  • Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology is gaining global attention as it can automatically generate sentences, images, and voices that humans previously generated. In particular, ChatGPT, a representative generative AI service, shows proactivity and accuracy differentiated from existing chatbot services, and the number of users is rapidly increasing in a short period of time. Despite this growing interest in generative AI services, most preceding studies are still in their infancy. Therefore, this study utilized LDA topic modeling and keyword network diagrams to derive success factors for generative AI services and to propose successful business strategies based on them. In addition, using ChatGPT, a new research methodology that complements the existing text-mining method, was presented. This study overcomes the limitations of previous research that relied on qualitative methods and makes academic and practical contributions to the future development of generative AI services.

  • Technology-based start-ups have great economic ripple effect such as economic growth and job creation. Therefore, a strategic approach is required in order for such start-ups to continuously grow. However, many technology-based start-ups do not survive the Death-Valley and are being eliminated from the market. This is an empirical study on influencing variables that have impact on their performance. This study presents growth intention and influencing variables that have impact on performance (financial performance, technological performance) based on previous research on technology-based start-up. Also, this study examines the relationship between entrepreneurial competence, team commitment and growth intention, and finds the effect of controlling business-network. Structural equation modeling was performed in order to test the research hypothesis. Survey was conducted on the firms that have been certified by Youth Startup Academy of Small and Medium Business Corporation. A total of 306 samples were collected from the survey. An empirical test was conducted on the research hypothesis using SPSS 21.0 and Amos 22.0. The result of hypothesis test shows that growth intention has positive influence on both financial and technological performance, and entrepreneurial competence (technological competence, strategic management competence, creative competence and team commitment) has positive influence on growth intention. • As eTransformation and collaborative eCommerce have been on the rise, business processes between business partners are increasingly recognized as important assets that need to be integrated. These trends imply more complex and dynamic business processes should be considered in order to integrate related business organizations and business units. Moreover, these business processes are widely distributed across stakeholders. Therefore, there is a need for business process modeling that is usable, flexible and capable of integrating systems consistently across businesses and technology barriers. In this paper, a business process modeling methodology is introduced, which is based on topdo\W and model-driven approach utilizing OMG's MDA(Model-Driven Architecture) and UML profile for EDOC(Enterprise Distributed Object Computing). This provides the ability to model business process at all levels simultaneously, to combine business process models retaining their meaning, to use business process design patterns constraining the behavior of sub-processes, and to derive specific codes from a stable model as the underlying infrastructure shifts over time. In addition, we suggest some modifications of the meta-model for EDOC-Business Process Profile by adding new features in order to model business processes rigidly. This paper illustrates some examples of business process modeling and compares them with UML diagrams and IDEF models. The proposed methodology is implemented to develop a business process modeling tool.

  • For the scheduling and the job assignment of the ship hull production design which is a process-based work, we suggest the simulation-based scheduling using the discrete-event-based business process simulation. First, we analyze the ship hull production design process from the perspective of a job assignment to make it into the simulation model using DEVS (Discrete Event System Specification) which is the representative modeling method for a discrete-event simulation. Based on the APIs of the open-source discrete-event simulation engine, we implement the simulation using the Groovy script. We develop the scenario generator in which the user defines detail information of the construction drawing and its member blocks, and design engineers information, and the various setting for the simulation including the job assignment strategy. We use the XML files from this scenario generator as inputs of simulation so that we can get simulation result in forms of Gantt chart without changes of the simulation model.

  • Tracking ICT applications on construction business processes is critical to the success of ICT-applied construction projects. Existing IDEF0 is a representative modeling method for visualizing and analyzing business processes. It defines a construction production process into a visual information model, hence, encouraging the project participant to understand the activities, their deliverable, and control flow of the process. However, IDEF0 dose not lend itself to ICT-applied construction processes, because it does not provide a mean to define how, in what order, by which each and every activity that ICT applied implements. This paper presents a new business modeling method that improves the traceability of ICT application (IAMB: ICT Application tracking Model for Business process) for construction management. The IAMB contributes to handle the sophisticated features of construction management processes to which ICT are applied. The method categorizes the process into three types: management, construction, and information exchange. The validity of IAMB was confirmed by analyzing the performance when it is used for tracking each modeling step of lift reservation process which making use of ICT. The test case provides an admissible evidence that the method encourage to define who, what, how, which order, and by which ICT tools the construction process exchanges production information.

  • This study aims to contribute to the initial research on on-device AI in an environment where generative AI-based services on mobile and other on-device platforms are increasing. To derive success strategies for generative AI-based chatbot services in a mobile environment, over 200,000 actual user experience review data collected from the Google Play Store were analyzed using the LDA topic modeling technique. Interpreting the derived topics based on the Information System Success Model (ISSM), the topics such as tutoring, limitation of response, and hallucination and outdated informaiton were linked to information quality; multimodal service, quality of response, and issues of device interoperability were linked to system quality; inter-device compatibility, utility of the service, quality of premium services, and challenges in account were linked to service quality; and finally, creative collaboration was linked to net benefits. Humanization of generative AI emerged as a new experience factor not explained by the existing model. By explaining specific positive and negative experience dimensions from the user's perspective based on theory, this study suggests directions for future related research and provides strategic insights for companies to improve and supplement their services for successful business operations.
