Free Vibrations of Horizontally Curved Beams with Variable Cross Section (변다면 수평 곡선보의 자유진동에 관한 연구)

  • 이 논문은 변단면을 고려한 수평 곡선보의 자유진동에 관한 연구이다. 진동시 곡선보 요소에 작용하는 합응력과 관성력의 동적평형방정식을 이용하여 변단면 원호형 수평 곡선보의 자유진동을 지배하는 상미분방정식을 유도하였다. 이 미분방정식을 원형 단면을 갖는 선형변변단면에 적용하여 고유진동수, 진동형 및 합응력을 산출하였다. 수치 해석예에서는 양단고정 및 양단회전 곡선보를 채택하였으며, 수치해석 결과로서 고유진동수와 단면비, 세장비 및 중심각 사이의 관계를 그림에 나타내었다. 또한 실험실 규모의 실험을 통하여 본 연구결과의 타당성을 보였다.

A Comparison between Infrared and Visible Light Curves of Short Period Variables

  • 단주기 변광성들의 적외선 광도곡선이 가시광선 광도 곡선과 어떠한 차이가 있는지 알아보기 위해 주기가 하루 이내로 짧은 다양한 유형의 변광성을 대상으로 보현산 천문대의 1.8m 반사망원경과 적외선검출기(KASINICS)를 이용한 J($1.25{\mu}m$), H($1.64{\mu}m$), K($2.15{\mu}m$)필터 관측을 수행하였다. 관측 대상은 맥동변광성으로 분류되는 BO Lyn외 2개 대상, 격변변광성으로 분류되는 RX And외 3개 대상, 그리고 식변광성으로 분류되는 V1007 Cas외 1개 대상이다. IRAF를 이용한 전처리 및 구경 측광을 실시하여 각 필터별 적외선 광도곡선을 얻었다. 이를 통해 현재 각 분류 대상별 주기분석과 여러 해 동안 관측한 자료를 이용하여 각 대상들의 장주기에서의 변광 요인 유무도 확인하여 가시광선 광도곡선과의 비교 분석 연구를 수행하고 있다. 격변변광성의 경우 가시광 광도 곡선이 주로 강착원반의 더 뜨거운 내부고리와 대기에 의한 것인 반면 적외선 광도 곡선은 동반성과 차가운 강착원반에 의한 것이라 여겨지며, 맥동변광성과 식변광성의 경우도 가시광선과 적외선이 서로 다른 깊이를 보게 될 것이므로 파장대별 최대 밝기 위치와 광도 윤곽에서의 차이가 기대된다.

  • The main purpose of this paper is to present an analytical method for free vibration of stepped horizontally curved members on two-parameter elastic foundation. The ordinary differential equations governing the free vibration of such beams are derived as non-dimensional forms including the effects of rotatory inertia and shear deformation. The governing equations are solved numerically for the circular, parabolic, sinusoidal and elliptic curved beams with hinged-hinged, hinged-clamped and clamped-clamped end constraints. As the numerical results, the lowest four natural frequency parameters are presented as the functions of various non-dimensional system parameters. Also the typical mode shapes are presented.

  • A method is presented for the analysis of curved segmentally erected prestressed concrete box girder bridges including time-dependent effects due to load history, temperature history, creep, shrinkage, aging of concrete and relaxation of prestressing steel. The segments can be either precast or cast-in-place. Thin-walled beam theory and finite element method are combined to develop a curved nonprismatic thin-walled box beam element. The element consists of three nodes and each node has eight displacement degrees of freedom, including transverse distortion and longitudinal warping of the cross section.

  • The state-of-art of curved box girder bridge with cross section design has advanced in various area. In these days, several analytical techniques for behaviors of curved box girder bridges cross section are available to engineers. The transfer matrix method is extensively used for the structural analysis because its merit in the theoretical background and applicability. The technique is attractive for implementation on a numerical solution by means of a computer program coded in Fortran language with a few elements. To demonstrate this fact, it gives good results which compare well with finite element method. Therefore, this paper proposed the static analysis method of curved box bridge with cross section by transfer matrix method based on pure-torsional theory and the optimal span ratio/variable cross section ratio of 3 span continuous curved box girder bridge.

  • 이 논문은 일정체적을 갖는 양단고정 변단면 기둥의 좌굴하중 및 후좌굴 거동에 관한 연구이다. 기둥의 변단면으로는 직선형, 포물선형, 정현의 선형을 갖는세 가지 변단면을 채택하였다. Bernoulli-Euler 보 이론을 이용하여 압축하중이 작용하여 좌굴된 기둥이 정확탄성곡선을 지배하는 미분방정식을 유도하였다. 유도된 미분방정식을 Runge-Kutta 법과 REgula-Falsi법을 이용하여 수치해석하였다. 수치해석의 결과로 좌굴하중, 좌굴기둥의 평형경로 및 정확탄성곡선을 산출하였다. 또한 좌굴하중-단면비 곡선으로부터 최강기둥의 좌굴하중과 단면비를 산출하였다.

CLASSIFICATION OF OGLE VARIABLES IN GALACTIC BULGE (은하벌지에서 발견된 OGLE 변광성의 분류)

  • The miscellaneous variables observed by OGLE Project of searching for dark matter in our Galaxy have been analyzed to find their characteristics. We investigated evolutionary status, shape of light curve, relationship between orbital period and amplitude of light variation for the miscellaneous variables. The miscellaneous variables except ellipsoidal variables are subgiants or giants. The shapes of the light curves are similar to those of nearby RS CVn type stars. The amplitudes of the light variations decrease rapidly as increasing their orbital periods for the variables whose periods are shorter than 30 days, while the amplitudes decrease slowly for the variables whose periods are longer that 30 days. Thus the OGLE miscellaneous variables are classified as the RS CVn type stars.

  • In order to determine the maximum shear force, the maximum bending moment, the maximum pure torsion. the maximum warping torsion, and the maximum bimoment for the curved girder grid bridges, it is important to find the location of live load applied to the curved girder grid bridges, so that the influence line can be estimated. The fundamental differential equation concerning the behaviour with warping effects for the curved girder is developed by Vlasov. In this paper, the influence line of shear force, bending moment, pure torsion, warping torsion, and bimoment due to unit vertical load and unit torsional moment for curved I-girder grid bridges with variable and constant cross section are obtained by using the finite difference method and compared with respectively.

An Analysis of Near-infrared Light Curves of δ Scuti Variable BO Lyn (δ Scuti형 변광성 BO Lyn의 근적외선 광도곡선 분석)

  • In order to investigate the light curve difference in visual and infrared wavelength of ${\delta}$ Scuti variable Bo Lyn, observations were performed using BOAO 1.8m reflecting telescope and an infrared detector, KASINICS, with J, H, and Ks filters. Infrared light curves of total 7 nights were obtained between March and April in 2011, and those were compared to the V-filter light curve to examine the differences in period, time of maximum light, amplitude, and shape. From the periodic analysis of infrared light curve, a single frequency of $f_1=10.712cycle/day$, $P=0.09335{\pm}0.00002days$ was obtained, and there was no difference in the period along different wavelengths. In the infrared light curve, a frequency of $2f_1$ was detected. This frequency well explains the asymmetric shape of light curve, one of the characteristics of high-amplitude ${\delta}$ Scuti variables. We compared the locations of the measured infrared maxima and the predicted maxima of V-filter, finding that the times of maxima were delayed about 0.3 phase at infrared wavelengths. Amplitude ratios were adopted to be ${\Delta}J/{\Delta}V=0.328$, ${\Delta}H/{\Delta}V=0.216$, and ${\Delta}Ks/{\Delta}V=0.211$, with the range of variation being smaller at longer wavelengths. It seems that the differences in the times of maxima and amplitude occurred because the changes in brightness of a pulsating variable star are mainly caused by the change in temperature.

  • 본 논문에서는 단순지지된 일정체적의 정다각형 단면을 갖는 변단면 기둥의 정확탄성곡선(elastica)을 산출할 수 있는 수치해석법을 개발하였다. 정확탄성곡선의 미분방정식은 Bernoulli-Euler 보 이론으로 유도하였고, 미분방정식의 수치적분은 Runge-Kutta method를 이용하였다. 미분방정식의 고유치인 지점의 단면회전각은 Regula-Falsi method를 이용하여 계산하였다. 변단면의 단면 깊이의 변화식으로는 직선식, 포물선식 및 정현식의 3가지 함수식을 채택하였다. 또한 유도된 미분방정식을 이용하여 대상기둥의 좌굴하중을 산출하고 이로부터 최강기둥의 단면비와 좌굴하중을 결정하였다.
