In today's modern society, since the Industrial Revolution took place, still lots of goods have been produced in quantity. However, human's instinct has been growing bigger and bigger that he or she wants to possess the works or products of scarcity and aesthetic value of a sculpture handmade by craftsmen, not mass-produced with the same design patterns. Accordingly, it is required that an artist be concerned about the value of figuring out and pursuing an individual's lifestyle, his/her needs and inherent desires. Moreover, by means of visualization technique, an artist should provide the public with several scenarios about the future, letting them choose the one they want democratically. Therefore, with the help of Mokumegane technique, one of the traditional metal crafts techniques, which shows certain organic patterns joining different metals, this research aims for the inheritance of traditional techniques and the objective preparation for high-quality crafts market, studying the patterns expressed on the surface of metals, which are hard to find through machines.

The field of design is expanding and diversified in modern society while several new functions are presented by converging a variety of fields of knowledge. There are changes happening in people's way of thinking, sensitivity and behaviors as they are seeking for a new way of expression and aesthetic values. Accordingly, the black and white drawings are increasing as a new way of recognition of tradition or new materials. This paper is to make a study of the expression methods and their analysis of the black and white drawings, based on their historical and social background, and has suggested black and white expression methods as an aesthetic value consistent with the traditional oriental beauty and emotional sensitivity. This paper is also aimed at studying practical usage of the expression of black and white drawings shown in the TV-CM design, and expanding the scope of design by analyzing the conception, features, and classification of the black and white drawings and searching for a new technique or an oriental expression method.

In fashion, there are various cultural aspects that exist in complexity, where according to the era, even fashion items newly develop and prevail into various designs in the organic function with reality of related cultural phenomenon and aesthetic aim. Among the fashion items, the shoe is historically considered as the shield from lust and also the provision of praise against the most emotional incitement. Mankind has started wearing shoes out of the functional purpose of protection since the ancient Egyptian times. Thereafter humankind has been creating shoes artistically in respect to shape, color, and quality of material, etc, as an expression of aesthetical awareness and introspective desire for beauty. As modern fashion increasingly regards the total fashion image much more important than each items consisting the whole outfit, the role of shoe became essential more than ever. Contrary to its relative importance, little academic attention was given to this area yet, while prestigious museums and galleries in Europe and the USA have held exhibitions of shoes in view of both historical and artistic aspects. This study aims to make a historical inquiry of western shoes. through which their aesthetic values can be drawn. Literature on this subject including aesthetics, history of costume and arts were referred. Fashion magazines and catalogues were investigated for additional information. The process and results of this study are meant to be a suggestion not only to further studies but also to artistic and creative shoe design. Originated for the functional purpose, shoes have evolved in various shapes with different meanings attached to it. When the technological development made the satisfaction for functional needs possible, the intrinsic attribute, the aesthetic value was pursued. The historical contemplations of shoes from Egyptian times to the 1990's led to the results that the intrinsic aesthetic value of shoes can be summarized as follows: 1) protection and extension of body, 2) need for decoration, 3) erotic expression, 4) symbol of dignity and class, 5) fashion.

The purpose of this study is to produce the results of the cultural aspects of the Honam region and present the aesthetic specificity of the traditional dances inherited in the Yehyang Honam region. The research method examined the regional characteristics of Honam dance and the form of Lee Mae-bang, Choi Seon, Jang Geum-do, and Cho Gap-nyeo Salpuri dance, and analyzed the authenticity and dance tendencies of Honam dance through the analysis.The work of understanding the background of local culture and creating cultural values through these representative salpuri dances in Honam region is an attempt to reflect on the essential value of the region as an intangible heritage of the region.

The purpose of this study is to understand how wearable computing devices are designed and how to design them in a technology based wearable device design research. Research is premised on the consideration of producers and consumers. There is wearable computer of eyeglasses, watches, clothes, and so on. The user can always wear these products comfort and use as part of the body without any sense of discomfort, and the goal is to supplement or double the ability of the human being. It should be easy to use them convenient, wear comfortable, safe and sociable at any time. For the satisfaction these conditions, the wearable computing devices have several factors. There are technical performances, visual aesthetics, Human body system and devices communication and safety. Furthermore, these factors have to match to operating system, real-time operating system and applied software. To comprehend wearable computing devices should be offered the design of the both software and hardware designed.

Fashion is a cultural element expressing general and common aesthetic awareness in a relevant region in the relevant times. On the aspect that shoes are also a part of fashion reflecting the unique aesthetic awareness of Korea, this paper aims to analyze the aesthetic awareness contained in the aesthetic features observed in the traditional boots. The aesthetic features in terms of the form were the balanced usage of each element including curves, straight lines, simple shapes, contrast colors and materials, and the application and ideological significance as the symbol of social position and status in terms of the contents. Aesthetic awareness pursues the beauty of moderation through the compromise between curves and straight lines, as both elements accept each other's features and keep balance without inclination to one element. Next, solid and void are naturally expressed by appropriately adjusting the expression on colors, materials and shapes through the harmony of composure and techniques. While traditional boots were used as the sign indicating social position and status as the unity of spirit and a thing, they pursue the value of rhythmic vitality by giving spiritual meaning to a thing.

As pioneers of the early video art, Steina Vasulka(1940-) and Woody Vasulka(1937-2019) had lead not only their own experimental arts, but also entire changes of contemporary avant-garde performance, music, and visual art. Two artists invented and developed electronic machines for video image-processing by collaborating with engineers, and performed creative experiment on transformation of digital image. For them, video art is not just a means of documentation. The Vasulkas' artistic practices were not bounded by conventional canons and rules in art world, and preferably were parts of active aesthetic strategies for coexistence of vision of human and vision of machine. Particularly, their video art recognized the video as the key medium in an era where media technology began to dominate the system of communication, and established artist's authority over manipulation of moving image electronically without depending on video camera. In that regard, we can value on their video art. Therefore, the paper reflects on the Vasulkas' art and life which have not yet been studied, and suggests academic interests in the context of their artistic activities and aesthetic strategies.

If environmental aesthetics contains the whole area of grand beauty of nature and the meaning of the urban landscape, the urban landscape is defined 'fine view of urban, or beautiful sight' therefore, we must look for the wary to introduce and solve the aesthetic problem with a new paradym of the urban landscape. Such environmental aesthetics as to seek a new planning for the urban landscape can provide a new meaning for urban environment design by extracting design elements of street furniture resulted form aesthetic evaluation in context of formation aesthetics to review the aesthetic value and substance, and explain aesthetic experience, and explain aesthetic experience of urban the landscape.

본 연구는 1990년대 밀리터리 패션에서 성적 이미 지의 표현양상을 살펴보고 각각의 미적 특성과 형성 요인을 분석하여 현대 여성의 다양한 미적 가치와 미의식을 이해하고자 한다. 1, 2차 세계대전을 계기로 자연스럽게 등장한 밀 리터리 패션은 20세기 초반에 여성의 사회참여와 지 위 향상으로 인해 실용성과 기능성을 추구하였고 중 반에 들어서면서 히피와 젊은 세대들에 의해 반전운 동의 일환으로 입혀져 안티패션의 의미를 내포하게 되었으며 후반에는 포스트모더 니즘으로 인해 다양성 을 추구하는 복고풍의 패션 트랜드로서 각종 컬혜션 에서 부각되었다. 그 결과 밀리터리 패션은 기존의 남성적 이미지뿐만 아니라 여성적 이미지도 표현하 게 되었다. 이러한 밀리터리 패션에 나타난 성적 이 미지는 권위적 이미지와 공격적 이미지의 남성적 이 미지와 보수적 이미지와 과시적 이미지, 관능적 이미 지의 여성적 이미지로 표현되어 나타났다. 남성적 이미지는 자유주의 페미니즘과 관련하여 남성 중심적 사고 방식에 도전하고자 하는 여성들의 자아의식이 한층 강하게 작용한 일종의 반 패션 현 상으로 권위적 이미지와 공격적 이미지로 특정지을 수 있다. 첫째, 권위적 이미지는 주로 고전적 군복과 제복의 이미지를 차용해 군복이 가지는 권위와 위엄을 표출 하였으며 남성 우월주의에 기초한 영웅주의를 가시 적으로 표현하였다. 이는 떳떳하게 자신의 위치를 세 우고자 하는 여성들의 욕구를 대변하였으며 영웅주 의와 가부장제도가 그 형성요인으로 작용하였다. 둘째, 공격적 이미지는 권위적 이미지에 대한 저 항과 기존의 성 정체성에 대한 저항으로써 전위적인 형태와 해체적인 표현으로 본래의 위엄있는 군복의 이미지를 무너뜨려 남성다웅의 표면적인 메시지를 약화시키고자 하였으며 반체제 정신, 성 정체성에 대 한 저항, 해체주의가 그 형성요인으로 작용하였다. 여성적 이미지는 급진주의 페미니즘과 관련하여 여성 본래의 성을 부각시키고 여성이 주체가 된 여 성중심적 사고로 여성의 감성적 심리를 패션을 통해 표현하고자 하였으며 보수적 이미지, 과시적 이미지, 관능적 이미지로 특징 지을 수 있다. 첫째, 보수적 이미지는 남성적 영역이라고 믿어왔 던 군복에 여성성을 강조하여 가늘고 유연한 실루엣 과 곡선적인 라인, 색채. 심플한 디테일만으로 밀리 터리 패션을 표현하여 남성중심의 이데올로기에서 벗어나 여성도 사회의 중심이 될 수 있음을 시사하 였으며 남성 권위의 추락이 그 형성요인으로 작용하 였다. 둘째, 과시적 이미지는 전통적 군복이 과거의 상 류층 엘리트들만의 아이템이었듯이 현대의 여성들은 신분과 매력의 과시를 표현하고자 금속 단추나 벨트 등 기타장식을 부각시킨 밀리터리 패션을 착용하였 으며 엘리트층에 대한 동경이 그 형성요인으로 작용하였다. 셋째, 관능적 이미지는 신체의 간접적인 노출과 직접적인 노출을 통해 여성의 신체에 의한 에로틱한 관능미를 부여하고자 하였으며 나르시시즘과 보이고 자 하는 욕구, 성적 유희가 그 형성요인으로 작용하였다. 그러므로 밀리터리 패션에 나타난 성적 이미지에 관한 연구는 패션을 통해 자아를 표현하고 미적으로 자기완성의 방편을 삼으려고 한 현대 여성들의 가치 관과 미의식을 이해하며 이를 충족시키고자 하는 패 션 트랜드와 디자인 개발에 도움이 될 것이다.

In order to consider application and evaluation of value and class of domestic wetland, we investigated 146 wetlands located Gyeongsangnam-do using Rapid Assessment Method (RAM). We utilized Self-Organizing-Map (SOM) to analysis relationship between evaluation index and land coverage ratio surrounding wetland. Among total 8 evaluation index, 'Fish and herptile habitat' and 'Aesthetic value' were higher, most of the wetlands evaluated as 2, 3 grade. Result of SOM analysis, 'vegetation diversity and wild animals habitat' is negatively related to the 'Fish and herptile habitat', because fishs were not prefer habitat excessively occupied by plant. However, high vegetation diversity can be support high score of 'Aesthetic' in wetland. Also, 'Erosion control' and 'Flood storage and control' were closely related, wetlands with high score of 'Erosion control' have high score of 'Flood storage and control'. When applied RAM in domestic wetland, six out of 6 evaluation index induced biased results, the index of RAM need a little change as some new or modify evaluation index. Therefore, we consider to need adjustable, subdivide, and actualization of some evaluation index for application of RAM in domestic wetlands. Consequently, wetland assessment and class using RAM can be utilized as important indicate for conservation and management of wetland, and contributed greatly to maintain biodiversity include to endangered species by preserving remaining wetland.
