Microcrack Development in the Pocheon Granite due to Cyclic Loading (피로하중에 의한 포천화강암의 미세균열 발달특성)

  • Deformation behavior and microcrack development due to uniaxial compressive cyclic loading in the Pocheon granite were investigated using the ultrasonic velocity measurements and the differential strain analysis(DSA). Most microcracks were developed along the direction parallel to the loading axis. Microcracks developed at the early stage of cyclic loading were formed by propagation of pre-existing cracks. Ultrasonic velocity measurement, DSA and measurement of permanent deformation are good tools to represent microcrack development in rock. Since results from each method are slightly different, microcrack development should be interpreted from all three methods. The magnitude of microcracks developed at the early stage of cyclic loading under 80% loading level is twice compared with those under 70% loading level. The highest volumetric crack strain is about 3000, indicating that the Pocheon granite will fail with 0.3% occupation of microcrack in volume.

Growth Analysis of Chlamydomonas reinhardtii in Photoautotrophic Culture with Microdroplet Photobioreactor System (미세액적 광생물반응기를 활용한 광독립영양배양에서 Chlamydomonas reinhardtii의 성장성 분석)

  • Recently, microalgae which can produce high-value products have attracted increasing attention for biological conversion of $CO_2$. However, low photosynthetic efficiency and productivity have limited the practical use of microalgae. Thus, we developed microdroplet photobioreactor for the analysis of photoautotrophic growth of model alga, Chlamydomonas reinhardtii. $CO_2$ transfer rate was increased by integrating micropillar arrays and adjusting height of microchamber. These results were identified by change of cell growth rate and fluorescence intensity. Lastly, the photoautotrophic growth kinetics of C. reinhardtii in microdroplet photobioreactor were investigated under different $CO_2$ concentrations and light intensities for 96 hours. As a result, microdroplet photobioreactor was efficient platform for isolation and rapid evaluation of microalgal strains which have enhanced productivity of high-value products and growth performance.

Analysis and Prediction of (Ultra) Air Pollution based on Meteorological Data and Atmospheric Environment Data (기상 데이터와 대기 환경 데이터 기반 (초)미세먼지 분석과 예측)

  • Air pollution, which is a class 1 carcinogen, such as asbestos and benzene, is the cause of various diseases. The spread of ultra-air pollution is one of the important causes of the spread of the corona virus. This paper analyzes and predicts fine dust and ultra-air pollution from 2015 to 2019 based on weather data such as average temperature, precipitation, and average wind speed in Seoul and atmospheric environment data such as SO2, NO2, and O3. Linear regression, SVM, and ensemble models among machine learning models were compared and analyzed to predict fine dust by grasping and analyzing the status of air pollution and ultra-air pollution by season and month. In addition, important features(attributes) that affect the generation of fine dust and ultra-air pollution are identified. The highest ultra-air pollution was found in March, and the lowest ultra-air pollution was observed from August to September. In the case of meteorological data, the data that has the most influence on ultra-air pollution is average temperature, and in the case of meteorological data and atmospheric environment data, NO2 has the greatest effect on ultra-air pollution generation.

A Study on Nanocrystalline Silicon Thin Film Deposited by ICP-CVD (ICP-CVD로 증착된 미세결정 실리콘 박막의 특성에 관한 연구)

  • 본 연구에서는 ICP-CVD (inductively coupled plasma chemical vapor deposition)를 이용해 미세결정 실리콘 (nanocrystalline silicon thin film transistor, ns-Si TFT) 초기 성장 단계에 발생하는 비정질의 Incubation layer를 줄이기 위한 실험을 수행하였다. ICP-CVD를 사용하여 증착한 Si-rich $SiN_x$ Seed layer 상의 미세절정 실리콘의 성막조건을 알아보고 특성을 평가하였다. 미세결정 실리콘 박막은 Raman Spectroscopy를 이용해 분석하였다. 미세결정 실리콘의 초기 성장 단계에 발생하는 비정질 Incubation layer를 줄이기 위하여 Si-rich $SiN_x$를 Seed layer로 사용하는 것이 효과적임을 확인하였다. 또한 Si-rich $SiN_x$ 위에서의 미세결정 실리콘 표면 형태와 Seed 성장 기회의 관계를 알아보았다. 높은 전압의 수소 플라즈마 처리는 Seed 성장 기회를 늘이고, 박막의 결정화도를 높임을 확인하였다. 얇은 Incubation layer를 가지는 35nm 이하 두께의 미세결정 실리콘이 성공적으로 증착되었다. 본 연구 결과는 bottom 게이트 방식 박막 트랜지스터에 증착되는 미세결정 실리콘의 전기적 특성 향상에 유용할 것으로 판단된다.

  • 수정란이식의 주변기술인 초기배의 미세조작및 성 판정은 가축의 경우, 경제 형질의 유전적 개량에 크게 기여하였다. 본 연구는 미세조작 biopsy와 PCR에 의한 체외생산 소 초기배의 급속. 정확한 성 판정 기법을 확립하기 위해 실시하였다. 체외성숙 및 체외수정에 의해 생산된 소수정란은 소 난관상피세포와 공배양을 통해 8-세포부터 배반포시시까지 체외발생시킨 후 미세조작 biopsy에 이용되었다. 미세조작 biopsy 과정중에 약간의 형태적인 손상이 관찰되었지만 대부분의 demi-embryo는 정상적인 배반포와 나화배반포로 발생하였다. 8~16 세포, 상실배, 초기배반, 포 시기에서 미세조작 biopsy 후 확장 또는 나환배반포기시기까지의 발달율은 각각 62.8(27/43), 83.3(30/36) 및 80.9%(55/68)로 정상적인 초기배와 큰 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 총 136개의 소 초기배로 부터 2~10개의 할구세포를 미세조작 biopsy에 의해 분리하여 소 특이와 Y-특이염기서열을 가진 두 쌍의 염기서열을 이용하여 PCR을 수해하였다. 이들중 112(82.4%)개를 성공적으로 성 판정하였으며, 암/수 비율은 각각 34.8(39/112)/65.2%(73/112)로 나타났다. 본 실험에서 얻은 결과는 확립된 소 초기배의 미세조작기술과 성 판정 방법을 통해 계획적인 암.수 송아지의 선별 생산뿐만 아니라 소 수정란 이식을 통한 유전적 개량을 촉진시키는데 효과적으로 이용될 수 있는 기술이 확립된 것을 보여주었다.

Estimation of Microplastics Emission Potential in South Korea - For Primary Source - (우리나라 미세플라스틱의 발생잠재량 추정 - 1차 배출원 중심으로 -)

  • Microplastics are fractions of plastics less than 5 mm in size and can be divided into artificially manufactured primary microplastics and physically or chemically decomposed secondary microplastics. In this study, the emission source of microplastics made by the human activities is defined as the primary source of microplastics. And the primary sources of microplastics were summarized by using the literature and the emission potential of each source was estimated. As a result, this study showed that 63,000 to 216,000 ton/year of microplastics were discharged into the environment. Among primary sources, transport, tyre dust, and laundry were the major primary sources.

치과용 Ni-Ti 파일의 피로파절특성에 미치는 표면개질의 영향

  • Ni-Ti 파일은 근관치료 시 근관형성에 사용되며 근관계 내 조직 잔사와 세균 을 포함한 모든 내용물을 제거하고 미세누출이 생기지 않도록 성공적으로 근관충전을 할 수 있는 근관의 형태를 만드는데 사용된다. Ni-Ti 파일은 수동형 파일처럼 날이 풀어지거나 예각으로 꺾이는 등 시각적으로 나타나는 파일의 피로도나 손상정도를 인지하기 어려워 파일이 근관 내에서 부러지는 것을 막기가 어렵다. Ni-Ti 파일은 육안으로 관찰 할 수 있는 구부러짐이나 풀림 등의 소성변형 없이 기구의 탄성한계 내에서 갑작스럽게 파절되는 경우가 있는데, 이는 만곡 근관 내에서 기구가 회전하는 동안 만곡의 안쪽에는 압축응력이, 만곡의 바깥쪽에는 인장응력이 반복적으로 가해짐으로써 파절의 표면에 미세 파절과 균열이 발생하고 전파되어 결국 피로파절(fatigue fracture)을 야기하게 된다. 또한 Ni-Ti파일이 반복응력을 받으면 균열이 형성되면서 파절이 야기되며 연성파절(ductile fracture) 양상을 나타낸다고 보고하였다. Ni-Ti 파일을 이용한 피로파절에 대한 이전의 연구에서는 파일의 직경이나 경사도 (taper), 단면 형태 및 회전속도, 표면결함 등이 파절에 영향을 미친다고 보고되고 있다. 사용하지 않은 Ni-Ti파일을 구부려 응력을 가 한 상태에서 주사전자현미경으로 관찰한 결과 기계 가공 과정에서 발생한 균열, 미세 결함, 긁힌 자국 및 불균질성 등이 원인으로 알려져 있다. 따라서 본 연구발표에서는 표면결함을 최소화하고 기구의 회전응력 하에서 피로파절저항성을 향상시키기 위한 방법에 대하여 알아보고자 한다.

Analysis of fine dust correlation between air quality and meteorological factors using SPSS (SPSS를 이용한 대기질과 기상인자와의 미세먼지 상관관계 분석)

  • Until now, the study of fine dust has been divided into prediction, analysis and measurement, mainly in the field of atmospheric environment. Fine dust is caused by various causes such as atmospheric quality factor, meteorological factor and emission. It was determined that it was a priority to analyze the correlation of how much each element affects fine dust, and it was experimented. This correlation analysis was done using IBM SPSS tool using air quality factor and meteorological factor data obtained from Korea Meteorological Administration and Air Korea. As a result, the influence of air quality factors and meteorological factors on the fine dust level was more clearly understood. In this paper, we present experimental results as correlation analysis and pearson coefficient for more precise analysis between PM10 values and affected factors.

Effects on Preventive Behavior Intention to Particulate Matter by Risk Perception Attitude and Anxiety : Focus on Adoption of RPA Model (위험인식태도와 불안이 미세먼지 예방행동의도에 미치는 영향: RPA모델 적용을 중심으로)

  • This study aimed to understand the effects on preventive behavior intention to particulate matter by risk perception attitude and anxiety. Also, to expand applicable target and range of RPA model, add anxiety. To measure main variables of RPA model, did a survey with 570 college students. With a data, analyzed by correlation, one-way ANOVA and three-way ANOVA. As a result, perceived risk and efficacy effect on intention to preventive action and information seeking. And an anxiety factor effects on intention to preventive action and information seeking also. And distinguished 4 groups of RPA model, there were meaningful differences between intention to preventive action and information seeking by groups, and a factor of anxiety effects certain groups. As a result, it can suggest how to plan and enforce message on preventive campaign of particulate matter. In follow research, with social psychological factors, it will helpful to identify health activities about particulate matters.

Determinants of Preventive Behavior Intention to the Particulate Matter: An Application of the Expansion of Health Belief Model (미세먼지 예방행동의도 결정요인: 건강신념모델 확장을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the determinants of preventive behavior intention to the particulate matter. The results based on the survey of 280 university students showed that the perceived susceptibility and barriers to the particulate matter do not have statistically significant effects on the preventive behavior intention. However, perceived severity and benefits, subjective norm, and self-efficacy to the particulate matter had statistically significant positive effects on the preventive behavior intention. The results of this study suggested that communication strategies to increase perceived severity and benefits, subjective norm and self-efficacy should be required to improve the degree of preventive behavior intention to the particulate matter of college students. It is expected to contribute explaining preventive actions against environmental hazards such as air pollution in the future.
