Experimental Verification on Dynamic Stability of a Vertical Cantilevered Pipe with Attached Masses Conveying Fluid (복수 부가질량을 갖고 유동유체에 의한 수직외팔 파이프의 동적안정성에 관한 실험적 검증)

  • The paper presents both theoretical and experimental study fur dynamic instabilities of a vortical cantilevered pipe with two attached lumped masses conveying fluid. The two attached lumped masses can be considered as valves or some mechanical paras in real pipe systems. Eigenvalue behaviors depending on the flow velocity are investigated for the change of Positions and magnitudes of an attached lumped mass and a tip mass. In order to verify appropriate of numerical solutions, experiments were accomplished. Theoretical predictions have a good agreement with experimental ones.

Fire Simulation for Vent Flow and Temperature in Engine Room of Small Ship: Effects of Ceiling Duct Location and Side Vent Size (소형선박 기관실의 개구부 유동 및 온도에 대한 화재시뮬레이션: 천장 통풍통 위치 및 측면 개구부 크기 영향)

  • Fire simulations were performed using the Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) software to examine the vent flow and temperature in the engine room of a small ship. A diesel fire with a heat release rate of 10 kW was targeted, and the effects of the ceiling duct location, side vent existence and nonexistence, and side vent size were investigated. The existence or nonexistence of the side vent and its size considerably affected the smoke behavior, mass flow rate through the vent, and temperature. When the side vent was not installed or was small, the smoke layer reached the floor in the engine room. In addition, as the side vent size increased, the mass flow rate through the vent increased with decreasing temperature value. However, the effects of the ceiling duct location on the smoke behavior, mass flow rate through the vent, and temperature seemed to be relatively minor compared to those of the side vent size. Therefore, to improve the fire safety of the engine room in a small ship, the side vent size is considered to be a more important design factor than the ceiling duct location.

  • 과학위성 1호에는 위성의 임무를 수행하기 위하여 광학계, 구조부, 및 전자부 등 여러가지 부품들이 실장되는데, 그 중 전자부의 가장 중요한 부품 중의 하나인 인쇄회로기판(Printed Circuit Board, PCB)의 우주환경에서의 특성 대해서 논의하고자 한다. Solder Resistor(Solder Mask)의 화학성분이 위성체가 작동하는 우주환경에서 위성체 임무수행 시 발생할 수 있는 out-gassing으로 인해 위성체가 본연의 임무 실패라는 결과를 초래할 수 있다 NASA 및 ESA의 Out-gassing에 관한 규정과 TRW에 의한 KOMSAT에 사용된 재료의 진공상태의 Outgassing에 관한 내용에 의하면, 재료의 진공상태와 Out-gassing은 America Society for Testing and Materials에서 제시한 ASTM E959 기준에 따라 제작된다. 일반적으로 우주 환경에서 광학계나 전자부의 원활한 동작을 위해서는 인쇄 회로 기판의 총 질량손실(Total Mass Loss, TML)은 1.00%을 넘지 말아야 하며, 휘발성 응축 질량 (Collected Volatile Condensable Mass, CVCM)은 0.1% 미만이어야 한다. Total Mass Loss(TML) 방법은 대기중에서 측정한 질량과 진공 조건에서 변화되는 질량을 측정함으로써 진공조건에서의 탈기체 특성을 측정하는 방법이다. 본 연구에서는 Solder Resistor(Solder Mask)의 탈기체 측정을 위한 진공챔버의 측정방법 및 진공 형성 과정을 기술하고 실제 과학위성1호에 장착될 시료를 예로 들어 인쇄회로기판에 입힌 Solder Resistor(Solder Mask)가 우주환경인 진공상태에서 위성체 부품의 작동 시 발생할 수 있는 탈기체되는 정도를 질량의 변화분으로 측정하여 위성체가 우주 환경에서 본연의 임무를 안전하게 수행할 있는지를 검증하였다.부분이다.다.향을 해석하고 시뮬레이션 하였다.Device Controller)는 ECU로부터 명령어를 받아서 arm 및 safe 상태에 대한 텔리 메트리 데이터를 제공한다 그리고, SAR(Solar Array Regulator)는 ECU로부터 Bypass Relay 및 ARM Relay에 관한 명령어를 받아 수행되며 그에 따른 텔리 메트리 데이터를 제공한다. 마지막으로 EPS 소프트웨어를 검증하는 EPS Software Verification을 수행하였다 전력계 소프트웨어의 설계의 검증 부분은 현재 설계 제작된 전력계 .소프트웨어의 동작 특성 이 위성 의 전체 운용개념과 연계하여 전력계 소프트웨어가 전력계 및 위성체의 요구조건을 만족시키는지를 확인하는데 있다. 전력계 운용 소프트웨어는 배터리의 충ㆍ방전을 효율적으로 관리해 3년의 임무 기간동안 위성체에 전력을 공급할 수 있도록 설계되어 있다this hot-core has a mass of 10sR1 which i:s about an order of magnitude larger those obtained by previous studies.previous studies.업순서들의 상관관계를 고려하여 보다 개선된 해를 구하기 위한 연구가 요구된다. 또한, 준비작업비용을 발생시키는 작업장의 작업순서결정에 대해서도 연구를 행하여, 보완작업비용과 준비비용을 고려한 GMMAL 작업순서문제를 해결하기 위한 연구가 수행되어야 할 것이다.로 이루어 져야 할 것이다.태를 보다 효율적으로 증진시킬 수 있는 대안이 마련되어져야 한다고 사료된다.$\ulcorner$순응$\lrcorner$의 범위를 벗어나지 않는다. 그렇기 때문에도 $\ulcorner$순응$\lrcorner$$\ulcorner$표현$\lrcorner$의 성격과 형태를 외형상으로

A Robust Controller Design for the Position Control of a Spring-Mass System (탄성-질량시스템의 위치제어를 위한 강건 제어기 설계)

  • In this paper, we design a controller using the $\mu$-synthesis method and apply it for the spring-mass system with noncollocated sensors and actuators. We assume that the values of the spring stiffness and load mass of the plant are uncertain. The plant is modeled with parametric uncertainty by using the state space equation, especially the descriptor form. The $H_\infty$ controller designed by the $\mu$-synthesis method is compared with the standard $H_\infty$ controller To compare performances of two $H_\infty$ controllers, it is assumed that both controllers were designed with same weighting functions except that the $\mu$-synthesis controller has structured uncertainties. By compared with the standard $H_\infty$ controller, we show that the designed controller has satisfactory robust performance as well as robust stability by simulations and experiments.

Numerical Analysis of Added Mass Coefficient for Outer Tubes of Tube Bundle in a Circular Cylindrical Shell (원통 내부에 배열된 외곽 전열관의 유체 부가질량계수 해석)

  • According to the wear detection history for the steam generator tubes in the nuclear power plant, the outer tubes inside the steam generator have more problems on the flow-induced vibration than inner tubes. Many researchers and engineers have used a specified added mass coefficient for a given tube array during the design stage of the steam generator even though the coefficient is not constant for entire tube in cylindrical shell. The aim of this study is to find out the distribution of added mass coefficients for each tube along the radial location. When numbers of tubes inside a cylindrical shell are increased, values of added mass coefficients are also increased. Added mass coefficients at outer tubes are less than those of inner tubes and they are decreased with increasing the gap between the outermost tube and the cylindrical shell. It also turns out when the gap between the outermost tube and the cylindrical shell approaches infinite value, the added mass coefficient converges to an asymptotic value of given tube array in a free fluid field.

Design optimization of tuned mass damper for the vibration of hydraulic pipeline (유압 배관 진동 감쇠를 위한 동조질량감쇠기 최적 설계)

  • This paper carried out the optimal design of Tuned Mass Damper (TMD) to attenuate the vibrational energy of pipeline subjected to fluid movement. Under the uncertainty of the vibration source and the specification of a pipeline system, an adaptive approach to design TMD is suggested. A surrogate pipeline system model was designed using MATLAB, and the optimal design method was developed based on the surrogate pipe model. The developed optimization method was validated using Finite Element (FE) model in ANSYS Workbench. And the TMD was designed to account for measurement error and installed on the industrial pipeline system. It showed that the pipeline vibrational amplitude was reduced by 95 % after installing the TMD.

  • Vertical pumps are widely used owing to the fact that they occupy small floor space. In this type of pumps, however, the vibrational problems are very important, since, in many cases, they have less stiffness in comparison with lateral pumps. This study presents a simple solution method for calculating the natural frequencies and modes of vertical pumps. In this study, a mode of a vertical pump was developed and the nondimensional parameters for the vibrational characteristics of it were determined. Added mass was calculated for the effects of water and the transfer matrix method was used.

  • Korea Aerospace Research Institute has been developing a 50-meter class airship to demonstrate the technology to be used in the development of a stratospheric airship, and importance of accurate prediction of the dynamic behavior of an airship before flight test is widely conceived. The added mass has large impact on the dynamic characteristics of an airship unlike for an airplane and the added mass of the airship with empennage is predicted in this paper. At first, the usability of the strip theory is examined which integrates the analytic two dimensional results in the cross section along the longitudinal axis. A panel method with the surface distribution of sources is developed and its validity is also examined. Finally, the panel method with both source and doublet distributions is implemented, and it is validated and applied for the calculation of the added mass of a 50-meter class airship. Using the methods developed, the influence of empennage and control surface deflection on the added mass property of the airship is studied.

Correlation Analysis between BMI and Bone Density in Menopause Women (폐경여성의 BMI와 골밀도의 상관관계 분석)

  • This study retrospectively analyzed the test results of 113 healthy postmenopausal women without special diseases among patients who visited a medical institution in Busan from January 2020 to June 2021. The purpose of the study was to investigate the effect of BMI (Body Mass Index) on bone density in menopause women, the analysis of the lumbar and femur of patients with low weight (BMI<18.5) showed a significant probability (p-value) of 0.000, and the normal weight (18.5≦BMI<23.0) of the femur. In overweight (23.0≦BMI<25.0), the significance probability (p-value) of the lumbar region was 0.021 and the significance probability (p-value) of the femur was 0.034, confirming the correlation. However, in patients with high obesity (30.0≦BMI<40.0), the p-value of the lumbar region was 0.127, and the p-value of the femur was 0.093, indicating that there was no correlation between BMI and bone density.
