Discharge Assessment Tool in Stroke and Elderly Patients: A Systematic Review (뇌졸중 및 노인 환자의 퇴원 평가도구에 대한 체계적 고찰)

  • Objective : The aim of this systematic review is to analyze the assessment items and tools used for the discharge of stroke and elderly patients and to help select appropriate assessment tools for discharge planning. Methods : The studies included in this review were collected from the PubMed, Medline Complete (EBSCOhost), and Scopus databases from January 2009 to December 2018. A total 22 studies were selected. The research types, the areas and sub-areas of assessment, as well as the assessment tools according to the areas were analyzed. Results : Descriptive research (59.2%) was the most frequent type of research. The 12 main areas of assessment were medical condition, activities of daily living, swallowing function, sensation, mobility, cognition and perception, communication, emotion, home environment, patient knowledge and readiness for discharge, social support, and well-being. Among the assessment tools, the most frequently used tools were Bathel Index; Functional Independence Measure, to assess activities of daily living; Short-Form Health Survey, to assess well-being, and Timed Up and Go test, to assess mobility. Conclusion : This study will help select the assessment areas and tools to be considered at discharge of stroke patients and serve a basis for the development of comprehensive assessment tools for discharge planning.

  • 국가 간 문화의 차이에 의하여 생활습관이나 방식이 많이 다르게 나타난다. 그 중에서도 음식은 다른 분야보다 많은 차이를 나타난다. 특히 음식의 종류에 따라 사용되는 음식도구 중 디자인요소가 동일하고 유사한 것이 있거나 다른 요소와 기능을 갖는 경우도 있다. 따라서 각 국가 간의 음식도구를 유니버설 하게 사용할 수 있는 도구 디자인 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구의 목적은 음식에 대한 행동분석프로세스를 개발하여 국가 간 음식문화의 차이에서 오는 공통점과 차이점을 찾아내어 공용으로 사용할 수 있는 음식도구의 디자인요소를 창의성의 관점에서 제안하기 위한 연구이다. 본 연구의 연구방법과 내용으로는 첫째, 음식에 대한 소비자행동 분석 프로세스의 개발 및 관찰을 통하여 행동분석에 대한 이론적 고찰과 현장에서 일어나고 있는 행동분석을 접목하여 음식행동분석프로세스를 개발하였다. 둘째로, 개발된 프로세스를 이용하여 국가 간 음식의 주문부터 평가까지의 과정을 비교 분석하고 나타난 현상에 대한 문제점 파악 및 이에 대한 결과물을 각 국가별 학생들을 대상으로 음식도구에 대한 디자인 개발을 진행하였다. 셋째, 국가별 개발된 디자인 안을 대상으로 선호도, 요인분석, 상관분석을 통하여 국가별 선호요소와 창의성평가요소의 상관관계를 알아보았다. 본 연구를 통하여 얻어지는 효과는 개발된 프로세스를 이용하여 국가별, 음식별, 행동별, 식당형태별로 비교분석이 가능하도록 하게 하고 얻어진 결과를 이용하여 구체적으로 음식도구 디자인에 이용할 수 있으며 국가간 동일 아이템을 디자인 교육시간에 진행시켜 대학의 디자인교육의 비교를 통하여 상호간에 협력과 상호보완으로 새로운 아이디어를 공유, 아이디어 전개에 도움이 될 수 있다.

  • Online game industry is also making much efforts in developing games that have emotional disposition which is rapidly growing by the increase of emotional demand by the user. In the online game development that induces immersion stimulating the emotion of the human has the evaluation stage it must surely pass, and in this stage, emotional evaluation system is known as the evaluation method that one can verify the function, usage and human emotion desire of the game before its launching. Nevertheless, at this situation the studying result is absent in the verification of efficiency and validity of the emotional evaluation system, this study is to work on the availability and validity of the emotional evaluation system as the evaluation tool of the game comparing with the Jakob Nielsen's evaluation system through common user group which are the subjects.

A Study on the Video Analysis Tool to Support Collaboration for Effective Usability Evaluation (효율적인 사용성 평가를 위해 협력작업을 지원하는 비디오 분석 도구에 관한 연구)

  • Video protocol analysis is a popular and effective technique in many research disciplines including industrial design and HCI for understanding the interactions between people, and between people and machines. Analysing and transcribing video recordings is, however, notoriously time consuming, and a variety of single-user computer based tools have been developed to ease the task. This paper examines collaborative video analysis. The motivation for groupware tools for video analysis is described, and the desirable features of such tools are identified. The following section reviews related work on video analysis and on single-user video analysis tools. The review is used to derive a set of design goals for collaborative video analysis tools. We then detail prototype's user interface, its collaborative facilities, and its implementation. The preliminary evaluation is described prior the conclusions which identify directions for further work.

A Study on the Development of Mobile APP Usability Evaluation Tool for Time Management (시간관리 모바일 앱 사용성 평가도구 개발에 관한 연구)

  • Although several industrial revolutions and technological developments have provided time for modern people, more than 75% of modern people are currently suffering from the problem of "lack of time". Therefore, in this paper, it was judged that it was necessary to improve the mobile APP service for efficient time management of modern people, and a study was conducted on the development of usability evaluation tools. First, the current status was analyzed through case studies of six time management apps with different purposes, and then usability studies were conducted to establish a total of five evaluation principles with operability, cognition, user suitability, minimization of work errors, and sharing. Based on this, a draft of the time management mobile app usability evaluation item was prepared, and a total of 44 usability evaluation tool items were derived through three Delphi surveys of design experts over 5 years and less than 10 years. As a result, intuitive screen and menu composition and user's perception of content were evaluated as the most important factors, and conclusions such as the need to improve the structure and function of the main content screen for user error prevention and usability were drawn. This study will not only contribute to improving the usability of existing time management mobile apps, but will also be used as a material for designing an integrated time management platform for efficient time management and purpose promotion in the future, and is expected to be used as an academic reference.

Validation Study of Clinical Utility and Usability on Korean Version of the Life-Space Assessment to Assess Community Mobility (지역사회 이동성을 측정하는 한국어판 생활공간 평가(Korean Version of the Life-Space Assessment; K-LSA)의 임상적 유용성 및 사용성 검증 연구)

  • Objective : The purpose of study is to validate the clinical utility and usability of the Korean version of the Life Space Assessment(K-LSA) which is an assessment tool of community mobility of older adults. Methods : Surveys on the clinical utility and usability of the K-LSA are carried out with a total of aoaa60 occupational and physical therapists. The surveys included the multiple choice questions on the clinical utility and open questions on the usability. Responses to multiple questions are post processed by frequency analysis and technical statistics, and responses to the open questions are categorized by common factors in each questions. Results : Average value of clinical utility ranges from 3.6 to 4.0 with positive responses of 'fair (3 point)', 'agree (4 point)' and 'strongly agree (5 point)' being 95~100%. Average value for clinical usability ranges from 3.6 to 4 with positive answers of 'fair (3 point)', 'easy (4 point)' and 'very easy (5 point)' being 88.3~100%. Additionally out of open-type questions of clinical usability, it was pointed out that the concept of 'neighborhood' for the life space level 3 and 4 is unclear. Conclusion : The current study and research outcomes showed that the K-LSA is a validated tool in Korean health care system for the clinical utility and usability in measuring community mobility, and that it is straightforward in practical use. It will help clinicians and therapists promote the social participation of older adults, and set an intervention goal for enhancing community mobility. It will further help clinicians and researchers in education and research for medical intervention and goal-setting.

  • 본 논문에서는 사이버 채팅 시스템의 사용상 문제해결 방안을 위하여 사용성 평가를 통해 도출된 문제점을 비교 분석하여 사용성 향상을 위한 사용자 인터페이스 디자인의 가이드라인을 제안한다. 먼저 현존하는 문헌을 중심으로 웹 커뮤니케이션 도구로서의 사이버 채팅 시스템에 대하여 고찰하고 현재 사용되고 있는 채팅 현황을 조사하여 소개한다. 두 번째로는, 사용상의 문제점을 만족도 평가, 발전평가, 수행도 평가, 관찰평가를 실시하여 알아내고 사용성 평가결과 분석에 따른 사용상의 잠정적 문제 해결 방안을 제시하였다. 또한 사용성 평가에 따른 주요 발견 점으로는 채팅 기능의 구조화, 화면 구성요소의 크기 및 배치에 따른 화면의 가시성, 대화환경에 따른 이미지나 기능의 적절한 메타포 사용의 개선 및 개발이 필요한 것으로 대두되었다.

Development and validation of heuristics for usability improvements on web-based diagnostic assessment management system for primary-middle schoolers (초·중학생 대상 웹기반 진단평가관리시스템 사용성 개선을 위한 휴리스틱스 개발 및 검증)

  • Preparing the 4th industrial revolution age, a diagnostic assessment management system which can collect nationwide data has been implemented and utilized for the development of the evidence-based educational policy. This study aims to develop heuristics to help to improve usability of such systems, which are utilized by primary and middle school community including teachers and students in the nationwide. To achieve the objective, previous studies related to the development of heuristics in the educational contexts as well as basic heuristics from Nielsen were reviewed, and usability problems of the web-based diagnostic-supplement system being currently utilized, as a sample system, were analyzed. Then, the first version of heuristics was developed. The developed heuristics were validated and revised through 2 rounds of the delphi methods with 15 experts. This study has an implication with preparing foundations on improving usability of such diagnostic assessment management system utilized by school community at the nationwide in educational contexts.

Static Analysis of Web Accessibility Based on Abstract Parsing (요약파싱기법을 사용한 웹 접근성의 정적 분석)

  • Web-accessibility evaluation tools can be used to determine whether or not a website meets accessibility guidelines. As such, many such tools have been developed for web accessibility, but most of them dynamically fetch and analyze pages and as a result, some pages maybe omitted due to the lack of access authorization or environment information. In this paper, we propose a static method that analyzes web accessibility via abstract parsing. Our abstract parsing technique understands syntactic and semantic program structures that dynamically generate web pages according to external inputs and parameters. The static method performs its analysis without omitting any pages because it covers all execution paths. We performed an experiment with a PHP-based website to demonstrate how our tool discovers more accessibility errors than a dynamic page accessibility analysis tool.

  • The purpose of this study is to determine the effects of error sources in emotional intelligence assessment of young children. The emotional intelligence of 198 five years old children was assessed using the Emotional Intelligence Scale developed by Lee[14]. Evaluation results were analyzed using G study for generalizability theory. G study results show that parents can be effective evaluators for emotional intelligence in young children. Strategies to reduce error effects are discussed.
