  • Interest to the RTLS that is one of RFID applications is increasing in recent. The RTLS(Real Time Locating Systems) is one of applications for locating and tracking using RFID tags which are attached to something like container, pallet, or all the things. This paper presents the design and the implementation of an RTLS system using 433MHz active RFID tags and use radio frequency to provide the scalability. Our system we developed using RFID platform takes into account an RTLS standard. Also, in this paper a routing protocol is included to data delivery to server via each reader. In order to perform the evaluation, in addition, some experiments in out door are performed and results such as error metric and distance are also included. Furthermore, simulation for the routing protocol we supposed is also included.

  • This paper shows the key management system in a small metallic cabinet using a small UHF RFID tags. Each key chain with a key has a custom-designed small RFID tag antenna. There are 6 metallic racks in the small cabinet, and each rack can hold 60 key chains. Therefore, the small cabinet can hold 360 key chains with tags. The 360 key chains with RFID tags in a cabinet are recognized by RFID key chain management system. Even though it is hard to recognize 360 tags in the a cabinet, this RFID key management system with small custom designed RFID tags can recognize all the tags in the small cabinet. To read the all the tags, the locations of antennas and tag shapes are optimized. The reading rates based on the bios-version of the reader and the locations of the reader antennas are compared.

  • The wide use of mobile devices such as smart phones makes the mobile commerce industry be growing-up rapidly. In mobile commerce security, how to secure a copyright of mobile contents and how to distribute it are of major concerns. The user can carry the smart phone regardless of the places. Thus the utilization of it is very high than that of personal computers. The USIM(Universal Subscriber Information Module) inserted in the smart phone binds the user with the device. This means that the smart phone can be used to represent the owner's identity. In this paper, we develop the mobile ID based digital signature scheme. We create the mobile ID by combining USIM with the user's random secret value. In addition, undeniable property of our signature scheme can make ID based applications such as mobile voting and mobile content distribution be possible with the smart phone.

  • IoT (Internet of Things) propels current networked communities into a advanced hyper-connected society/world where uniquely identifiable embedded computing devices are associated with the existing internet infrastructure. Therefore, the IoT services go beyond mere M2M (Machine-to-Machine communications) and should be able to empower users with more flexible communication capabilities over protocols, domains, and applications. In addition, The access control in IoT need a differentiated methods from the traditional access control to increase a security and dependability. In this paper, we describe implementation and design of the capability token based system for secure access control in IoT environments. In the proposed system, Authorities are symbolized into concepts of the capability tokens, and the access control systems manage the tokens, creation, (re)delegation and revocation. The proposed system is expected to decrease the process time of access control by using capability tokens.

  • In this paper, we proposed an iris-based authentication for smart healthcare service in secure telemedicine system. The medical and healthcare information's are very important data in telemedicine system from privacy information. thus, the proposed system provides a secure and convenient authentication method than the traditional ID/PW authentication method to a telemedicine system for age-related chronic diseases. When considering the peculiarities of the use of age-related chronic diseases convenience and healthcare environments, the proposed approach is difficult to secure than traditional ID/PW authentication method with the appropriate means to easily change when stolen or lost to others. In addition, the telemedicine system for the smart healthcare services is one of the types of privacy sensitive medical and health data. it is very important security needs in telemedicine system. Thus we protocol are offer high confidentiality and integrity than existing ID/PW method.

  • NAT is a very useful IP address translation technique that allows two connected networks using different and incompatible IP address schemes. But it is impractical to use NAT for an application which uses the encrypted IP packet, embedding IP addresses inside of data payloads, to guarantee End-to-End Security such as IPSec. In addition to rewriting the source/destination IP addresses in the packet, NAT must modify IP checksum every time, which could lead to considerable performance decrease of the overall system in the process of the address translation. RSIP is an alternative to solve these disadvantages of NAT and the address shortage problems. Both NAT and RSIP divide networks into inside and outside addressing realms. NAT translates addresses between internal network and external network, but RSIP uses a borrowed external address for outside communications. RSIP server assigns a routable public address to a RSIP client temporarily to communicate with public net-work outside of the private network. In this paper, RSIP gateway for intranet environment is designed and its performance is evaluated. From the results of performance evaluation, we knew that RSIP is operated less sensitive to the data traffic. Also, the experiment shows that RSIP performs better than NAT when the transmission data grows larger.

  • Kerberos authenticates clients using symmetric-key cryptography, and supposed to Oust other systems of the realm in distributed network environment. But, authentication and authorization are essential elements for the security. In this paper, we design an efficient and secure authentication/authorization mechanism by introducing the public/private-key and installing the proxy privilege server to Kerberos. In the proposed mechanism, to make a system more secure, the value of the session key is changed everytime using MAC(message authentication code) algorithm with the long-term key for user-authentication and a random number exchanged through the public key. Also, we reduce the number of keys by simplifying authentication steps. Proxy privilege server certifies privilege request of client and issues a privilege attribute certificate. Application server executes privilege request of client which is included a privilege attribute certificate. Also, a privilege attribute certificate is used in delegation. We design an efficient and secure authentication/authorization algorithm with Kerberos.

  • Cryptographic protocols based on bilinear pairings provide excellent alternatives to conventional elliptic curve cryptosystems based on discrete logarithm problems. Through active research has been done toward fast computation of the bilinear pairings, it is still believed that the computational cost of one pairing computation is heavier than the cost of one ECC scalar multiplication. However, there have been many progresses in pairing computations over binary fields. In this paper, we compare the cost of BLS signature scheme with ECDSA with equvalent level of security parameters. Analysis shows that the cost of the pairing computation is quite comparable to the cost of ECC scalar multiplication for the case of binary fields.

  • When broadcasters want immediately a variety of VOD files in a distributed server of them data centers and away contents provider, CPs of different platform to exchange high-quality HD, 3DTV video and other video files over the IP networks of high-performance that can be transferred quickly and must be configured quickly. This paper, by using an optional encryption method to complement a QoS and security of public network, suggests high speed and secure content transmission protocol such as VPN(Virtual Private Network) for large video files and big data. As configured high performance VPN, end to end devices use the best of available resources over public network by parallel transfer protocol and the secure content delivery network.

  • In this paper, we propose the DAMMC(Distributed Authentication Model using Multi-level Cluster) for wireless sensor networks. The proposed model is that one cluster header in m-layer has a role of CA(Certificate Authority) but it just authenticates sensor nodes in lower layer for providing an efficient authentication without authenticating overhead among clusters. In here, the m-layer for authentication can be properly predefined by user in consideration of various network environments. And also, the DAMMC uses certificates based on the threshold cryptography scheme for more reliable configuration of WSN. Experimental results show that the cost of generation and reconfiguration certification are decreased but the security performance are increased compared to the existing method.
