Study on Analyzing and Correction of Dynamic Battery Alignment Error in Naval Gun Fire Control System by using Image of Boresight Telescope (포배열카메라 영상을 활용한 함포 사격통제시스템의 동적배열오차 분석 및 보정방법)

  • In naval gun firing, firing accuracy comes from the combination of each component's accuracy in CFCS (Command and Fire Control System) like tracking sensors and gun. Generally, battery alignment is done to correct the error between gun and tracking sensor by using boresight telescope on harbor and sea. But normally, the battery alignment can compensate only the static alignment error and ignore dynamic alignment error which is caused by own ship movement. There was no research on this dynamic alignment error until now. We propose a new way to analyze dynamic arrangement error by using image of boresight telescope. In case of the dynamic alignment error was due to time delay of own ship attitude information, we propose the way to compensate it.

  • 본 논문에서는 키넥트 센서와 아이트랙킹 센서를 이용하여 동작 제스처와 시선 추적하는 방법을 나타내고 이것을 사격 게임에 적용한다. 제스처는 키넥트 센서로 인식이 되고 모델로는 팔목, 손을 이용한다. 시선 추적은 아이트랙킹을 이용하였고 더불어 눈의 위치 값을 이용해 사람이 고개를 돌렸는지까지 알 수 있다. 이 시스템을 통해 키넥트와 아이트랙킹의 연동을 통한 컨텐츠가 얼마나 가능성이 있는지 제시하고 평가하였고, 앞으로도 새로운 활용방안이 나올 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • Gun system operation is represented as a first-order Markov process, and an optimum linear filter is derived for closed-loop control of mean square error. Potential improvement is then estimated by contrasting the variance in performance and the auto correlation for open-loop system with that for the optimum linearly corrected process.

  • The real data obtained from field exercises has a crucial role in modeling and simulation of a combat or a wargame. This becomes an important input especially in analyzing weapon systems realization. Many existing models have been using the mean value of the time between each fire. The firing data can be incorporated into a known probability distribution or used directly as an empirical distribution. Data of field exercises are very useful instead of the real combat outcomes. This study finds a new modeling approach and techniques to compare the data with the previously generated outcomes. This fundamental research work will continue to consider more of the various weapon systems, the sizes, and other tactical aspects.

  • In general, an ordinary CCTV camera has equipped with 24 frames per second. This camera is not capable of capturing an image of bullet trace which has speed about 1km per second. In spite of these difficulties, by means of the stereographical projection, a long distance trace is able to be contained in one image. Currently, to capture a series of image of an object with high speed, it is usual to use one of the complicated camera with high shutter speed or computerized devices with capability of controlling shutter timing with slightly different capture time. This paper proposed a monitoring tracer bullet single camera system equipped convex mirror trying to see whether or not a normal set of camera and convex mirror is capable of shooting on target located in as far as 250m.

  • A mobile surveillance robot is defined as a surveillance robot system that is mounted on a mobile platform and is used to protect public areas such as airports or harbors from invaders. The mobile surveillance robot that is mounted on a mobile platform consists of a gun module, a camera system module, an embedded control system, and AHRS (Attitude and Heading Reference System). It has two axis control systems for controlling its elevation and azimuth. In order to obtain stable images for targeting invaders, this system requires a stabilizer to compensate any disturbance due to vehicle motion. In this study, a virtual model of a mobile surveillance robot has been created and ADAMS/Matlab simulations have been performed to verify the suitability of the proposed stabilization algorithm. Further, the suitability of the stabilization algorithm has also been verified using a mock-up of the mobile surveillance robot and a 6-DOF (Degree Of Freedom) motion simulator.

  • In this paper, the problem of regulation in the presence of a known firing disturbance is considered. We show how one can apply a disturbance-utilizing control(DUC) theory to a actual gun servo model. Applied disturbance-utilizing control theory is established by combining LQ regulator and reduced order observer in the discrete time domain. To see the performance of the applied method, computer simulation results are given.

  • Anti-aircraft gun system is used for low-level air defense system and has more than twin guns with high firing rate in order to maximize the capability of defense. Gun's vibration and bullet's variance has a critical effect on accuracy and hit probability of weapon system such as anti-aircraft gun system with high firing rate. Typical mechanism to reduce the amount of vibration and shock during gun-fire process is very important design factor. In this paper, the suspension characteristics of the vehicle are studied for the improvement of isolating performance of gun firing system with high firing rate. Gun fire test for the vehicle is conducted and computational models using Recurdyn and Adams are created based on test results. Through this study, results of computational analysis are compared with the real test results, which includes type, location and quantity of suspension and gun mechanism are selected for anti-aircraft gun. From the result of this study, we could make basic design and consider the proper component of the system such as suspension and gun spring.

A Study on the Multi-Laser Image Tracking Method using the Latest Approach Angle (최근접 각도를 이용한 복수 레이저 영상 추적 방법 연구)

  • The paper proposed the method of calculating the latest approach angle that can reliably recognize multiple laser images even with the change in separation distance between screen and laser launch device. This method recognizes the angle of the laser pattern angle by using the distance of the laser pattern angle, and the angle extraction of the laser detects the laser image from the acquired image using the labeling algorithm, and performs the huff conversion to extract the angle of the straight line. The distance of the reference angle and angle of the laser image extracted using Euclidean distance among similarity scales is calculated, and the furnace is recognized using the calculated distance result value. Experiments with changing the separation distance to "200 cm to 400 cm" showed 100% recognition of individual strands at all separation distances. The experiment confirmed the reliability of the proposed method.
