Fuzzy Nonlinear Adaptive Control of Overhead Cranes for Anti-Sway Trajectory Tracking and High-Speed Hoisting Motion (고속 권상운동과 흔들림억제 궤적추종을 위한 천정주행 크레인의 퍼지 비선형 적응제어)

  • Nonlinear adaptive control of overhead cranes is investigated for anti-sway trajectory tracking with high-speed hoisting motion. The sway dynamics of two dimensional underactuated overhead cranes is heavily coupled with the trolley acceleration, hoisting rope length, and the hoisting velocity which is an obstacle in the design of decoupling control based anti-sway trajectory tracking control law To cope with this obstacle. we propose a fuzzy nonlinear adaptive anti-sway trajectory tracking control law guaranteeing the uniform ultimate boundedness of the sway dynamics even in the presence of uncertainties in such a way that it cancels the effect of the trolley acceleration and hoisting velocity on the sway dynamics. In particular. system uncertainties, including system parameter uncertainty unmodelled dynamics, and external disturbances, are compensated in an adaptive manner by utilizing fuzzy uncertainty observers. Accordingly, the ultimate bound of the tracking errors and the sway angle decrease to zero when the fuzzy approximation errors decrease to zero. Finally, numerical simulations are performed to confirm the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

Comparison of Relative Weights of Cost for Road-bed Construction and Energy on Life Cycle Cost of Railroad -in Case of Seoul-pusan High Speed Rail (철도노선의 생애주기비용에서 노반건설비와 에너지비용의 상대적 비중 분석 - 경부고속철도 사례를 중심으로)

  • It is generally recognize that the weight of energy cost for railroad alignment in the life cycle cost is higher than that for roadway. This study analyzed the relative weights of railroad road-bed construction cost and energy cost in the case of Seoul-Pusan High Speed Rail. Recently, the optimization of railroad alignment with computerized methodology has been studies. The optimization is supposed to aim the minimization of life cycle cost including the energy cost as well as the minimization of the construction cost. The operation period of the Seoul-Pusan High Speed Rail is limited to ten years, then various future operation scenario were developed for the next 20 years. The weight of energy cost is estimated 10~30% of the construction cost by scenario, and it is lower than the figure generally expected. It may be meaningful to provide the method to include the energy cost in the railroad alignment optimization.

  • 본 논문에서는 영상을 확대할 경우에 발생하는 영상의 품질 저하를 최소화하기 위하여 원본 영상 픽셀과 확대된 결과 영상 픽셀 간의 명암도 차이와 보간 수행시 적용되는 가중치 값을 퍼지 기법에 적용하여 영상을 확대하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 기존의 양선형 보간법으로 도출된 결과 영상 픽셀과 원본 영상 픽셀 간의 명암도 차이와 보간 수행시 네 개의 픽셀 값에 곱하게 되는 가중치 값을 퍼지 소속 함수에 적용하여 원본 영상의 픽셀 정보와 가장 근접한 특징을 가진 확대된 결과 영상의 픽셀 정보를 최종적으로 도출한다. 제안된 방법을 실험한 결과, 기존의 양선형 보간법에 비해 영상 확대시, 발생하는 문제점인 흐림 현상이 상대적으로 감소하여 영상의 품질이 개선되는 것을 확인하였다.

  • 음성 코딩에 있어서 스펙트럼 정보의 효율적인 방법으로써 다중 형태 프레임 분할 방법을 제안하였다. 일반적인 보코더의 경우 엔코더에서 전송된 스펙트럼 정보를 인접 프레임 계수간의 선형보간에 의해 하부프레임 단위의 스펙트럼 계수간의 선형보간에 의해 하부프레임 단위의 스펙트럼 정보를 재생해 낸다. 이 때 비선형적 스펙트럼 변화가 존재하는 경우에는 스펙트럼 왜곡이 발생하며 본 논문에서는 이를 intra frame spectral distortion 이라 정의한다. 제안된 다중 형태 프레임 분할 방법은 한 프레임내에서 스펙트럼 계수의 변화를 잘 나타낼 수 있도록 차수마다 다른 분할 형태를 적용하여 IFSD을 최소화시키는 방법이다. 스펙트럼 정보로써 line spectrum pair 계수를 이용하였으며, 분할 개수 및 분할 형태의 개수에 따른 IFSD을 분석하여 이를 기존의 방법과 비교하였다. 그 결과 기존의 방법보다 적은 정보량으로 왜곡이 적은 스펙트럼을 재생할 수 있었다.

  • 본 논문은 원하는 슬라이딩모드의 고유값을 얻을 수 있도록 하고 슬라이딩 평면에 수렴하는 속도를 결정하는 이산시간 슬라이딩 모드 제어기를 설계하는 방법을 제시한다. 기존에 연속시간에서만 적용되어졌던 Ackermann의 공식을 이산시간에서 슬라이딩 평면과 선형제어기를 설계 하는데 사용함으로써 원하는 폐루프의 고유값을 얻을 수 있도륵 하였으며 비선형제어기가 선형 제어기로 설계됨으로써 채터링 현상을 줄이도록 하였다. 또한 슬라이딩 평면 근처에 밴드를 도입함으로써 공진의 여기를 최소화하면서 빠른 응답을 갖도록 하였다. 제안된 방법의 효율성을 보여주기 위해 Simulation과 실험결과를 보여줬다.

  • The autopilot system of vessel is proposed to take service safety sorority, to elevate service efficiency, to decrease labor and to improve working environment. Ultimate purpose of it is to minimize the number of crew by guaranteeing economical efficiency of shipping service. Recently, the research is being achieving to compensate various nonlinear parameters of vessel and apply it is course keeping control, track keeping control, roll-rudder stabilization, dynamic ship positioning and automatic mooring control etc. using optimizing control technique. Relation between rudder angle controlled by steering machine of vessel and ship-heading angle, and load condition of ship are nonlinear, which affect various parameters of shipping service. The speed and direction of waves, velocity and quantity of wind, which also cause the non-linearity of it. Therefore the autopilot system of ship requires the robust control algorithm can overcome various non-linearity. On this paper, we design the autopilot system of ship, which overcome nonlinear parameters and disturbance of it using Fuzzy Algorithm, evaluate the proposed algorithm and its excellence through simulation

Rapid Characterization and Prediction of Biomass Properties via Statistical Techniques

  • The use of renewable energies has been required to diminish the dependency on fossil fuels. As one of clean energy sources biomass has been extensively studied because various biomass resources necessitated rapid characterization of their chemical and physical properties in an on-line or real-time basis. For such an analysis near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy has been successfully applied because of its non-invasive and informative characteristics. In this work, the applicability of nonlinear chemometric techniques based on biomass near infrared (NIR) data is evaluated for the rapid prediction of ash/char contents in different types of biomass. The prediction results of various prediction models and the effect of using preprocessing methods for NIR data are compared using six types of biomass NIR data. The results showed that nonlinear prediction models yielded better prediction performance than linear ones. It also turned out that by adopting the use of proper preprocessing methods the performance of prediction of biomass properties improved.

  • This paper deals with an acceleration controller design for a kill vehicle equipped with a divert and attitude control system (DACS). In the proposed method, the attitude control system (ACS) is used to produce the thrust command to nullify angle-of-attack. For the angle-of-attack control, a nonlinear angle-of-attack controller is proposed based on the feedback linearization methodology. Since the flight path angle is identical to the attitude angle under the condition of zero angle-of-attack, the divert control system (DCS) can directly produce the lateral acceleration which is demanded from the guidance loop. In the proposed method, we can minimize the aerodynamic uncertainty due to the propulsive force. Additionally, we can simplify the operation logic of DCS and ACS. In this paper, nonlinear simulations are performed to show the performance of the proposed method.

Form-finding of Free-form Membrane Structure based on Geometrically Non-linear Analysis and Interface method (기하학적 비선형해석을 이용한 비정형 막 구조물의 형상탐색과 인터페이스 기법)

  • The membrane structure maintains stable form by giving initial tension to ductile membrane and increasing the stiffness of exterior that is much adopted in the large span spatial structure by making its thickness thin. This kind of membrane structure has characteristic that can express free-form curve, so the selection of structural form is very important. So, this paper proposes the expression of free-form surface based on NURBS basis function and the finite element method considering geometrical nonlinearity for the deduction of large deformation result. Also, for minimizing the approximation of the surface that is derived from the form-finding result, the interface method that change finite element mesh to NURBS is proposed. So, the optimum surface of free-form membrane is derived.
