다빈치나 보티첼리의 작품은 잘 그린 그림이라는 것을 쉽게 공감할 수 있지만 피카소의 그림을 보면 어딘가 불편함을 느낄 뿐 훌륭한 작품이라는 생각을 하긴 쉽지 않다. 이러한 불편한 느낌은 잭슨 폴록의 작품에서 극에 달해 현대미술이 과연 미술작품으로 불릴 수 있는지에 대한 의구심마저 든다. 피카소의 작품은 최소한 그림처럼 보기긴 했지만 잭슨 폴록의 작품은 캔버스에 물감을 휘갈겨 뿌렸을 뿐 그 속에서 그림이라고 불릴만한 요소를 찾긴 어렵기 때문이다. 하지만 이렇게 혼란스러운 추상화도 과학의 눈으로 보면 놀랍게도 그림이 보인다. 과학은 예술과 서로 대척점에 있는 것이 아니라 예술을 이해할 수 있는 또 하나의 방법이다.

This paper intends to propose a technology for recommending convergence/composite art playlist contents that are fused with tags suitable for the user's situational information and taste to users for non-face-to-face art appreciation education. For the implementation of the proposed technology, the characteristics of works of art are analyzed, and related music and works of art are matched based on the tags of the analyzed works. In addition, we would like to propose a technology that automatically creates content for fusion and complex art viewing playlists using matched works.

This study provides a synthesis of the fundamental concepts of "art archives" and "archival art" while undertaking a reconsideration of the latter. Archival art refers to "artworks or art practices that utilize archival structures or methodologies." Accepted as a new trend in contemporary art, archival art is evaluated as a counternarrative and reconstructs histories that are marginalized and omitted from the public sphere. This approach reveals the contradictory nature of criticizing the contemporary archive from an anti-archival perspective while simultaneously presenting the archive as a core identity of the work. Given the limited research on archival art, often with potential contradictions regarding record authenticity, this study expands the concept of archival art, includes archaeological aspects, classifies types, and analyzes their characteristics. By approaching artists' use of archives from a traditional archaeological lens, this study broadens the scope of the examination.

In the multimedia era and contemporary art, the expression of narrative is expanding in various ways based on formal theory. And the expression form is maximized according to the use of each medium. In terms of understanding artworks, an approach that combines various expressions and media using these narratives is also possible. Therefore, this study analyzed the works of the artists by selecting three artists, Sadic Guissi Alfrazi, Lindsay Sears, and Kara Walker, who fused the media using narrative structures. Through this, it was intended to present the artistic value and significance of the work and the possibility of expanding the narrative expression of contemporary art in the future. As a result of the analysis of previous artists' works, it was shown that the phase of convergence can be derived by using the medium of narrative concepts beyond the dichotomy of content and form, confirming that digital technology and media development are changing the form of art. In addition, it was confirmed that the use of narrative structure facilitates media conversion. It is expected that discussions on the new paradigm of contemporary art will progress in the future.

In the 21st century, the phenomenon of interaction in between fine art and design has become more increasingly prevalent. In this paper, the author has analyzed the major works of Spanish artist Eva $Armis{\dot{e}}n$ on a cultural criticism perspective, and has proposed a framework for a deeper understating of the artworks, which reflected the characteristics of contemporary art and culture such as deterritorialization of art and design. As a result, it has been found that the main theme of her artworks is about preferred attitude of a human being in relationship with others, unlike daily lives or innocence of childhood which are well-known subjects to the public. Her main female character could have been formed by blending all of her aesthetic reason, and characteristics of this era and cultural elements. It means that the area where the public enjoys the sense of beauty have been extending from the area of the beautiful to the beauty of universality. It has been found that deterriorialization phenomena, which is a characteristic of post-modern art and design work to dismantle an existing order, the repression, appeared in her work. However, several research areas of her works such as relationship between text and image or formative elements or aphorism etc. still have remained to be solved.

오늘날 미술관은 이용자가 원하는 정보를 정확히 파악하여 접근하고 활용할 수 있도록 소장 작품 뿐 아니라, 이와 관련한 미술기록 정보까지 제공하는 것을 고려하고 있다. 따라서 미술기록을 관리하는 업무에 최근 들어 미술계 및 관련 분야에서 아트 아카이브의 관심과 인식이 증가하고 있다. 관련하여 이 연구에서는 국내 국 공립미술관의 미술기록관리 현황 및 메타데이터 레코드 구축 현황을 살펴보았다. 분석 결과 미술작품 관련 여러 미술기록 대상의 기록관리나 관련 메타데이터 구축이 충분히 진행되지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 메타데이터 요소가 여러 유형의 미술기록을 포함하여 기술하기에는 부족한 것으로 파악되었다.

After the coronavirus pandemic, quarantine or social distancing was required for public health and almost all international exchanges were restricted. Those changes affected huge peoples lifestyle including a way of behaving, purchase and even old habits seemed unable to change. The art market also faced many changes. Art fairs are the primary sectors in the art market but restrictions on gathering and exchanges between countries have primarily affected the size and the type of event. Online platforms are rising, art fairs opened online viewing rooms on the internet instead of booths in the convention center. Even galleries opened their own viewing rooms or renewed online pages to promote artworks and communicate with customers. In this paper, we will examine the effects of Corona on the art market and will seek a way to react to those changes and challenges.

Part of public arts, environmental sculpture not only enhance the beauty of a building, but also a landmark having intimate values with the city environment and symbolic meanings. 'Space storytelling' is not only a connecting bridge between the space and human, but also plays a role in promoting creation of story like a catalyst. Storytelling is expanding to many related industries and one of which is artistic structure, and the storytelling of residental space is getting widely applied to establish the competitive superiority. The purpose of this study involves logically examination the service deliver process of space storytelling based on the residential space. And this study expected to research the influencing factors about purchase and service delivery process of artistic structure.

The 'artist's intention' plays an important role in the conservation process of contemporary art. Accordingly, the information on artworks owned by the artist, their bereaved family members, and foundations that have decision-making power is important. The artist's interview is the kind of data that can clear 'artist's intentions' to ensure reliable conservation treatment can be carried out even after the artist's death. Therefore, this study attempted to use information from the artist's interview on the type of wood in the manufacture of the filler required for lifted and separated bark conditions in the conservation process of wooden artwork in the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. While the conservation treatment resulted in the stable preservation of the bark of artwork, an analysis of the wood confirmed that the information in the artist's interview was not true. Consequently, we suggest that attention must be paid toward the information provided by artist, their bereaved families, etc. Based on the result of this study, this is also expected to help preserve upcoming artworks with similar bark conditions.
