  • 최근, 분리막의 응용에서 가장 활발하게 연구되고 있는 것이 반응과 분리를 동시에 수행하는 분리막 반응기(막 반응기)이다. 분리박 반응기 (membrane reactor)는 분리박과 반응기를 결합하여 분리와 반응의 단위공정을 하나로 결합하여 전체공정을 단순화하고 반응 효율을 높이고자 하는 새로운 기술이다. 반응과 분리를 동시에 수행할 수 있는 막 반응기를 도입하면, 생성물이 분리막을 이용하여 선택적으로 제거함으로서, 열역학적 평형을 뛰어넘는 전환율과 부반응물(by-product) 억제에 의한 반응 효율을 향상시킨다.   • The fact that a reaction between organothioenamine phosphonate and styrene oxide produces a derivative of cyclopropane has been proved by structural identification. This suggests that an anionic oxygen atom from the ring opening of the styrene oxide by nucleophilic attack of thioenamine phosphonate links to the phosphorous atom to from a betaine as an intermediate which is followed by cleavage of the weak P-C bond. The dextrorotatory optical activity of the product showed that the reaction was under the control of steric stability of the benzyl carbon in styrene which leads to the product through a sterically stable pathway.

  • The reactions of trimethylbenzenes were investigated over dealuminated, cation-exchanged mordenite catalysts. Higher reaction temperature favored the formation of disproportionation products. In the reaction of 1,2,4-trimethylbenzene, the formation of 1,3,5-trimethylbenzene and the disproportionation products decreased sharply with reaction time. The product distribution, especially the distribution of trimethylbenzenes, suggests that the effective pore diameter of Ba-exchanged dealuminated mordenite catalysts lies somewhere between 8.1 and 8.6${\AA}$.

  • Investigation of alkali activation of fly ash and blast furnace slag was carried out using waterglass and sodium hydroxide. XRD, FTIR, $^{29}Si$ and $^{27}Al$ NMR, TGA and SEM were used to observed the reaction products and microstructure of the fly ash/slag cement (FSC) pastes. The reaction products were amorphous or low-ordered calcium silicate hydrate and aluminosilicate gel produced from alkali activation of blast furnace slag and fly ash, respectively. On the basis of this investigation, waterglass solution with a modulus(Ms) of 1.0 and 1.2 is recommended for alkali activation of fly ash and blast furnace slag. Morphology of FSC pastes alkali-activated with Ms of 1.0 and 1.2 shows a more solid and continuous matrix due to restructuring of gel-like reaction products from alkali-activated fly ash and blast furnace slag together with another hydrolysis product(i.e., silica gel) from water glass.

  • 킬른형 열분해 반응기를 이용하여 혼합폐플라스틱의 열분해로부터 얻어진 고분자성분의 열적분해 특성에 관한 연구를 TGA와 GC-MS를 이용하여 수행하였다. 열적분해의 속도론적 연구는 $10{\sim}50^{\circ}C/min$ 사이의 여러 가열속도에서 비등온 질량감소 기술을 이용하여 수행하였으며 활성화 에너지 및 반응 차수와 같은 속도 상수들에 대한 정보를 얻기 위하여 문헌에 제시된 여러 가지의 속도론 해석방법을 이용하여 질량감소곡선 및 그 미분 값을 해석하였다. 또한 회분식 열분해 반응기를 이용하여 반응온도에 따른 액상 생성물의 수율변화를 고찰하였으며 GC-MS를 이용하여 액상 생성물의 반응온도 증가에 따른 특성연구를 수행하였다.

  • The bunsen reaction, part of IS(Iodine-sulfur) cycle that one of the hydrogen production by the thermochemical water splitting, was investigated. It was observed that $H_2SO_4$ was uniformly generated and generation of $H_2SO_4$ was independent of iodine input. However, generation of HI was decreased with increasing iodine input. It was thought that HI and unreacted iodine were formed complex compound such as $HI_3$ $HI_5$ or $HI_7$. The complex compound accelerated liquid-liquid separation properties in the product. It was also revealed that reaction kinetics was increased with increasing iodine input. Liquid-liquid separation properties were improved with increasing iodine input and reaction temperature. Moreover, no side reaction was occurred at all reaction conditions.

  • The intramolecular formal iron-catalyzed [4+2] cycloaddition reaction of acetylenic dienes to produce bicyclic products has been investigated. These reactions proceeded, competing via intramolecular carbocyclization and bimolecular cycloaddition. However, the iron-catalyzed bicyclic carbocyclization of 4,4-dimethyl-3-(tert-butyldimethylsiloxy)-1-phenyl-6,8-decadien-1-yne(11) yielded exclusively bicyclic diene product(yield 78.1%). From this result, we found that the substrate containing a dimethyl substitutent at the 4,4-position helped to promote the intramolecular reaction, which is stable to the iron catalyzed conditions.

방전으로 인한 화학반응과 그의 응용

  • 지금까지 알려진 방전반응은 이외로 수가 많지만 이들을 정연하게 분리해본다는 것은 쉽지않다. 일반적으로 방전으로 인하여 화학반응은 물질에 전기에너지를 흡수시키면서 행하는 기술이고 전기적입력량을 화학적입력량으로 변환할때 복잡한 조작 파라미터를 솜씨좋게 조절해야한다. 대부분의 반응을 보면 어떠한 방전형식으로 그의 반응물질을 방전처리 하고 혹은 그중에서 방전을 행하게 하고 생성물을 분석한 것이다. 반응의 단순화 혹은 생성물이 1차 혹은 부착적으로 이루어진 것인가에 대한 검토는 적고 어떤계는 방전처리하면 이와같이 되었다고 한 예에 지나지 않는다고 본다. 방전형식에 의한 차이, 방전조건 가령 전극의 성질, 구조 및 배치, 가스압력, 조성온도, 유속 및 방전전류에 의해서도 물론 반응내용에 다소 차이가 있다고 생각된다. 특히 방전반응의 큰 결점은 소요의 소과정만을 일으키게 하는 에너지를 선택적으로 투입할 수 없는점 예를 들면 방전을 행하기 위하여는 전자가 전계내에서 가속되어 분자를 이온화하는 경우 동시에 분자의 여기 해리도 일으키는 상태가 있음으로 분자의 해리 과정만을 단일로 일으키게 하는 것은 곤란하다. 따라서 반응의 단순화가 얻을 수 없다.

Studies on Ozonation of Nicotine (니코틴의 오존화 반응에 관한 연구)

  • Nicotine was reacted with an equimolar amount of ozone in methylene chloride and distilled water. The reaction mixture was separated by column chromatography or thin layer chromatography and then purified by vacuum distillation. The six compounds obtained from this reaction were characterized by NMR, IR and Mass spectrometry. These were identified as unchanged nicotine, nornicotine, anabasine, ${\beta}$-nicotyrine, cotinine and nicotine-N-oxide. From these results, reaction mechanism for the ozonolysis ofon nicotine was proposed; the pyrrolidine ring is attacked by ozone at the 1'-position followed by further transformation.

Effects of reaction conditions on composition of the organic liquid product during the deoxygenation process of palm oil (팜유(Plam Oil)의 탈산소 공정 중 운전 조건이 생성물의 조성에 미치는 영향)

  • Selection of optimum reaction conditions during deoxygenation process of palm oil is essential factor to obtain the maximum yield of bio-jet fuel. In this context, the deoxygenation of palm oil was carried out in a fixed bed reactor with an internal diameter of 1 inch loaded with a 1 wt.% $Pt/Al_2O_3$ catalyst. The composition of the organic liquid product(OLP), which can be utilized as a transportation fuel through the upgrading process, was analyzed by a gas chromatography method. The palm oil/hydrogen ratio and hydrogen pressure in the feed affected the decarboxylation(DCB) and hydrodeoxygenation(HDO) reactions, resulting in a change in the composition of the OLP. As the reaction temperature increased, the continuous cracking reaction of the deoxygenation product was promoted and the product composition in the $C_5{\sim}C_{14}$ region was increased. Thus, the results can help to understand the characteristics of deoxidation reaction of palm oil as well as the subsequent process, hydro-upgrading, to obtain the maximum yield of bio-jet fuel.
