This report describes 48 studies related to the use of Bulbus Fritillariae main blended prescriptions from Donguibogam. The following conclusions were reached through investigations on the prescriptions that use Bulbus Fritillariae as a key ingredient. All kinds of infection in a cough and the malignant tumor recorded the largest number of clinical frequency of the prescriptions in therapeutic use when Bulbus Fritillariae was taken as a principle medicine. The Prescriptions are compounded with Bulbus Fritillariae as a principle medicine can aplly to respiratory disease, eye disease, nose and ear disease, throat disease, a boil. Various pathogenic factors such as consumptive disease, phlegm, phlegm-fire, invasion by wind, affective by cold, fire, dyspepsia-fire are put to practical use. The dosage of Bulbus Fritillariae is 5 bun (about 1.88g) to 1 lyang(about 37.5g), however 1 jeon(about 3.75g) has been taken the most for clinical application. With examination the formulae of presciptions containing Bulbus Fritillariae, I found the basic prescriptions as well as the medicines are in conjunction with Bulbus Fritillariae and the theoretic grounds of formula in combining Bulbus Fritillariae as a group of medicine for presciption through this reseach.

The purpose of this study was to examine how exterior-relieving herbs are blended by each prescription with emphasis on Internal disease range of Donguibogam by limiting Wind herbs in exterior-relieving herbs to apply exterior-relieving herbs to internal diseases. Prescriptions mixed with exterior-relieving herbs is a prescription adding Bojungikgitang, Yijintang, Yimyosan, Yukilsan and Gilgyeongjigaktang. The mixed exterior-relieving herbs were diversely operated according to each prescription or medicines. However, the mixed exterior relieving herbs were mixed for rising yang & tonifying qi(升陽益氣) for the most part. The exterior-relieving herbs mixed with prescriptions had the total 15 kinds, Bupleuri Radix, Cimicifugae Rhizoma among them were mixed with prescriptions for the most part. In addition, two-kind mixed exterior-relieving herbs were utilized in order of Bupleuri Radix Cimicifuga Rhizoma and Bupleuri Radix Cimicifugae Rhizoma Notopterygii Rhizoma Ledebouriellae Radix. Taken together, Wind herbs is applied several purpose, so that it can contribute to treatment and prevention of internal diseases in present-day.

This report describes 86 prescriptions related to the use of Herba Schizonepetae main blended from Dongeuibogam. The following conclusions were drawn through investigations on the prescriptions that use Herba Schizonepetae as a key component. Prescriptions that Herba Schizonepetae was taken as a monarch drug are utilized for22 therapeutic purposes, for example, eye disease, abscess disease, head and tooth, and woman disease. In particular, 16.3% of prescriptions appear in the chapter of eye. Prescriptions that utilize Herba Schizonepetae as the main component are used in the treatment of eye, abscess and woman disease, head disease, tooth disease and they are also used for treating 56 different types of disease. Herba Schizonepetae is used in pathogenic factors such as wind and used in pathology related to the liver and stomach system. The dosage of Herba Schizonepetae is 1pun 3li(about 0.49g) to 4don(about 14g), however 5pun 3li(about 1.99g)~1don(about 3.75g) has been taken the most for clinical application. Bangpungtang and Saenglyosamultang are the most useful base prescriptions which use the Herba Schizonepetae as the main ingredient.

This report describes 54 prescriptions related to the use of Talcum mainly blended prescriptions in Dongeuibogam. The following conclusion were reached through investigations on the prescriptions that use Talcum as a key ingredient. Prescriptions that Talcum was taken as a monarch drug are utilized for 22 therapeutic purposes. In particular, 35.2% of prescriptions appear in the chapter of urine, 7.4% of those appear in the chapter of heat. Prescriptions that utilize Talcum as the main ingredient are used in the treatment of uric disease, gonorrhea, heat disease, febrile disease, and they are also used for treating 16 different types of diseases. Talcum is used in pathogenic factors such as heat, wind with heat, and used in pathology related to the fever of small intestine and bladder. The dosage of Talcum is 3jeon(about 11.25g) to 2.5pun(about 0.94g), however 1jeon(about 3.75g) has been taken the most for clinical application. Ikwonsan is the most useful base prescription which use the Talcum as the main ingredient.

This report describes the studies as follows through the research into the data of Cimicifuga heraclefolia Komarov blended prescriptions from Donguibogam. Cimicifuga heracleifola Komarov blended prescriptions are utilized for 39 therapeutic ranges. such as in dentistry, onclology, and 16 therapeutic ranges occupy over 84% totally, from dentistry to nasal disease. Cimicifuga heracleifola Komarov blended prescriptions use in the symptpms resulting from dentistry, intestine, internal disease, and they are used 22 disease also. The main pathologies of Cimicifuga heracleifola Komarov blended prescriptions found weakness in the digestive system, heat of stomach, wind of stomach in the splanchnology, and pathologies of wind-heat, wind-moisture, cold, excluding they are using for energy-blood, weakness, internal disease. Objectives : This report describes 48 prescriptions related to the use of Herba Menthae main blended from Dongeuibogam. The following conclusions were drawn through investigations on the prescriptions that use Herba Menthae as a key component. Prescriptions that Herba Menthae was taken as a monarch drug are utilized for 15 therapeutic purposes, for example, wind stroke, throat disease, nose disease, head disease and tooth disease. In particular, 12.5% of prescriptions appear in the chapter of each wind stroke, throat disease, nose disease. Methods : Prescriptions that utilize Herba Menthae as the main ingredient are used in the treatment of urticaria, hemoptysis-hematemesis, loss of consciousness due to wind stroke and they are also used for treating 41 different types of disease. Herba Menthae is used for pathogenic factors such as wind and heat. Results : The dosage of Herba Menthae is 0.15pun(about 0.06g) to 4don(about 14g), however 5pun(about 1.88g) has been taken the most for clinical application. Conclusions : Gamgiltang, Piryongbanggamgiltang and Hoichunyanggyeoksan are the most useful base prescriptions which use the Herba Menthae as the main ingredient.

This report describes 57 prescriptions including Paeoniae Radix and Glycyrrhizae Radix in Dongeuibogam. Paeoniae Radix and Glycyrrhizae Radix have been used separately or concurrently in Oriental Medicine for a long time as a treatment for various disease. The following conclusions are reached through investigations on the applications of prescriptions including Paeoniae Radix and Glycyrrhizae Radix in Dongeuibogam. 1. 7 times(12.3%) prescriptions are recorded in women chapter, 6 times(10.5%) in cold chapter, 5 times(8.8%) in stool chapter and fatigue chapter each, 4 times(7.0%) in psychiatry chapter, which are arranged in order of frequency. 2. Anxiety, Yin-Yang deficiency, stroke, treating blood, cataract, fever floating due to Yin deficiency, weak and fatigue, pregnancy, abortion, women accessary disease, cold-feeling heart pain, stiffness, etc, among 51 symptoms in prescriptions including Paeoniae Radix and Glycyrrhizae Radix. 3. The dosage of Paeoniae Radix and Glycyrrhizae Radix are from 5 pun:2.5 pun to 2 nyang:1 nyang. 1 jeon:5 pun is recored 39 times(68.4%), 2 jeon:1 jeon and 1 nyang:5 jeon is 6 times(3.21%), 2 nyang:1 nyang is 2 times(1.8%) used among 57 prescriptions including Paeoniae Radix and Glycyrrhizae Radix. 4. 57 prescriptions including Paeoniae Radix and Glycyrrhizae Radix are mostly composed of Samooltang and Sagoonjatang, Gyejitang, Gamgiltang, Bowontang, Goongguitang, Jeongwoneum, Bojoongikgitang, Jigoongsan, Ijintang, Pyeongwuisan, Oryungsan, etc, according to the usage.

Objectives : The aim of this study is to find the therapeutic meaning of Rhizoma Cyperi in herbal medication. Methodes : In this study, we investigate 85 prescriptions related to the use of Rhizoma Cyperi main blended from Dongeuibogam. we research about field of therapy, symtoms of a disease, the chief virtue of a medicine, the cause of a disease, the pathology of a disease, dosage, contents of composition. Results : The following conclusions were reached through investigations on the prescriptions that use Rhizoma Cyperi as the main ingredient. Prescriptions that Rhizoma Cyperi was taken as a monarch drug are utilized for 24 therapeutic purpose, for example, woman disease, uterine disease, vitality and abdominal mass. In particular, 16.4% of prescriptions appear in the chapter of woman, and 15.2% of those appear in the chapter of uterus. Prescriptions that utilize Rhizoma Cyperi as the main ingredient are used in the treatment of menstrual disorder, pain due to disorder of Gi, infertility, irregular menstruation and abdominal mass. Rhizoma Cyperi is used in pathogenic factors such as seven modes of emotions and used in pathology related to the stagnation of blood system. The dosage of Rhizoma Cyperi is 6li(about 0.23g) to 6don(about 22.5g), however 1don(about 3.75g) has been taken the most for clinical application. Gyogamdan and Yukmisamleunghwan are the most useful base prescriptions which use the Rhizoma Cyperi as the main component. Conclusions : This information provide the rationale for establishing Basic evidance in the oriental medical prescription.

The following conclusions were reached through investigations on the prescriptions that use Magnoliae Cortex as a key component. Prescriptions that Magnoliae Cortex was taken as a monarch drug are utilized for 13 therapeutic purposes, for example, abdominal dropsy, abdominal lump. In particular, 27.5% of the prescriptions appear in the chapter of abdominal dropsy. Prescriptions that utilize Magnoliae Cortex as the main ingredient are used in the treatment of abdominal lump, abdominal dropsy. Magnoliae Cortex is used in pathogenic factors such as cold, congestion of Qi and used in pathology related to digestive system. The dosage of Magnoliae Cortex is 2pun(about 0.75g) to 3don(about 11.25 g), however 1don(about 3.75g) has been taken the most for clinical application. Pyeongwisan is the most useful base prescription which use the Magnoliae Cortex as the main component.

Objectives : This report describes 36 formulas including Asparagi Radix and Liriopis Tuber in Dongeuibogam. Asparagi Radix and Liriopis Tuber have been used separately or concurrently in Oriental Medicine for a long time as a treatment for various diseases. Methods : 36 formulas including Asparagi Radix and Liriopis Tuber as a main component which have been used separately or concurrently in Oriental Medicine for a long time as a treatment for various disease in Dongeuibogam were studied through order of frequency, symptoms, dosages, etc. Results : 1. 6 formulas are recorded in fatigue chapter, 5 formulas in blood chapter 7 formulas in body shape chapter and fire chapter each which are arranged in order of frequency. 2. Enhancing strength and life span herbs are most used in formulas including Asparagi Radix and Liriopis Tuber. General fatigue treating herbs, severe bleeding cold, fire moving by yin-deficiency and kidney malfunction treating herbs are following frequency among 25 symptoms in formulas including Asparagi Radix and Liriopis Tuber. 3. The dosages of Asparagi Radix which is used same amount Liriopis Tuber are ranged from 2.5 puns~2 jeons. 1 jeon is recorded 13(36.1%), 5 puns is 6(16.7%), 7 puns and 2 jeons are recorded 4(11.1%), the rests are 3(8.3%) used among 36 formulas including Asparagi Radix and Liriopis Tuber. 4. The frequencies of Asparagi Radix and Liriopis Tuber have 9(25.0%) in decoctions groups, 27(75.0%) in the other groups except decoctions. So the ratio of decoctions groups to the other groups in being used is about 1:3. Decoction groups are used in enhancing Yin and descending fire, on the other hands the other groups except decoctions are used in well-being in whole life. Conclusions : The 36 formulas including Asparagi Radix and Liriopis Tuber in Dongeuibogam are mainly composed of Eedong-go, Insamgobon-hwan, Gamri-hwan, Samjae-hwan, Saengjihwang-go, Naebo-hwan, etc.
