탄소침적으로 피독된 탈질 촉매의 재생에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Regeneration of SCR Catalyst Deactivated by Unburned Carbon Deposition)

  • 폐 목재 소각 보일러 배가스로부터 질소산화물을 저감하기 위하여 설치된 선택적촉매환원 공정의 시운전 중에 전단에 설치된 여과포의 일부 소실이 발생되었다. 여과포 소실에 따른 불완전 연소 가스는 2단으로 설치된 저온 탈질촉매 표면을 미연탄소로 침적시켜 촉매의 탈질 효율을 급격히 저감시켰다. 활성 저하의 원인 분석을 위하여 XRD, EDX, BET, TGA, SEM 등 다양한 특성 분석을 실시하였다. 재생 방법으로 산 세척, 초음파 수 세척, 공기 중 소성의 방법을 적용한 결과, 공기분위기에서 $450^{\circ}C$로 2시간 소성하는 것이 최적조건 임을 밝혀내었다. 재생된 촉매는 2 cm ${\times}$ 2 cm ${\times}$ 10 cm(촉매 무게 10 g) Honeycomb 촉매 시료를 이용하여 활성을 측정한 결과 사용 전 촉매와 동일한 수준의 활성인 $180^{\circ}C$에서 NOx저감 효율 100%를 나타내었다.

  • Increasing environmental pressures to reduce NOx emission are being placed on coal-fired boilers. To meet the environmental requirements, Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction Co., Ltd.(Doosan) has developed low NOx pulverized coal burner. Low NOx pulverized coal burner has already delivered, and it's combustion performance was evaluated to the NOx and Unburned Carbon(UBC) during the commissioning tests. The test results are shown that the strong relationship is existed between NOx and OFA flow rate, and also fuel-N fraction of coal has effected on NOx emission.

화염감시 시스템 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Flame Monitoring System Development)

  • Increased energy costs have placed demands for improved combustion efficiency, high equipment availability, low maintenance and safe operation. Simultaneously low NOx modification, installed due to stricter environmental legislations, require very careful combustion management. The flame diagnostics system has been developed specially to meet these requirements. We aimed at gaining the relationship between burner flame image and emissions such as NOx and unburned carbon in furnace by utilizing the image processing method. For the first step of development, its possibility test was undertaken with bench furnace. The test proceeded to the second step with pilot furnace, the system was observed to be effective for evaluating the combustion conditions.

  • The goal of this study is to investigate the potential application of triboelectrostatic separation process for removing unburned carbon from fly ash. The process utilizes the difference in electrical charging characteristics between the organic material (carbon) and the mineral matter (fly ash). In the present work, dry separation tests have been conducted on Samchunpo fly ash samples using a bench - scale analytic separator. The test variables studied include air rate, feed rate, electric field strength, particle size, charger material and length, etc. The best separation results were obtained at the air rate 501/min, feed rate 15 g/min and voltage 15 ㎸. The fly ash with carbon content below 1 % was obtained with over 65% recovery.

  • It is necessary for manufacturing the high flowing to use the fly-ash as binder of concrete, therefore, Quality of fly-ash is very important to the fluidity of high flowing concrete. In this study, it is comparing and investigating the fludity of high flowing concrete used some fly-ash which it's Ignition loss is 2.44, 4.90, 7.10%. As a result of this experimental study, Ignition loss of fly-ash effects the properties of high flowing concrete, such as air content, flowability, passability etc. but even if valve of ignition loss is upper the specification, properties of high flowing concrete such as setting and hardening time, compressive strength etc.

  • In this study, effects of carbon content and fineness of fly-ash on the workability an the strength development of concrete and investigated experimentally. Carbon content with 6 levels (0, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7%) and fineness with 3 levels (4, 000, 5, 000, 6, 000 $\textrm{cm}^2$/g) are selected for test variables. Besides, the effect of fly-ash with variation of initial concrete temperature is tested. To measure slump and air losses, small laboratory agitator is used. As the results, the used AE admixture content to maintain constant initial air content is increased linearly with increasing carbon content in fly-ash. With increasing fineness of fly-ash, the strengths at 3 and 7 days are slightly increased, however, there is no clear difference among 28 day strengths within the scope of this study.

  • The increase of activated carbon contents in fly ashes accelerate the corrosion of steel embedded in ordinary portland cement(OPC) mortar. Cement losses its identity of colour when the % of carbon is increased. More than 60[%] area was rusted when carbon content is increased beyond 8[%] for the exposure period of one year. Comparable corrosion rate with OPC was obtained up to 6[%] carbon level only. The tolerable limit of replacement for various admixed carbon system under aggressive alternate wetting and drying condition with 3[%] NaCl was found to be 6 to 8[%].

배기 압력 상승률에 의한 실화 검출 (The Misfire Detection by the Exhaust Pressure Ascent Rate)

  • This paper proposes a method to detect misfired cylinders by the exhaust pressure ascent rate. The misfire is generated by faults of electric system or faults of fuel delivery system. It is one of the abnormal combustions. Therefore, it increases the unburned hydrocarbon and the carbon monoxide and affects a bad influence to the 3-way catalyst. The misfire causes to decrease the power of the engine and increase the consumption of the fuel. Early detection and correction of the misfired cylinders can prevent these unusual phenomena. The misfired cylinders can be detected by the comparison of exhaust pressure ascent rate during each cycle. The exhaust pressure ascent rate is defined as pressure rise per time. Our experimental results showed that the proposed method is effective in the detection of the misfired cylinders on a gasoline engine regardless loads and revolutions of the engine.

  • A glassy thin film was formed on the surface of the blast furnace slag. When blast furnace slag is used as an admixture of concrete, addition of alkali activators were required. However, alkali activators are not only dangerous as chemical products, but they are also difficult to use as expensive materials. Therefore, it is necessary to study the way of removal of the glassy thin film of blast furnace slag without the risk and cost increase. In this study, to solve this problem, experiment was carried out to improve the hydration reactivity by treatment the surface of blast furnace slag using arc discharge. Experimental results show that when the surface of the blast furnace slag was tratmented by arc discharge, the glassy thin film was destroyed. And the hydration reactivity was improved, the compressive strength was increased.
