Development of a Web-based Presentation Attitude Correction Program Centered on Analyzing Facial Features of Videos through Coordinate Calculation (좌표계산을 통해 동영상의 안면 특징점 분석을 중심으로 한 웹 기반 발표 태도 교정 프로그램 개발)

  • In order to improve formal presentation attitudes such as presentation of job interviews and presentation of project results at the company, there are few automated methods other than observation by colleagues or professors. In previous studies, it was reported that the speaker's stable speech and gaze processing affect the delivery power in the presentation. Also, there are studies that show that proper feedback on one's presentation has the effect of increasing the presenter's ability to present. In this paper, considering the positive aspects of correction, we developed a program that intelligently corrects the wrong presentation habits and attitudes of college students through facial analysis of videos and analyzed the proposed program's performance. The proposed program was developed through web-based verification of the use of redundant words and facial recognition and textualization of the presentation contents. To this end, an artificial intelligence model for classification was developed, and after extracting the video object, facial feature points were recognized based on the coordinates. Then, using 4000 facial data, the performance of the algorithm in this paper was compared and analyzed with the case of facial recognition using a Teachable Machine. Use the program to help presenters by correcting their presentation attitude.

  • Recording to development of info-communication, recent educational paradigm asks not for a passive transmitter but an active constructor who can solve the various complicated problems in real situations. Such a change asks for the educational setting which includes sharing ideas and information rather than possessing them by themselves. Learning through presentation has many problems which are few chances of presentation as well as reusing of presentation data. etc. This study suggested the strategy which are promoting interactions through presentation class and using practically. For this, role of the presentation data provider and learner was suggested, also strategies to implement of the presentation learning support system step by step. Through the strategy of this paper could maintain the active communicating relationship between the learners. Without the limitation of the time and space, the real time communication is made while looking at the presentation data of the other party, the teaming effect by the presentation teaming strategy is expected to be high.

Learning through presentation has many problems including few presentation opportunities as well as the reuse of presentation data. This study suggests such strategies as promoting interactions through presentations and the practical use of these strategies in class. For this, the role of the presentation data provider and learner, and strategies to implement the step by step learning support system have been suggested. Using presentations, as described in this study, allow for communication with students outside the original class time and location. The degree of learning students experience through presentations is expected to be high.

Current Status of SCI & SCIE Publications in the Field of Radiation Oncology in Korea (한국의 방사선종양학과의 SCI 및 SCIE 논문 발표 현황 - 1990년부터 2006년까지)

  • [ $\underline{Purpose}$ ]: To investigate current status of SCI (Science Citation Index) and SCI Expanded publications of Korean radiation oncologists. $\underline{Materials\;and\;Methods}$: Published SCI and SCIE articles the conditions of first author's address as "Korea" and "Radiation Oncology" or "Therapeutic Radiology" were searched from Pubmed database. $\underline{Results}$: From 1990 to 2006, 146 SCI articles and 32 SCIE articles were published. Most frequently published journal was International Journal of Radiation Oncology Biology Physics, where 56 articles were found. Articles with 30 or more citations were only five and 10 or more citations were 26. Yonsei University, which had 57 published articles, was the top among 19 affiliations which had one or more SCI and SCIE articles. Authors with five or more articles were 9 and Seong J. of Yonsei University was the top with 19 articles. $\underline{Conclusion}$: The investigations showed disappointing results. The members of Korean Society of Radiation Oncologists must consider a strategy to increase SCI and SCIE publications.

Effects of OPEC Announcements in Different Periods of Oil Price Fluctuation (사건연구 방법론을 이용한 OPEC 생산량 발표의 원유시장 영향 분석)

  • An OPEC production announcement is a major source of supply disruption that has a significant impact on the international crude oil market. In this study, the effects of OPEC's announcements are analyzed using event study methodology. Considering the oil price volatility and structural changes in the oil price, we divide the entire period into three periods and analyze the impact of OPEC's production quota announcements, including 'cut', 'hike', and 'maintain'. As a result of the analysis, we observe that the degree and direction of abnormal returns differ according to the announcements in each period. In addition, by subdividing oil price surge and plunge period into two sections, we analyze the effect of OPEC's 'maintain' announcements. During the oil price plunge period, the amount of abnormal returns was significant. This study provides policy implications for oil trading strategies and for the impact of OPEC announcements during periods of oil price fluctuation.
