A Short Discussion about Connection of Informal and Formal Mathematical Knowledge (비형식적 수학적 지식과 형식적 수학적 지식의 결합에 관한 소고)

  • The purpose of this paper is to try formulating a working definition of connection of informal and formal mathematical knowledge. Many researchers have suggested that informal mathematical knowledge should be connected with school mathematics in the process of learning and teaching it. It is because informal mathematical knowledge might play a important role as a cognitive anchor for understanding school mathematics. To implement the connection of them we need to know what the connection means. In this paper, the connection between informal and formal mathematical knowledge refers to the making of relationship between common attributions involved with the two knowledge. To make it clear, it is discussed that informal knowledge consists of two properties of procedures and conceptions as well as formal mathematical knowledge does. Then, it is possible to make a connection of them. Now it is time to make contribution of our efforts to develop appropriate models to connect informal and formal mathematical knowledge.

  • 본 논문에서는 한국전자통신연구원 VR 연구센터에서 개발한 비선형 MPEG-2 편질 시스템인 "솔거(Solger2001)" 에 사용되는 스트림 형식 변환기를 소개한다. 기존 솔거의 단점으로 여겨져 왔던 다양한 입력 스트림을 지원하지 않는 문제점을 해결하고자 기존의 많은 비선형 편집기에서 입력 포맷으로 사용되고 있는 AVI를 지원하도록 하여 솔거의 활용 범위를 넓혔다.

How Do University Students Appreciate the Influence of Science on Life? (과학이 삶에 미친 영향에 대한 대학생들의 인식)

  • This study was conducted to identify students' meaningful scientific experiences and to ascertain the path through which the experience led to learning. The subjects of 'Understanding of the History of Science' were asked to write an essay on the subject of 'Effects of science on my life' to 81 students in the department of literature and 125 students in the science department. After that Classification criteria were established through scientific experts' seminars, and the scientific experiences that affected students and their effects were examined. The results from analyses were summarized as follows: First, As a result of study about Science Education experience that has impacted students' lives, the students were influenced by images, most of which were influenced by scientific videos. They were also influenced by science classes and science books. As a result of classifying science experience, most of the experience is composed of Informal Science Learning. Second, as a result of examining how students were influenced by their scientific experience, they found that they were affected by their daily life or influenced by science. As a result of the research, it can be confirmed that Informal Science Learning experience is an important learning form that has a great influence on students. Therefore, appropriate Informal Science Learning experience should be introduced into the class, and research and development on the Informal Science Learning experience preferred by the students should be done.

A meta-study of Informal Science Learning and Generic Learning Outcomes: Focusing on published papers in the last 10 years (비형식과학교육과 포괄적학습성과의 메타연구: 최근 10년간의 발표논문을 중심으로)

  • Despite the importance of science education in an informal environment, the reality is that there is a lack of trend analysis research on 'Informal Science Learning (ISL)' and its effects. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to find out the educational effects of ISL and how to use it, and to provide guidelines for future ISL research directions. This study classifies specific ISL-related papers published from 2010 to 2019 and compares them with each element of GLO used to measure the effectiveness of informal education. The fit of the analyzed data was checked for each part through SPSS and Chi-Square. In conclusion, it was found that researchers are using 'ISL' to pursue 'Knowledge and Understanding' and 'Attitudes and Values' among the five performance indicators of 'GLO'. On the other hand, 'Skills' and 'Enjoyment, Inspiration and Creativity' appear to have the least expectations, so supplementation is required in these areas in the future. In addition, this study intends to suggest a direction for informal science education-related program development and future research to various education workers.

Study for the Director's Purpose and Film Style of (<사울의 아들>의 연출의도와 형식에 관한 연구)

  • The style of a film is the element that makes audience realize director's purpose directly. As the film's spectacular background have became important it's hard to find non-wide screen film, and audience and theaters are very familiar to 1.85:1 film ratio and even wider. Nevertheless, did not follow this trend but to chose narrow film ratio and shallow focus. This film, of which the background is Nazi's concentration camp, does not allow audience to catch more information than main character Saul. It's because the director aims to make audience Saul's position in the film. This paper discuss how the style of reflects the director's intention.

Interaction Patterns in Dialogic Inquiry of Middle School Students in Small Groups in the Natural History Gallery (자연사관 관람에서 중학생 소집단의 대화적 탐구에서 나타나는 상호작용 유형)

  • Inquiry became an essential methodology in science education. Recently, argumentation becomes more important in inquiry, but inquiry-based teaching in school science would not provide enough opportunities for students to have voluntary and active interactions during inquiry activities. Informal science learning can be an alternative for authentic inquiry. Accordingly, this study aims to find interaction patterns in dialogic inquiry of junior high school students in small groups in the natural history gallery. Inquiry elements and interaction patterns are analyzed with 42 dialogues of 13 small groups. As a result, seven interaction patterns are identified. First, five major interaction patterns were drawn as follows; Sharing questions, asking questions and simple response, asking questions and simple explanation, asking questions-simple explanation-(collecting data)-data based explanation, and asking questions-collecting data-data based explanation. Second, pattern 2, 'asking questions and simple response', is subdivided into three categories; passive and/or evasive response, inaccurate response, and repeated patterns of asking questions-simple response. The results of the study provide different patterns of dialogic interactions in a small group inquiry in informal contexts from formal contexts, and provide foundations to understand middle school students' interactive dialogues of inquiry occurred in the natural history gallery.

  • 합리적인 기기의 활률론적 지진위험도 평가를 위해서는 모델의 동특성에 대한 보다 현실적인 정보가 제공되어야 한다. 이 연구에서는 심한 비선형 동적 거동을 보일 것으로 예상되는 철제 전기 캐비넷의 동특성 시험결과 및 분석 절차를 제시하였다. 특히, 이 연구에서는 가진 강도의 크기에 따른 동특성의 비선형 집중분석하고, 그 비선형성의 원인을 고찰하였다. 시험 결과 및 이 논문에 제시된 분석 절차를 이용하여 시험체의 동특성이 효과적으로 도출될 수 있으며, 대상 시험체는 가진 강도에 따라 심한 비선형 거동을 함을 입증하였다. 비선형성의 원인은 일반적인 재료 비선형이라기 보다는 각 부품들의 마찰력과 기하학적인 비선형성에 기인함을 발견하였다. 또한, 캐비넷 형식의 기긱에 대한 합리적인 내진안전성 평가를 위해서는 각 방향별로 서로 다른 감쇠값을 적용할 것을 추천하였다. 또한, 캐비넷 형식의 기기에 대한 합리적인 내진안전성 평가를 위해서는 각 방향별로 서로 다른 감쇠값을 적용할 것을 추천하였다.

  • The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) legislates the CS-E (Certification Specification-Engine) for type certification of aircraft engines. According to the CS-E, engine manufacturers (type certificate holders) the need to show compliance of continued airworthiness of an engine during the overhaul, and the Accelerated Mission Test (AMT) is usually accepted as means of compliance. As a part of the Korean Civil Helicopter program, the engine has been developed with foreign manufacturers to achieve the EASA engine type certificate. In this study, the AMT procedure is planned for the engine to be certified by the EASA, and AMT cycles are also established to meet airworthiness requirements of the CS-E in consideration of the engine design and operation characteristics.

  • 여수로는 수리시설의 계획저수위보다 높아진 수위를 낮추기 위하여 물을 안전하고 신속하게 방류하는 시설로 조절형식과 비조절 형식으로 구분한다. 조절형식은 인위적으로 조절수문을 이용하여 수위를 조절하는 형식으로 수문식과 밸브식으로 분류하며, 이상홍수대비 비상방수문에 많이 사용되고 있다. 비조절형식은 자연적으로 수위를 조절하는 형식으로 개수로와 관수로로 분류한다. 개수로에는 측수로식, 슈트식, 자유낙하식, 월류식이 있으며, 관수로에는 터널식, 선굴식, 암거식, 사이펀식이 있다. 한국농어촌공사가 관리하는 저수지는 3400개소로 측수로식 2091개소, 월류식 1269개소, 사이펀식 5개소, 선굴식 3개소, 기타 56개소로 비조절형식 여수로가 약 98%를 차지하고 있다. 2003년도에 재해대비 수리시설 설계기준이 개정되어 유역면적 2,500ha, 총저수량 500만m3이상이고 하류지역의 재산 및 인명피해가 클 것으로 예상되는 저수지는 PMF를 설계홍수량으로 적용할 것을 규정하고 있다. 이러한 설계기준의 홍수빈도를 적용하기 위해 기존 저수지의 치수능력증대 사업이 추진되고 있다. 치수능력증대방안으로는 제당높이 증고, 보조여수로 설치, 기존여수로의 확장 등 다양한 방안들이 있으며, 구조물 안정성, 경제성, 현장 여건을 고려한 시공성 등을 종합적으로 고려하여 채택하고 있다. 그 중 가장 대표적인 방안이 기존의 설계빈도를 초과하는 PMF 홍수량에 대하여 추가로 보조여수로를 설치하여 방류하는 방안이다. 본 연구에서는 기존 사이펀 여수로가 설치되어 있는 저수지에 측수로식 여수로와 사이폰식 여수로를 신설하여 FLOW-3D로 수치해석을 수행하였다. PMF 유입에 대한 저수지의 안정성을 확보하고, 이상강우에 의한 재해를 사전에 예방하기 위하여 신설 여수로의 방류능력, 접근 유속, 허용최대유속 등 각종 수리특성을 분석하여 홍수량 배제 능력을 검토하였다.

  • This study is foundation study to understand the Location and the composition of Joseon Royal Tombs, the purpose is to bring light on the types of Sinro Eoro in Joseon Royal Tombs. The type was grouped into Regular type and Irregular type by relations with the approach way, Hongsalmun and Jeongjagak, and the Irregular type was grouped into Curved type and Divided type. The making pattern of Sinro Eoro was divided into three period, the former period, the transition period and the latter period, by the length and the Irregular type. The Regular type was affected by the length of Geonwonreung's Sinro Eoro as the minimum standard in the former period. The result of examining the Irregular type's present condition in Jeongreung, Hyeonreung, Mokreung, Jangreung and Yeongreung, narrow topograph and the waterway were important factors to decide the type. In other words, the type of Irregular Sinro Eoro was constructed by a topography and a waterway in the length of Geonwonreung's Sinro Eoro as the minimum standard.
