Along with the development of computer graphics, real-time rendering, motion capture, and artificial intelligence technology, virtual being that enables two-way communication has emerged in the content industry. Although the commercialization of technologies and platforms is creating a two-way communication virtual being, there is a lack of analysis of what characteristics this virtual being has and how it can be used in each field. Therefore, through technical background survey and case study for the production of virtual being, the two-way communication virtual being is analyzed on the characteristics necessary for emotional exchange. The characteristics needed for emotional exchange were divided into interaction, individuality, and autonomy, and this characteristic is classified as the focus and how two-way communication virtual being will be used in the content field. This study is expected to provide significant implications for the research of content production and utilization using virtual being as a basic study of virtual being, which analyzes the technical background and characteristics for two-way communication required for virtual being production.

In this paper, we investigated baseline estimation methods for remove background noise using Raman spectra from acute alcohol liver injury and acute ethanol-induced chronic liver fibrosis. Far the baseline estimation, we applied first derivative, linear programming and rolling ball method. Optimal input parameter of each method were determined by the training rate of MAP (maximum a posteriori probability) classifier. According to the experimental results, classification results baseline estimation with the rolling ball algorithm gave about 89.4%, which is very promising results for classification of acute alcohol liver injury and acute ethanol-induced chronic liver fibrosis. From these results, to determined the appropriate methods and parameters of baseline estimation impact on classification performance was confirmed.

Recently, dissection puzzles such as pentominoes have been used in mathematics education. But they are not actively applicable as a tool of problem solving or introducing mathematical concepts since researches about the historical background and developments of mathematical applications of such puzzles have not been effectively accomplished. In this article, in order to use pentominoes in mathematical teaming effectively, we first investigate geometric problems related to dissection puzzles and the historic background of development of pentominoes. And then we collect and classify data related to pentomino activities which can be applicable to mathematics classes based on the 7th elementary school national curriculum. Finally, we suggest several basic materials and directions to develop more systematic learning materials about pentominoes.

This study investigated to understand how the East and the West seek information in terms of their cultural differences. It is designed to explain their cultural differences how they seek particular information when they need it in order to solve a problem in their hands. Survey and simple interview were conducted to compare their differences by sex and ages as well as cultural backgrounds. A total of 72 visitors from 9 countries were randomly selected and participated in this study. The study result shows there are different information seeking behaviors according to their cultural differences. Collected data were analyzed using PASW 18.0.

Image is the one of the media that satisfy the wants of people. A motion graphics is a new media stimulating not only a visual but also a hearing of people, and has gained attention by an important emotion communication way that communicates the sound and the visual messages to the audience. In this paper we study on what feelings the motion graphics used on the stage background communicates to the audience, and what its effects and efficiencies are. Because it is not generalized to apply the motion graphics to the stage background, the range of the study can't help being limited. However, recently during two or three years, the use of the motion graphics is increasing more and more, and we expect that its utilization is more expanded.

This paper proposes a multiple moving objects tracking system which is adaptable itself to circumstances. Snake model is sensitive to the start position value because it does not accurately express contours of objects in complex image. It can be improved as the proposed system gets background images by using difference images, segments objects using neighborhood pixels and assesses the position feature values acquired on the start position value to deformable Snake model. And also the system can simplify complex background images and reduce search regions by the constituent points of a Snake laid in Positions of object. It is showed that the proposed system can be appBied to multiple moving vehicle racking systems by the experimental results of 30fps AVI file.

Serious games are developed under particular purpose. This study provides a theoretical background on serious games for social change as a basis for future experiments and practice. By examining the elements of games and related theories, narrative immersion and critical participation are identified as the two main experiences of games, which are realized through role play. Based on educational theories for behavioral and cognitive change, this study suggests to use role play as a strategy on serious games for social change. Analyzing the cases of serious games in Korea, this study concludes that participants are able to experience the context of the situation through role play.

본 연구는 급수전('tap'과 'faucet'은 호환사용)의 종류에 따른 사용자의 조작방향에 대해 우리나라와 다른 나라의 문화적인 차이를 비교한 연구결과이다. 이를 위하여 우리들이 가정과 공공시설의 화장실이나 욕실 등에서 많이 사용하고 있는 냉 온수 일체형 레버형 손잡이 급수전과 냉 온수 분리형 손잡이 급수전을 선정하여 이의 열림 방향에 대한 스테레오타입을 파악하였다. 또한 본 실험결과와 다른 문화권의 자료를 비교하여 이의 차이를 규명함으로써 서로 다른 사용자들이 공감하는 설계방향에 대해 언급하였다. 국외 자료는 연구문헌을 참조하였으며 국내자료는 직접 10대에서 60대 이상까지 6개 연령계층의 남 여 50명씩 총 600명을 할당표본추출 방식으로 선정하여 실험을 통하여 수집하였다. 조사 결과는 각 항목별로 통합 자료, 성별, 연령별, 주손에 따라 빈도분석을 실시하였으며 카이제곱검정을 통해 성별, 연령계층별, 주손(hand dominance)별로 스테레오타입의 기대특성(expectation characteristics)에 대해 문헌을 통해 조사된 연구결과와 상호비교 분석하였다. 분석결과 우리나라 사람은 비교 분석된 다른 나라 사람과 같이 스테레오타입에 대한 통상적인(그러나 동일하진 않음) 문화적인 배경을 공유하고 있음을 알 수 있다. 본 연구결과는 급수전 손잡이 설계에 있어서 서로 다른 문화적인 배경에 따른 보편적 기대와 일치된 설계지침으로서 사용상의 편리성과 안전성을 향상시키는데 유용하게 이용될 수 있을 것이다.

In this paper, we will examine the theoretical background and educational methodological basis of Novel engineering class cases published to date. For this purpose, we selected and investigated 30 Novel engineering-related academic papers and dissertations published from 2016 to 2023. As a result, the theoretical background is Seymour Papert's constructionism and Vygotsky's socio-cultural constructivism, and the educational methodological basis is creative problem-solving learning, problem-based learning, interdisciplinary convergence class, action learning, associating reading and writing education, possibility with integrated curriculum. We hope that this study will solidify the theoretical value of the Nobel Engineering convergence teaching model and serve as an alternative for teachers preparing for future education.
