Evaluation of YasufukuYs Constitutive Model for Compacted Weathered Granite Soil (다짐풍화화강토에 대한 Yasufuku 구성모델의 평가)

  • This study evaluated Yasufuku's constitutive model in terms of its capability to accurately consider the observed behavior of Iksan compacted weathered granite soil for various stress-paths. The strains calculated from the model are in reasonable agreement with those measured, but some discrepancies occur. The largest differences between measured and calculated strains occur for axial strain of proportional loading with increasing stress. Yasufuku's constitutive model can consider the observed behavior of Iksan compacted weathered granite soil with accuracy for conventional triaxial compression and for p'-constant loading with increasing stress ratio.

Mechanical Characteristics of Ultra High Strength Concrete with Steel Fiber Under Uniaxial Compressive Stress (강섬유로 보강된 초고강도 콘크리트의 일축압축 상태에서의 기계적 특성)

  • Design of fiber reinforced ultra-high strength concrete members should be verified with analytical or experimental methods for safety. Members with compressive strength larger than limitation of current design code usually be designed with analytical verification using stress-strain relation of concrete and reinforcements. For this purpose, mechanical characteristics of steel fiber reinforced ultra-high strength concrete were defined under uniaxial compression. Mix proportions of test specimens were based on reactive powder concrete and straight steel fibers were mixed with different volume fraction. Compressive strength of matrix were distributed from 80 MPa to 200 MPa. Effect of fiber inclusion were investigated : increase of compressive strength of concrete, elastic modulus and strain corresponding to peak stress. For the wide range application of investigation, previously tested test specimens were collected and used for investigation and estimation equation. Based on the investigation and evaluation of previous research results and estimation equation of mechanical characteristics of concrete, regression equations were suggested.

  • An algorithm is proposed for estimating dynamic displacements of a bridge by using FBG sensors and by superposing some measurable low modes. Modal displacements are obtained from the beam theory and the generalized coordinates are deduced from the strains measured by FBG sensors. By considering flexural and torsional modes occurred in bridges only as flexural modes of a simply supported beam by separating a bridge into multiple girders or parts, the proposed algorithm can be applied to various types of bridges. Guidelines are provided theoretically for determining the number of modes and the number of strain gages to be used. The proposed algorithm has been examined through simulation studies on various types of bridges, laboratory experiments on a model bridge, and field tests on a simple span PC Box girder bridge. Through the simulation study, the effects of the error in the vibration modes and measurement noise on estimating the dynamic displacements are analyzed.

  • Structral crack of RC structure generally occurs when the tension stress by applied load is larger than tension resistance of concrete, and it means deterioration of structure and the decrease of load resistance. Because structural crack of structure can occur critical damage to structure occasionally, the research on crack detection algorithm of RC structure is needed for assurance of structural safety and effective maintenance of structure. In this paper, we executed the laboratory test on measuring strain of RC beam's tension and compression zone, using strain gauge which is widely used on strain measurement of civil structure. By using measured strain, we analyzed strain change, elastic modulus change, and neutral axis change to detect crack of RC beam. As a result, we proposed the simple and effective crack detection algorithm using trends of neutral axis position change.

Dynamic Deformation Estimation of Structures Using Fiber Optic Strain Sensors (광섬유 변형률 센서를 이용한 구조물의 동적 변형 추정)

  • In this study, structural deformation estimation using displacement-strain relationship is investigated. When displacements of a structure cannot be measured directly, estimation of displacements using strain data can be an alternative solution. Additionally, the deformation of the whole structure as well as the displacement at the point of interest can be estimated. Strain signals are obtained front Fiber Bragg Grating(FBG) sensors that have an excellent multiplexing ability. Some experiments were performed on two beams and a plate to which FBG sensors were attached in the laboratory. Strain signals from FBG sensors along a single strand of optical fiber were obtained through wavelength division multiplexing(WDM) method. The beams and the plate structures were subjected to various loading conditions, and deformed shapes were reconstructed from the displacement-strain transformation relationship. The results show good agreements with those measured directly from laser sensors. Moreover, the whole structural shapes of the beams and the plate were estimated using only some strain sensors.

한국증권시장에서의 증권가격의 불연속성과 매도매수 가격의 차이로 인한 통계추정치의 편의에 관한 연구

  • 본 연구는 주식시장에서의 체결가격을 균형가격으로 가정하여 계산된 수익률에 관한 통계추정치의 편의에 관하여 분석하고 있다. 주식수익률의 통계적모멘트를 추정하는 것은 주식가격의 행태를 분석하는 연구 및 사건연구등에서 많은 학자들에 의하여 수행되어 왔다. 기존의 대부분의 연구들은 시장에서 체결된 가격이 그 시점의 진정한 균형가격이라는 가정하에 수익률을 계산하고 이 수익률 자료로부터 수익률의 평균, 표준편차, 외도(skewness), 침도(kurtosis) 등의 통계적모멘트를 추정하였다. 그러나 체결가격은 시장의 규칙에 의해 일정한 호가단위로만 거래될 뿐 아니라 매도 또는 매수호가에 거래됨으로써 진정한 균형가격과의 괴리가 있을 수 있게 된다. 본 연구는 주식호가단위의 불연속성과 매도매수호가의 차이로 연한 통계추정치의 편의에 관한 모형을 도출하여 편의의 크기와 특징을 분석하고, 이를 수정하는 간편식을 도출하여 그 유효성을 검증하고 있다. Gottlieb and Kalay(1985), Ball(1988), Cho and frees(1988)등은 1/8 달러의 최소호가단위로 인하여 발생하는 기존의 분산추정치의 편의를 계산하고 이를 수정하는 간편식을 제시하였다. French and Roll(1986)은 휴일이 포함된 기간의 수익률 분산과 평일 분산추정치의 비율이 기간과 비례하지 않는 원인중 하나는 매도매수호가차이로 인한 분산추정치의 편의라는 점을 설명한 바 있다. Choi and Shastri(1989)는 Black and Scholes 옵션가격 결정모형 이 주식 분산값의 크기에 따라 일정한 편의를 보이는 주요한 원인은 퍼센티지 매도매수호가차이와 옵션가격이 모두 진정한 분산치의 정의 함수이기 때문이라는 점을 보였다. Harris(1988)와 최종연(1994)는 주가의 불연속성 및 매도매수호가차이를 동시에 고려하여 기존의 분산추정치가 어떠한 편의를 보이는지에 관하여 분석한 바 있다. 본 연구에서는 최종연(1994)의 연구에서 도출된 모형을 연장하여 국내 주식시장과 같이 주가 수준에 따라 최소호가단위가 변화할 때의 변형모형을 도출하였다. 또한 이 모형에 따라 통계추정치의 편의를 수익률의 표준편차를 중심으로 계산하여 그 정도를 미국시장의 경우와 비교하였고, 그 추정치의 수정 방법에 대하여 호가단위가 변화하는 주가금액이 10,000원 주변일 경우를 중심으로 분석하였다.

Study on a Prediction Model of the Tensile Strain Related to the Fatigue Cracking Performance of Asphalt Concrete Pavements Through Design of Experiments and Harmony Search Algorithm (실험계획법 및 하모니 검색 알고리즘을 이용한 아스팔트 포장체의 피로균열 공용성 관련 인장변형률 추정모델 연구)

  • This research describes how to predict a model of the tensile strain related to the fatigue cracking performance of several asphalt concrete structures through design of experiments(e.g., Response Surface Methodology) and harmony search(HS) algorithm. The axisymmetric analysis program of finite element method, which is the KICTPAVE, was used to determine the strain level at the interface layer between asphalt layer and lean concrete layer. Once the training database set of various strain levels was constructed under the several condition of layer stiffnesses and thicknesses in the asphalt concrete structures, the data set was trained through the HS algorithm in order to determine the regression coefficients defined based on a response surface methodology. Furthermore, the testing set, which was not used for the training procedure of HS algorithm, was also constructed in order to evaluate whether the regression coefficients of a prediction model can be appropriately applied for other cases in asphalt concrete structures.

  • It has been considered that factors affecting accuracy of the estimated weight of moving vehicle by BWIM system are vehicle and bridge characteristics, and measurement conditions which is related to the strain curve. In this study, theoretical review and field test were performed to evaluate effect of these factors in BWIM system. From these evaluations, we proposed a way to improve accuracy of the estimated vehicle information in BWIM system. As the results, it was known that girder type and continuity of spans in bridge are not governing factor, but its plane shape gives large influence on accuracy of the estimated vehicle information. In addition, running speed of vehicle has also large effect on the estimated accuracy of axle distance if the distance between second and third axles is short. However, weight sum of the two axles can be estimated reasonably by assuming them as one axle.

  • 다양한 종류의 컴퓨터가 사람, 사물, 환경 속에 내재되어 있고, 이들이 서로 연결되어, 필요한 곳에서 활용할 수 있는 유비쿼터스 환경에서는 홈 네트워크를 통해 이 기종 기기간 다양한 데이터 교환을 요구한다. 더욱이 원활한 영상 데이터의 처리, 전송, 모니터링 기술은 핵심적 요소가 아닐 수 없다. 공간 및 시간적인 해상도, 컬러의 표현 그리고 화질의 측정방법 등 고전적 영상 처리 연구 분야뿐만 아니라 국한된 대역폭을 갖는 홈네트워크의 전송체계에서 전송률 문제에 대한 심도 있는 연구가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 홈네트워크 상황에서 콘텐츠의 중심이 되는 영상 데이터의 전송과 처리 그리고 제어를 위하여 새로운 움직임 추정 알고리즘을 제안한다. 각도, 거리등 다양한 환경에서 전송되어지는 스테레오 카메라의 영상데이터들은 축소, 확대, 이동, 보정 등 전처리 후 제안된 변형계층 모션벡터 추정 알고리즘을 이용하여 압축 처리, 전송된다. 기존 모션벡터 추정 알고리즘의 장점을 계승하고 단점을 보완한 변형계층 알고리즘은 비정형, 소형 매크로 블록을 이용하여 휘도의 편차가 큰 영상의 효율적 움직임 추정에 이용된다. 본 논문에서 제안한 변형계층 알고리즘과 이를 이용해 구현된 영상시스템은 유비쿼터스 환경에서 다양하게 활용될 수 있다.
