  • Objective: This study was carried out to evaluate the effect of the isolation methods of inner cell mass from mouse blastocyst, types of feeder cells and treatment time of mitomycin C on the formation rate of ICM colony. Methods: The inner cells were isolated by conventional immunosurgery, partial trophoblast dissection with syringe needles and whole blastocyst co-culture method. Commercially available STO and primary cultured mouse embryonic fibroblast (pMEF) feeder cells were used, and mitomycin C was treated for 1, 2 or 3 hours, respectively. The formation rate of ICM colony was observed after isolation of ICM and culture of ICM on the feeder cells for 7 days. Result: The ICM colony formation rate on STO were significantly higher in partial trophoblast dissection group (58%) than that in immunosurgery (12%) or whole blastocyst culture (16%) group (p<0.05). The formation rate on pMEF feeder layer was higher in partial trophoblast dissection (88%) and whole blastocyst culture (82%) group than that in immunosurgery (16%) group (p<0.05). When mitomycin C treated to pMEF for 2 hours, the formation rate of 88% was significantly higher than those of other conditions. Conclusion: Above results showed that the efficient isolation method of ICM from blastocyst was the partial trophoblast dissection and the appropriate treatment time of mitomycin C was 2 hours. However, the subculture of ICM colony and characterization of stem cells should be carried out to confirm the efficacy of the partial trophoblast dissection method.

  • This study is aim to examine the influence of the social supports factor of the college students who majors in health or social welfare on their college adjustment and whether or not academic stress would perform a mediating role in the relationship between social supports factor and college adjustment. The subjects in this study were the college students who majored in health or social welfare in Gyeongsang Namdo Province. Data were collected through self reported structured questionnaire form using convenient sampling methods. The findings of the study were as follows: First, the social supports factor and academic stress factor of the college students were found to have exerted a statistically significant influence on college adjustment. Second, the academic stress factor was found to have had partial mediating effects on the relationship between the social supports factor and college adjustment. The findings of the study illustrated that the academic stress factor played a buffering role in the social supports factor that affected the college adjustment of the college students.

  • This study was performed to verify the effects of disability service providers' human rights awareness and social support on social integration. In addition to identifying the mediating effect of social support when human rights awareness are recognized impact on social integration and verified the direct and indirect effects on social integration. In result, First, human rights awareness is having a statistically significant effect on social support, Second, on human rights awareness also it showed a statistically significant effect on social integration. Third, social support has been identified as affecting social integration, Under the influence of social support appeared to affect human rights awareness recognized indirectly in social integration. This the human rights awareness affects directly social integration, social support was identified as mediators in the process of human rights awareness and social integration. Therefore, If a disability service providers made the correct recognition for human rights and social support can be seen that social integration can be achieved.

  • This paper presents a seismic reliability analysis method for an offshore wind turbine with a twisted tripod support structure under earthquake loading. A three dimensional dynamic finite element model is proposed to consider the nonlinearity of the ground-pile interactions and the geometrical characteristics of the twisted tripod support structure where out-of-plane displacement occurs even under in-plane lateral loadings. For the evaluation of seismic reliability, the failure probability was calculated for the maximum horizontal displacement of the pile head, which is calculated from time history analysis using artificial earthquakes for the design return periods. The application of the subset simulation method using the Markov Chain Monte Carlo(MCMC) sampling is proposed for efficient reliability analysis considering the limit state equation evaluation by the nonlinear time history analysis. The proposed method can be applied to the reliability evaluation and design criteria development of the offshore wind turbine with twisted tripod support structure in which two dimensional models and static analysis can not produce accurate results.

  • The purpose of this study was to verify the differential influences of two emotional labor strategies on perceived CSS and burnout, and the mediating role of perceived CSS between emotional labor and burnout. The data was collected using self-reported questionnaires. A total of 568 hotel service employees who worked in various service jobs, participated in this study. The result indicated that surface acting had a positive influence on perceived CSS and burnout, and perceived CSS performed a mediating role between surface acting and burnout. In addition, deep acting had a negative effect on burnout but no effect on perceived CSS. As a result, deep acting reduced burnout without increasing perceived CSS, unlike surface acting. These results suggest that the two emotional labor strategies need to be treated differently. Finally, the implications and limitations of this study were discussed.

  • When making conventional removable partial denture for the remaining teeth where the remaining teeth are only on one side, rotation of the denture occurs -in function- on the axis of the connected remaining teeth. If the edentulous portion is long, it becomes harder to obtain retention and stability for the abutment as the importance of the mucous membrane support is elevated. Such movements of denture decrease denture retention and stability, put excessive stress on the abutment, and give bad influence on periodontal health. Therefore, additional implant placement can be of a good choice in gaining additional retention and stability for partial denture. Thus hereby we report this clinical case as successful results were obtained by placing implants symmetrical to the remaining teeth and putting implant-supported surveyed crowns on the implants, allowing the partial denture to be designed to accept varying components and to have suitable path of insertion.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationships of Perceived stress, Social Support and Psychological burnout of Suicide Prevention Counselors. The subjects for this study were 132 Suicide Prevention Counselors. The data was conducted by using a correlations coefficient and the multiple regression analysis. The results of the study were as follows: First, correlations among variables of Perceived Stress and Social Support on subordinate variable of Psychological burnout of Suicide Prevention Counselors were significant. Second, Perceived Stress and Social Support have a significant influence on Psychological burnout of Suicide Prevention Counselors. Third, Social Support showed mediating effects between Stress and Psychological burnout. According to the results of this study, in order to reduce Perceived Stress and Psychological burnout of Suicide Prevention Counselors, we suggested that we would be required to receive Social Support of Suicide Prevention Counselors.

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the mediation effect of social support in the influence of anxiety over aging of the elderly group on successful aging. The results of analyses are as follows: First, as anxiety over aging of the elderly group increased, the successful aging decreased. Second, in the relationship between anxiety over aging of the elderly group and social support, the social support decreased as anxiety over aging increased. Third, in the relationship between social support and successful aging, an increase of social support led to an increase in successful aging. Fourth, Old man in relationship to and successful aging of ageing in the social support mediated effect parts of their identified. Thus, this study suggests measures to decrease the anxiety over aging of the elderly group for the successful aging and proposals for the further studies in an aging society.

  • In this study, we looked at the relationship among the anxiety, social support and trust experienced by the general public during the pandemic situation (COVID-19), and confirmed the effect of trust to the relationship between social support and anxiety. First, the correlations analysis that was performed to identify the relationship among the variables showed negative correlation between social support and anxiety. While it was also found that social support showed positive correlations with social trust, no significant correlations were shown with regards to government trust. Furthermore, government trust and social trust showed negative correlations with anxiety. Second, the regression analysis was conducted to verify the hypothesis that social support would affect anxiety through social trust. It showed that social trust partly mediated in the relationship between social support and anxiety. Based on the results above, the discussions and suggestions were presented throughout the study.
