireless network.
