Application of the Reciprocal Work Contour Integral Method to the Analysis of Eigenvector Cofficients for V-notched Cracks in Anistropic Dissimilar Materials (이방성 이종재 V-노치 균열의 고유벡터계수 해석에 대한 상반일 경로 적분법의 적용)

  • This paper examines that it is possible to apply RWCIM for determining eigenvector coefficients associated with eigenvalues for V-notched cracks in anisotropic dissimilar materials using the complex stress function. To verify the RWCIM algorithm, two tests will be shown. First, it is performed to ascertain whether predicted coefficients associated with eigenvectors are obtained exactly. Second, it makes an examination of the state of stresses for FEM and RWCIM according to a number of eigenvectors at a location far away from the v-notched crack tip.

  • 본 논문에서는 전기자동차의 효율적인 구동을 위해 3상 전압 형인버터를 기존 삼각파비교방식의 PWAM 기법을 탈피하고 공간벡터 비교방식의 새로운 PWAM 기법을 제안한다. 공간벡터 변조방식의 장점인 자유도가 높은 특징을 살려 3상 전압형 인버터의 스위칭절환이 최소로 이루어지도록 벡터인가시간과 스위칭 룩업테이블을 설계하고, 시뮬레이션 및 실험 해석을 통해 유효성을 검증한다.

  • Typical Tonpilz type underwater acoustic transducers making use of piezoelectric ceramics detect the magnitude of an acoustic pressure, a scalar quantity, and convert this pressure into a proportional output voltage. The scalar sensor has no directional sensitivity. In this paper, we have proposed a new vector sensor based on the Tonpilz transducer structure, which is sensitive to both the magnitude and the azimuthal direction of an acoustic wave. Validity of this new design has been confirmed with analytic equations and finite element analyses.

  • The existing event recognition is accomplished with the limited systematic foundation, and thus much longer learning time is needed for emergency scenario interpretation due to large scale of probability data. In this paper, we propose a method for nile-based event recognition of an independent object(human) which extract a feature vectors from the object and analyze the behavior pattern of each object and interpretation of emergency scenarios using a probability and object's events. The event rule of an independent object is composed of the Primary-event, Move-event, Interaction-event, and 'FALL DOWN' event and is defined through feature vectors of the object and the segmented motion orientated vector (SMOV) in which the dynamic Bayesian network is applied. The emergency scenario is analyzed using current state of an event and its post probability. In this paper, we define diversified events compared to that of pre-existing method and thus make it easy to expand by increasing independence of each events.   • The EMFG (Extended Mark Flow Graph) is known as a graph model for representing the discrete event systems. In this paper, we introduce input/output matrixes representing the marking variance of input/output boxes when each transition fires in an EMFG, and compute an incidence matrix. We represent firing conditions of transitions to a firing condition matrix for computing a firable vector, and introduce the firing completion vector to decide completion of each transition’s firing. By using them, we improve an analysis algorithm of the EMFG’s operation to be represented all the process of EMFG’s operation mathematically. We apply the proposed algorithm to the system repeating the forward and reverse revolution, and then confirm that it is valid. The proposed algorithm is useful to analysis the variant discrete event systems.

제내지 침수해석을 위한 병렬연산기법의 비교

  • 본 연구에서는 대규모 유역에서 발생하는 침수 현상을 모의하기 위한 강력하고 정확하며 연산효율이 뛰어난 수치해석 모형을 개발하는 데 있다. 개발된 모형은 확산파 모형을 기본으로 하였고 다수의 코어를 동시적으로 해석하는 병렬연산 기법을 부가하였다. 홍수로 인한 대규모 유역에서의 침수해석은 오랜 시간의 연산 비용을 필요로 한다. 특히 수치화된 지형정보의 이용이나 고정밀 사진 측량 등의 방법을 이용하여 정밀하고 넓은 유역의 디지털 지형자료를 이용한 2 차원 침수해석은 연산 연산의 문제를 더욱 어렵게 할 수 있다. 그러므로 본 연구에서는 제내지나 하류 유역에 발생하는 홍수로 발생된 빠른 침수모의를 위해 병렬화된 침수 해석 모형을 이용하여 병렬 해석 모형의 적용성을 검토하고자 하였다. 연구를 위해 MPI 및 OpenMP 기법을 이용하여 2 차원 침수해석 프로그램의 원시코드를 개선하고 실제 제내지 및 실제 댐 하류유역에 적용하였다. 개발된 모형은 실제 제내지에 적용한 결과를 MPI, OpenMP 병렬해석 기법과 기존의 순차적 모형의 결과를 비교하였다. 모형들의 결과를 제내지의 침수양상, 침수 속도벡터의 방향 및 크기 등의 계산 결과 순차적 모형, MPI 및 OpenMP 모형과의 비교하여 연산 시간은 병렬 해석 모형이 우월함을 보였다.

  • The modified arc-length algorithms for the automatic incremental solution of nonlinear finite element equations proposed by Riks are presented, which comprise the cylindrical arc-length method and the normal arc-length method. These methods are developed to trace the nonlinear path of large displacement problems such as a pre and post bucking/collapse response of general structures. These methods are applied to analyse the nonlinear behavior of arch and shell problems in parallel with the standard and modified Newton-Raphson method.

  • In the numerical analysis of En (eddy current testing) using 3-dimensional FEM (finite element method), MVP (magnetic vector potential) and electric scalar potential are used as variables in conductor region. Three dimensional modeling makes number of unknowns increase, and the degree of freedom of variables also makes number of unknowns increase. Because of this reason, modified UP is used to reduce the number of unknowns. Gauge condition is enforced artificially on existing FEM formulations to insure the uniqueness of MVP. So in this paper the effects of these FEM formulation procedures on ECT are investigated and the appropriate FEM formulation is suggested for accurate ECT simulation.

  • Power distribution systems onboard vessels are typically configured without any live line connected to hulls for earthing purpose, where the line to hull voltages are affected and deformed depending on the impedances consisting of insulation resistances and distributed capacitances between power lines and hull. An insulation fault at power lines causes the line to hull voltages to increase to a higher level which brings more possibilities to electric shock and deterioration of insulation material. This study focuses on how to configure a module which enables to continuously monitor the voltages between power line and hull based on the vector diagram by analyzing the neutral point of 3 phase voltages and the algorithm for plotting method on the PC monitors.

  • Theoretical radiation patterns for the corrugated horn antenna are analyzed by vector integral method and quasi-optics. The formular of the radiated fields for the corrugated horn antenna can be obtained by the potentials derived the equivalent current sources from hybrid fields at horn aperture and also calculated by the expanded mode set of Gaussian - Laguerre based on the quasi - optics. From comparison of the radiation patterns between two methods for a corrugated horn antenna designed on 85-115 GHz frequency range, the results are coincided well at center frequency but have some errors at each side frequencies 85 and 115 GHz.
