Development of a safety accident prevention system for construction equipment utilizing IoT and RTLS technology (사물인터넷과 실시간 위치추적 기술을 활용한 건설 장비의 안전 사고 방지 시스템 개발)

  • Identifying potential accidents at construction sites is a major concern for the construction industry, and, according to the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, the death rate of safety accidents caused by construction equipment is particularly high at 19.8% as of 2016. Although Internet of Things (IoT) has not been applied widely in construction sites, it can build an operating system that feeds accurate and useful information to construction accident management for identifying potential accidents. In this context, this study proposes an IoT- and RTLS-based construction equipment safety accident prevention system, which can be useful for preventing and managing safety accidents caused by construction equipment. Future deployment of such system would contribute not only to the safety of workers but also to efficient equipment and manpower operation.

  • There is a need for an artificial intelligent technology that can reduce various types of safety accidents by analyzing the risk factors that cause safety accidents in industrial site. In this paper, user safety profiling methods are proposed that can prevent safety accidents in advance by specifying and modeling user information data related to safety accidents. User information data is classified into normal and abnormal conditions through deep learning based artificial intelligence analysis. As a result of verifying user safety profiling technology using more than 10 types of industrial field data, 93.6% of user safety profiling accuracy was obtained.

  • 환경문제에 관한 관심이 급속히 증가하고 있는 가운데, 1995년 여름 유조선 씨 프린스호의 여천 앞바다 좌초로 다량의 기름이 유출되었다. 이 사고 이후 두달이 채 지나기도 전에 유조선 제1유일호가 부산 앞바다에서 침몰하는 사고가 발생했다. 통계1)에 의하면, 1991년 1월부터 1995년 9월말까지 우리나라 연안에서 총 1,583 건의 오염사고가 발생하였고, 유출량은 22,541톤, 피해금액 3,231억원으로 집계되었다. 해양오염사고중 기름에 의한 오염사호는 총발생건수의 92%로 대부분을 차지하고 있다. 배출원인은 선박사고가 전체 발생건수의 87%, 육상 및 해양시설에 의한 사고가 10.5%, 배출원인 불명이 2.5%였다. 오염물질 중 기름의 종류별 유출랑은 경유 6,509톤, 벙커유 3,928톤, 선저폐수 759톤으로, 경유가 가장 많고 다음으로 벙커유가 많았다. 해상 기름유출사호는 기름운반선 등에 의해 하루에 한번 꼴로 크고 작은 기름유출사고를 일으키고 있으며, 발생건수가 매년 증가하고 있다. 우리나라 연안에서의 유류 해상 수송량 증가와 선박의 대형화로 대형기름유출사고의 발생 가능성이 잠재하고 있다.   • 최근 건설현장에서는 안전사고 예방을 위한 다양한 노력을 하고 있지만 전 산업에서 건설업 재해율은약 50%로 여전히 높은 비율을 차지하고 있다. 중대재해처벌법 시행(22년 1월 27일)과 4차산업 발달에 따른 IOT기반 안전관리 등 안전규제와 안전관리기술이 현장에 적용되고 있지만 건설현장 안전관리의 접점에 있는 실무자 및 근로자가 실효성 있게 안전관리활동을 하고 실질적으로 안전행동을 강화시키는 안전사고 예방적 안전관리가 부족한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 건설현장에서 시행되고 있는 안전보건활동, 안전교육, 안전행동강화, 안전성과와의 구조방정식모형(SEM)을 제시하고 관계 분석하였다. 건설현장 실무자 및 근로자의 설문조사 데이터를 구조방정식에 적용하여 관계를 분석한 예측결과, 분석결과에 의해 검증된 가설이 시사하는 부분을 해석하고, 가설검증을 기반으로 외생변수로부터 안전행동강화에 도달하는 경로를 탐색하고 주요 논점을 논의한다.

일체형 원자로의 안전용기 냉각이 설계에 미치는 영향

  • 일체형원자로는 노심, 증기발생기, 가압기, 펌프 등 1차측 주기기들을 하나의 압력용기안에 모두 포함하고 있고, 또 1차측 냉각재가 원자로 안에서만 순환하므로 기존의 분리형원자로에 비해 구조특성상 대용량 원자로 냉각재 상실사고(LBLOCA)의 발생 가능성을 원천적으로 제거할 수 있다. 반면 원자로 냉각재의 보충 등을 위한 소형 배관의 파단 가능성은 역시 존재하므로 소용량 원자로 냉각재 상실 사고(SBLOCA)는 여전히 존재한다. 따라서 현재 한국원자력연구소에서 연구 개발중인 중소규모 전력생산 및 열 활용 목적의 일체형 원자로에는, 원자로 압력용기 외부에 별도의 압력용기(안전용기)를 설치하여 SBLOCA시 원자로 압력용기로부터 방출되는 냉각수를 안전 용기내에 보관하도록 함으로써 사고시 외부로의 방사성 물질 유출 가능성을 획기적으로 줄 일수 있는 설계 개념을 도입하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 안전용기의 설계시 효율적인 냉각방식에 대한 열유체 해석적 접근을 시도하였고, 예비개념설계된 일체형 열병합원자로의 설계상의 특징들 및 안전용기 설계시 앞으로의 연구방향 등도 간략히 소개하였다.

A Study on Verification of the effectiveness of Mutually Recognizable Traffic Safety Facilities (상호인식 교통안전시설물 현장적용에 따른 효과검증 연구)

  • Korea had the highest accident rate among OECD countries in 2018, with 8.4 per 100,000 population, ranking 4th among 35 countries. In addition, the accident rate of traffic with children and the elderly was also high. This study reviewed the relevant literature and analyzed the traffic-accident analysis system. Customized traffic safety facilities were developed. In addition, by measuring the visibility of the traffic safety facilities by installing a test bed, this study measured the forward driving frequency and vehicle driving speed while driving. As a result of applying the "pedestrian pedestrian model" collision test model, the possibility of serious injury after installing the facility was reduced greatly to 4.6%. In this study, the visibility of traffic safety facilities and the effect of reducing the traffic speed were verified through test beds. Recognizing traffic safety facilities will reduce traffic accidents.

  • Recently, the aging of agricultural society has caused a rapid increase in safety accidents in -agricultural machinery. Sometimes, the wounded may be left unattended resulting serious situation. In order to solve these problems, ICT technology is used to detect and inform the accident quickly when a safety accident such as overturning, collision or other accidents occurs during the operation or moving the agricultural machinery, such as cultivator, rearing machine, and tractor. A system capable of minimizing the amount of data is required. In this paper, an ICT - based automatic accident detection & propagation system is proposed for the agricultural machinery accident such as colliding crashes or overturning of agricultural machinery. The proposed system enables quick rescue by sending a text message automatically to family, acquaintances, hospitals and 119 in the event of an agricultural accident.

A Study on Setting Up National Railway Safety Target (국가철도안전목표 설정방안 연구)

  • According to the national railway safety plan 1 billion US$ have been invested in railway industry every year. As a result, railway accident rate has been reduce to half recent 6 years. Currently, Korea has 3 kinds of national railway safety target, which are accident fatalities, train accident rate, and passenger fatality per passenger kilometer. Increase of railway passengers and train operating companies force to set up new safety target. Current safety target cannot reflect train operator's safety activities because they include suicide and trespass related accidents, which are hard to be controlled by the operators. In order to reflect to the national railway safety plan, new safety targets are proposed in this study.

Relationship among safety accident, impulsiveness and maternal child-rearing attitude of elementary students (초등학생의 안전사고, 충동성 및 어머니의 양육태도와의 상관관계)

  • This aim of the study intended to investigate the relationship among safety accident, impulsiveness and maternal child-rearing attitude of elementary students. The study was also done to acquire basic information on safety education program to help students be more aware of safety. A research was conducted from November 15 to 24, 2010 by means of self-report questionnaires distributed to 558 elementary students. Safety accident occurrence of subject is 51.3%, and the most frequent place was on school and home around. The safety accident occurrence was statistically significant difference according to students' gender, grade and the level of school life attitude. The safety accident occurrence correlated positively with authoritarian control, overprotection, and achievement, as defined maternal child-rearing attitude, and not with impulsiveness. The results of this study indicate that safety education program are needed to prevent the safety accidents, and to change the maternal child-rearing attitude of elementary students.

Influence of Elementary school Students' Safety Consciousness upon Risk Recognition of Accidental Type (초등학생들의 안전의식이 사고유형 위험인식에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was attempted in order to examine relationship of elementary school students' safety consciousness upon risk recognition of accidental type. We carried out targeting 378 elementary school students who attended 4 schools in J city and K city of J province from June 25 July 15, 2009. The statistical processing was done by SPSS WIN 12.0 Version. The statistical significance was set to p<.05. As for correlation between variables in safety characteristics and safety consciousness, and risk recognition of accidental type, the safety consciousness showed positive correlation with risk recognition of traumatic accident(r=.179, p<.01) and risk recognition of environmental accident(r=.104, p<.05).The whole data of risk recognition of accidental type, the safety education within 1 year($\beta=.139$, t=2.654, p<.01) and traffic safety consciousness($\beta=.172$, t=2.714, p<.01) were indicated to had significant influence upon the risk recognition of accidental type.
