  • The Critical Path Method(CPM) is an effective tool used for planning and scheduling. One of strong point in the CPM is what can calculate float. Float is able to prolong without having an effect on overall schedule of project, however concept and scope about ownership is not definite, because it is a by-product of project. Thus participants have had many dispute in using float because of their interests. In recent years, a few theories have evolved in an attempt to solve this problem. But the prior research did not make a reasonable distribution of float because their criteria of distribution was based on ratio for total project time. Actually, an application of float is achieved by participant's delay risk. Therefore. this paper proposes criteria for float distribution using delay risks, and the framework for the assessment of the delay risks.

A 'Social Justice' in Geography of Welfare (사회정의와 복지지리학에 관한 고찰)

  • Social justice has been an interest of whole geographers for almost four decades. The conception of social justice includes fairness and equity in the distribution of a wide range of attributes. The purpose of this study is to understand social justice in geography of welfare. The theories of social justice are needed to describe relationship between social justice and geography of welfare. The evaluation of spatial variations in welfare is closely associated with social justice. Equality, equity, efficiency, and fairness are the reasonable criteria to apply to the evaluation of distributions of welfare, relating to distributive(or territorial) justice. However, there are complications in the spatial application of welfare evaluation criteria, including access across space, boundary crossing and ecological fallacy.

  • The Live load distribution factors currently used in the standard prestressed concrete I-girder bridge are just a reflection of overseas design standards. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an equation of the live load distribution factors fit for the design conditions of Korea, considering the standardized section and the design strength of concrete. In this study, the major variables to determine of distribution factors were selected and an equation of live load distribution factors was developed.

  • 2003년 $6.9{\sim}7.4$ 기간동안 제네바에서 열렸던 세계전파통신회의에서는 5GHz대역 무선랜용 주파수 분배 위성DMB 주파수 이용 기준, 성층권통신시스템(HAPS)용 주파수 추가분배 등 총 50여개 의제를 다루었으며 우리나라의 입장이 크게 반영되는 분배 결과를 이루었다. 본 논문에서는 5GHz대역 무선랜 주파수 분배를 중점적으로 기술하며 위성DMB 및 성층권통신시스템, IMT-2000 이후 시스템 주파수 발굴에 대해 간단히 언급한다.

  • CDN (Content Delivery Network) [1]은 분배서버와 네트워크의 상태를 고려하여 다양한 서비스의 컨텐츠를 보다 효율적으로 전송할 수 있도록 설계된 네트워크이다. 이러한 CDN을 구성하기 위해서는 네트워크 계획, 컨텐츠 할당, 분배서버 선택 등을 고려해야 한다. 특히, 분배서버 선택을 위한 기존의 연구들은 분배서버 선택 시 모든 분배서버에 대한 측정된 값 (응답시간, 지연)이나 실시간 정보를 기준으로 분배서버를 선택하게 되므로 호 봉쇄 확률을 고려하지 않게 되고 제어 프로토콜로 인한 오버헤드가 많아지게 된다. 이를 해결하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 분배서버에서 서비스하고 있는 호의 수와 응답 시간을 고려한 새로운 서버 선택 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 알고리즘에서 CDN의 분배서버들은 호의 수에 따라 논리적 최소 힙(heap) 구조로 구성되며 이를 이용하여 각 호스트는 자신에게 적당한 분배서버들의 서브 집합을 구성함으로써 오버헤드를 줄일 수 있는 메커니즘을 제안한다.

  • 패치 분배는 시스템의 보안과 네트워크를 구성하는 여러 시스템들에 설치된 소프트웨어의 최약성를 보완하기 위한 가장 중요한 요소 중의 하나이다.[4] 최근 다수의 보안패치 분배 시스템이 나타나면서 이들에 대한 선별기준에서 충족시켜야만 하는 필수 조건으로서 이종 컴퓨팅 환경과 다중 플랫폼, 운영체제, 버전의 지원여부가 중요하게 여겨지고 있다.[5,6] 본 논문에서는 이러한 필수조건들을 충족시킬 수 있는 보안패치 분배 시스템을 설계 및 구현하는데 필요한 보안패치 DB 구축 및 검색 방법을 연구, 제시하고자 한다.

Girder Distribution Factors for Continuous Steel Girder Bridges (강거더 연속교의 횡방향 활하중분배계수 검증)

  • Current bridge design codes do not clearly specify the girder distribution factors for continuous bridges. The objective of the paper is to validate the use of code-specified girder distribution factors for the continuous steel girder bridges, and to provide a basis for recommended girder distribution factors (GDF) for interior girders, suitable for evaluation of existing continuous steel girder bridges. This paper presents the procedure and results of 3-dimensional finite element analysis that were performed on five of continuous steel girder bridges to verify girder distribution factors. The analysis results showed that the live load moment distribution at the negative moment region is very similar to those at the positive moment region in continuous steel girder bridges. It was also found that the GDF's based on the strain values are similar to those based on the deflection. GDF's based on the deflection show marginally better distribution. The analysis results confirmed that the code specified GDF's for continuous steel girder birdges are very conservative.

  • For Korean design provisions are not equipped for skewed steel box girder bridges, when American provisions are adopted, load distribution factors different from real behavior are determinated. Furthermore the possibility of over or under estimated bridge design involves. The aim of this study is to provide more rational load distribution factor formulas based on real behavior for shear at obtuse corner of skewed steel box girder bridges. In order to accomplish the aim finite element analysis for a variety of skewed steel box girder bridge structural models is carried out, and each parameters degree of influence on wheel load distribution factors of skewed steel box girder bridges are analyzed. Then multiple regression analysis is fulfilled in order to propose formulas for determinating shear force load distribution factor of skewed steel box girder bridges.

  • The girder wheel load distribution factors stated in the Korean Bridge Specification and AASHTO Standard Specifications do not account for the effect of skewness of plate girders, and very little research has been conducted on girder wheel load distribution factors. The purpose of the study is to propose load distribution factor formulas for skew plate girder bridges which comprise various parameters through structural analysis. To comprise the validity of finite element models used in this study analytic values are compared with the field test results. From the results it should be noted that span length is not such a dominant parameter compared with others. In view of better load distribution of interior girders, skew arranged cross beams or bracing are preferable, furthemore bracing system is more effective than cross beam system. By means of regression analysis on the basis of analytic results wheel load distribution factor formulas are proposed and compared with current codes.

  • In this study, the ultimate strengths of 229 simply supported reinforced concrete deep beams tested to shear failure were evaluated by the ACI 318-05's strut-tie model approach implemented with the presented indeterminate strut-tie model and its load distribution ratio. The ultimate strengths of the deep beams were also estimated by the experimental shear equations, design codes that were based on experimental and theoretical shear strength models, and current strut-tie model design codes. The validity of the present strut-tie model and its load distribution ratio was examined through the comparison of the strength analysis results classified according to the prime design variables of the shear span-to-effective depth ratio, flexural reinforcement ratio, and compressive strength of concrete.
