Type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM) is included in metabolic disorders characterized by hyperglycemia, which causes many complications, and requires long-term treatment resulting in massive medical expenses each year. There have been many studies to solve this problem, but the existing studies have not been accurate by learning and predicting the data at specific time point. Thus, this study proposed a model using RNN to increase the accuracy of prediction of T2DM. This work propose a T2DM prediction model based on Korean Genome and Epidemiology study(Ansan, Anseong Korea). We trained all of the data over time to create prediction model of diabetes. To verify the results of the prediction model, we compared the accuracy with the existing machine learning methods, LR, k-NN, and SVM. Proposed prediction model accuracy was 0.92 and the AUC was 0.92, which were higher than the other. Therefore predicting the onset of T2DM by using the proposed diabetes prediction model in this study, it could lead to healthier lifestyle and hyperglycemic control resulting in lower risk of diabetes by alerted diabetes occurrence.
Healthcare and data science are often linked through finances as the industry attempts to reduce its expenses with the help of large amounts of data. Data science and medicine are rapidly developing, and it is important that they advance together. Data science is a driving force in transition of healthcare systems from treatment-oriented to preventive care in healthcare 3.0 era. It enables customized precision-based medicine that current healthcare systems cannot facilitate, and discovers more cost-effective treatment. Currently, healthcare big data is in the reality of medical institution, public health, medical academia, pharmaceutical sector as well as insurance agency. With this motivation, the medical college of Soonchunhyang university has performed a 'healthcare data science initiative(HDSI)' since 2014. Most of domestic HDSI programs focus on short-term contents such as mentoring and sharing cases for data science. Therefore, it is difficult to provide education tailored to the level of skills and job competency required at the practical site. Soonchunhyang HDSI implemented specialized strategies for improving resilience and response to changes in the IT education of current healthcare with the emphasis on the need for systematic activation of the practical HDSI. The HDSI has been performed as a part of on industry-academic link program in CK-1. Through quantitative and qualitative analysis, this paper discussed the HDSI process, performance, achievement, and implications.
The healthcare industry is a digital healthcare that combines technology based on the 4th Industrial Revolution, dealing with information on individual health and medical care, and is a fusion of health care services and medical science and technology. It is questionable whether digital healthcare according to the paradigm change can be discussed by the concept of medical practice under the existing Medical Act. There is no clear definition of the concept of medical practice in the Medical Service Act, but the concept is established through precedents. In addition, under the Medical Service Act, the subject of medical practice is limited to medical personnel. However, digital healthcare sometimes diagnoses and treats diseases using digital technology by medical personnel. On the other hand, what is possible by non-medical personnel is digital healthcare. This is because digital healthcare is understood as a concept that includes health care such as exercise, eating habits, and weight control. For this reason, if the concept of medical practice under the "Medical Act" on digital healthcare is included, it is subject to criminal punishment for "unlicensed medical practice" prescribed in Article 27 of the "Medical Act". In the health and medical industry, digital transformation and convergence with information and communication technology are rapidly progressing. As a result, there is a need to newly define it as 'digitalized medical practice' or 'information and communication technology (ICT)-based medical practice' separately from existing medical practices. The concept of medical practice has variability, not a fixed and invariable concept. However, in response to this demand, it is not an infinite expansion of the concept of medical practice, but a request to reset its scope. Therefore, the concept of medical practice should be legislated by reflecting the demand of consumers for the medical service system.

Rapid Aging Society demands the transformation of medical paradigm of diagnosis and treatment towards prevention and management. This paper explores the norm and development of digital health care, focusing on Busan Metropolitan City. Digital health care which combines new ICT technology and medical technology is predictive, preventive, personalized and participatory; and suggests alternative to solve the problem of demographic changes and increasing social cost of medical welfare. Community Health Center in Busan is unique one based in the minimum community of collecting data from self-leading health management. Digital transformation using basic health data and social information can build preventive care system in the community. Easy access leads community center to test bed of developing new technology, as a living lab. In order to use the newly developed goods and service effectively, user-participatory test is nicessary. Finally community nurse and activists can specify health-welfare converged service through digital transformation empowerment training.
The purpose of this study is to investigate various opinions on changes and revisions in the Medical Technician Act, to compare the curriculum of radiological technologist and physicians or dentists, and to compare the definitions and scope of work of radiological technologist in Korea and abroad. From the information, The goal is to review whether the phrase 'guidance of a doctor or dentist' specified in the definition of the 'Act on Medical Technicians, etc.' is realistically appropriate. radiological technologist receive specialized college education on radioligical science & medical imaging. The training hours for radiolgical science student are greater than medical students. In addition, radiological technologists are continuously developing their competencies for new knowledge and skills through continuing education in clinical fields. In particular, radiological technologist are making steady research efforts to reduce patient exposure and improve medical image quality. As a result of this investigation, it is considered that the term "guided by a doctor or dentist" as currently defined in the 'Act on Medical Technicians, etc.' may need to be revised in consideration of the professionalism of the radiological technologist.
This study was aimed to understand the recognition of care robots which would enhance the medical quality of life under the 4th industrial revolution in the university students majoring in health and engineering who would lead the development of the future medical industry and to find out the differences of their digital literacy and empathic ability. This was a descriptive correlation study to analyze the recognition of university students on care robots, their digital literacy and empathic ability. Both students majoring in health and engineering recognized the needs of care robots, while their education experiences were not sufficient. Moreover, statistically fewer university students majoring in health heard about care robots than those in engineering, and their need of taking classes was lower, too. No statistically significant differences were found in digital literacy and empathic ability between the two majors, while significant difference was found in the relationship bundling capability out of behavioral empathy, a sub-domain of empathic ability. The study results are anticipated to suggest the future educational direction in the medical field according to the 4th industrial revolution and to be the fundamental data for understanding and preparation of the students depending on the majors.
This study was designed to test the convergence effectiveness of virtual reality programs for patients with stroke by using meta-analysis. Based on the PICOS criteria, we searched domestic literature and selected the final 9 studies in relation to 'stroke' and 'virtual reality programs'. Evaluation of the risk of bias in individual studies was conducted using evaluation tools according to the design of each study. The effect size of the meta-analysis was calculated using CMA program. The mediating effect analysis was conducted by sub-group analysis and meta-regression analysis. The overall effect size of the virtual reality program on the activities of daily living ability was Hedges's g=0.302(95% CI: 0.064~0.540), Therefore, virtual reality programs can increase the activities of daily living in stroke patients and have a positive impact on the medical industry that the convergence of virtual reality industry and healthcare industry.
The purpose of this study was to reveal association between health behavior practice and jab characteristics on periodontal disease of employees. The analysis was conducted on 1,737 of above the age of nineteen in employees by using raw data from the 2015 National Health and Nutrition Survey. The data were analyzed using SPSS for windows version 24.0. Smoking, BMI and aerobic exercise in health behavior practice had statistically significant difference. Occupation, work status and regular work in jab characteristics had statistically significant difference. In conclusion, business owners need active management to health behavior practice their employees and the government needs to resolve the polarization of medical services through the development of oral health care policies for low-income people.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between attitude toward patient safety, empowerment and awareness, performance of standard precaution for healthcare associated infection control and prevention and to identify the influencing factors of the performance in nursing students. The participants were 185 nursing students on one college in J city, Data collection was conducted from september 10 to 21, 2018. The collected data were analyzed with independent t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient and stepwise multiple regression using SPSS Statistics 22.0 program. As a result of multiple regression analysis showed that the factors influencing the performance of the standard precaution were awareness, empowerment, participation in the patient safety campaign and the performance was explained by 51.0%. Therefore, In order to improve the performance of standard precaution for nursing students, various convergent education programs should be applied to raise awareness and improve empowerment, and it is necessary to seek ways for nursing students to participate actively in patient safety campaigns.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships among emotional dissonance, depression and anxiety, and to examine the moderating effects of emotional intelligence on the relationships between emotional dissonance and both depression and anxiety in care service workers. For this study, a sample of 142 care service workers completed the questionnaires: Emotional Dissonance Scale, Patient Health Questionnaire-9, and Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7. This data was analyzed by SPSS 25.0 program. The results of the analysis showed that emotional dissonance and others' emotion appraisal had a significant effect on depression and anxiety. The results also verified the moderating effects of others' emotion appraisal on the relationship between emotional dissonance and depression. Finally, on the basis of the results, we proposed and discussed interventions on emotional labor and mental health issues of care service workers.
