  • The purpose of this study was to investigate how children's temperament and relationships with teachers affect their peer interaction. For this purpose, two surveys were conducted on mothers and teachers of 326 four- and five-year-old children attending four kindergartens in Gyeonggi Province. The data were analyzed by using PASW 18.0 to carry out hierarchical regression and post hocanalyses. The results showed that closeness to teachers moderated the effects of children's emotionality on their positive peer interaction. On the other hand, children's temperaments including emotionality and activity, and their relationship with teachers were directly influential on their negative peer interaction; no interaction effect was found between their temperament and relationships with teachers. It was concluded that the quality of teacher-child relationships could promote children's positive peer interaction while it could also reduce their negative interaction with peers. However, the temperament of children played limited roles in their negative peer interaction.

  • This study examined the effects of mothers' reactions toward children's negative emotion as well as mothers' emotional expressivity on children's social withdrawal. 206 children (103 boys, 103 girls; aged 4-5 years old) and their mothers participated in the study. Mothers reported their reactions to their child's negative emotion along with their expressivity. The teachers completed a rating scale to measure children's social withdrawal. The collected data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson's productive correlation coefficient, and hierarchical multiple regressions. The results showed a relation between mothers' distress reactions and punitive responses and children's social withdrawal. A mother's positive expressivity was negatively related to a child's social withdrawal. A hierarchical regression analysis indicated that the effects of mothers' punitive responses and minimization responses on children's withdrawal were moderated by a mother's positive expressivity. Mothers' punitive responses and minimization responses were positively associated with children's social withdrawal, especially for children who had the lowest level of mother's positive expressivity.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors that affect stress, emotional regulation, and adjustment to college life of health college students. The survey was conducted from June 21 to 30, 2021 for 190 health students in G and J area. The data were analyzed by frequency analysis, reliability analysis, simple correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The results showed that positive perception had positive correlation with negative perception(r=-.286,p<.01), emotional regulation (r=.296,p<.01), and university life adjustment(r=.520,p<.01). Negative perception was correlated with emotional regulation(r=-.619,p<.01), university life adjustment (r=-.428,p<.01) and negative(-). Emotional regulation had a positive correlation with university life adjustment(r=.341,p<.01). Positive perception, negative perception, and emotional regulation, which are sub-factors of perceived stress, were the factors affecting the adjustment to university life, and the explanatory power was 84%. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a program that can improve the adjustment of college students in health.

  • This study examined the differences in facial emotion processing related to psychopathic traits. On the basis of the Psychopathic Personality Inventory-Revised (Lee & Park, 2008), students were divided into psychopathic trait (n=15) and control (n=15) groups. Participants performed two tasks consisted of negative(angry, fear, sad) and neutral faces. Event-related potentials(EPRs) were recorded when participants categorized gender in the implicit task and emotion in the explicit task. We analyzed the late positive potentials(LPP) amplitude to investigate differences in emotion processing between psychopathic trait group and control group. In the implicit task, there was no significant difference in both groups. However, there was a significant interaction between emotion and group at the frontocentral region in the explicit task. The psychopathic trait group showed greater LPP amplitudes for the neutral faces than for the negative faces, whereas the control group showed similar LPP amplitudes for the neutral and negative faces at the frontocentral site. These results might reflect the abnormalities in emotional processing in individuals with psychopathic traits.

  • South Korea has become richer economically than the past, but still level of happiness is low. This research was conducted to verify the relationships among mental health, self-forgiveness, and psychological well-being. Participants were 232 college students in an university in Seoul. Methods of data analysis were ANOVA, regression analysis, and path analysis. As a result of analyses, first, MMPI-2 clinical scales which showed significant correlation with psychological well-being were as follows: Hs, D, Pd, Pa, Pt, Sc, Si. Second, PSY-5 scales which showed significant correlation with psychological well-being were as follows: PSYC, NEGE, INTR. Third, stepwise regression analysis revealed that Sc, Si and Pd among clinical scales of MMPI-2 were associated with psychological well-being. Fourth, PSYC, NEGE and INTR among clinical scales of PSY-5 scales were associated with psychological well-being. Fifth, self-forgiveness had a significant mediating effect in the relationship between mental health and psychological well-being. Based on the results, implications related to importances of mental health and self-forgiveness were discussed for increasing psychological well-being of college students.

  • Customer's reward program is a prevailing promotional technique. Recently, both management and marketing fields have been interested in the failure of customer's reward program. However, there are few empirical research regarding this. Therefore, this study examined a research model that employs justice in processing of customer's reward program perceived by customer to explain commitment(calculative commitment, affective commitment) and complaining behavior which is mediated by negative affect. Data was collected from the customers who dissatisfied with their reward programs. For the analysis, frequency, cronbach' ${\alpha}$ and path analysis were used as statistical test tool. Additionally, SPSS 12.0 and AMOS 4.0 were used for analyzing the hypotheses. As a result, proposed structural model largely supports the hypothesized framework and the major findings of this study are summarized as follows: First, distributive and interactional justice were negatively related to negative affect. But procedural justice didn't influence negative affect. Second, negative affect was negatively related to calculative commitment. But affective commitment wasn't influenced by negative affect. Third, negative affect was positively related to complaining behavior. Fourth, calculative commitment was negatively related to complaining behavior. But negative affect didn't influence complaining behavior. In conclusion, It can be posited that justice, negative affect, 2 forms of commitment and complaining behavior are important factors.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the visuo-spatial attention ability and the emotional perception ability of people across the normal range of the scores on the bipolar disorder scale. The Korean version of the Mood Disorder Questionnaire (K-MDQ) was used to measure the bipolar disorder tendency of normal people. A useful field of view (UFOV) task and an emotional perception task were used to measure visuo-spatial attention and emotional perception ability, respectively. The participants did not have any mental illness history or other medical problems. The participants were divided into three groups according to K-MDQ score (low, normal, and high), and their performances were compared. In the UFOV task, the high K-MDQ score group had lower level of performance than the other groups, suggesting that a high bipolar tendency is associated with reduction of visuo-spatial attention ability. In the emotional perception task, the group with the high K-MDQ score showed higher perception of negative emotion bias than the other groups, suggesting a high bipolar tendency to associate with reduction of emotional perception ability. These results suggest that visuo-spatial and emotional attention abilities are related with bipolar disorder tendency even in the normal population.

  • This study focused on the links between emotionality, interpersonal and intrapersonal intelligence, and behavior problems in a sample of 185 four- to five-year-old children in kindergarten and daycare centers in Seoul. All variables were measured by the teachers of surveyed children. Collected data were analyzed by Simple Regression and Hierarchical Multiple Regression. The main results of this study were as follows: Firstly, children's positive and negative emotionality each exerted negative and positive effects on their interpersonal and intrapersonal intelligence. Secondly, children's positive emotionality had a negative influence on internalizing behavior problems. On the other hand, children's negative emotionality had a positive influence on internalizing and externalizing behavior problems. Finally, effect of children's positive emotionality on their internalizing behavior problems was totally mediated by interpersonal and intrapersonal intelligence. On the other hand, effect of children's negative emotionality on their internalizing and externalizing behavior problems was partially mediated by their interpersonal and intrapersonal intelligence.
