A Study on the Complementary Direction of the Future Infantry Squad's Structure in Combat Experiment with Manned and Unmanned (전투실험을 통한 미래 유·무인 혼합 보병분대 부대구조 보완방향 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to derive the combat effect by applying combat experiments when operating a future manned/unmanned mixed infantry squad that combines the technology according to the development of advanced science and technology along with changes in the 4th industrial revolution. Contrary to conventional battles involving humans and manually-operated weaponry, modern-day warfare relies on unmanned, automated and intelligence technologies. In order to respond to these changes and prepare for future warfare, the combat effect of future manned and unmanned mixed infantry squads through combat experiments in terms of finding ways to supplement the structure of the squad that conducts direct combat as the most basic organization of the army was measured, and it was confirmed that there was an effect to a certain extent. When seeking the development of the future manned/unmanned mixed infantry squad unit structure, if the AWAM model is used in various combat situations, it will help to find a more optimized future manned/unmanned mixed infantry squad unit structure.

Suggestions for Integrating Foreign Language Teaching with Culture Education (외국어 교육과 문화 교육 통합을 위한 제언)

  • The paper is about teaching culture in a language learning. There are many teachers who are afraid of teaching foreign language with culture. They are delighted to teach politics, economics, history, art and literature as objective culture. But they are hesitant to teach subjective culture which is connected with a communication competency. The paper suggests three stages to instruct culture in a schoolroom. The first stage, it is growing out of the self-centered view. The second step, be developing self-consciousness through comparing mother culture with target culture. The last stage, it has to response to appropriately target culture. The teaching materials for the model suggested are two movies. Because the cultural aspects in the moves are subjective culture, so it has something in common with target cultural situations in a language learning. This method which is teaching culture in a the language learning has the advantage of being easy to teachers and learners. Most students like to watch a movie. The teaching material is The Chronicles of Narnia : The Lion, the Witch and The Wardrobe와 Guess Who?. I hope that this suggestion for cultural teaching is helpful for understanding each other.

Trajectories of Mothers' Daily Life Stress and its Association with Early Adolescents' Perceived Neglecting Attitude and Academic Achievements in Multicultural Families: Growth Mixture Modeling (다문화 가정 어머니의 일상생활스트레스 변화 양상에 따른 방임 및 자녀의 학업성취 차이: 성장혼합모형 적용을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify latent classes in changes of mothers' daily life stress over six years from multicultural families and to test its relationship with early adolescents' perceived neglecting parental attitudes and their academic achievements. For achieving this purpose, as the study sample 1,039 students were gathered from the 4th grade of elementary school to 3rd grade of middle school, using Growth Mixture Modeling, Multiple Group Analysis, and One-way ANOVA. The results were as follows. First, latent classes of mothers' daily life stress were categorized into three types: high-stable trajectory, moderate-changing trajectory, and low-changing trajectory. Second, these three types showed different characteristics in early adolescents' perceived neglecting parental attitudes and academic achievements. Third, early adolescents' perceived neglecting parental attitude were not significant determinants of the latent classes while academic achievements were. The findings of this study may provide a framework for understanding the relationships among mothers' daily life stress and early adolescents' perceived neglecting parental attitudes and their academic achievements in multicultural families and practical implications for providing social support to overcome daily life stress of mothers in multicultural families.

  • Today we seem to be flooded with digital culture as the age of information has reached its peak. As fusion culture has been generalized, in which the arts and culture of the East and the West are in harmony, and quality of life has been improved, people are enjoying more abundant cultural benefits than ever. In such a situation, we may lose the origin of our culture and disregard our traditional culture due to the mixture of cultures. In addition, it is necessary at this point to distinguish pure culture from mixed one and to re-illuminate the value of our original culture for the next generation. Therefore, the author took interested in Dongraeyaryu, a large-scale festival in Busan, which has been designated as an important intangible cultural property, and carried out a research for its continuous instruction and activation. among contents such as music, costume, dancing and stage properties that compose intangible cultural property, this study selected costume, which has significant visual effects and large differences in shape between old one and contemporary one, for development. By proposing modernized design of costume preferred by the new generation and in harmony with the masks, this study wished to narrow the generation gap, to direct young people's attention to the learning of tradition and to propose motives that activate the culture of local festival.

What Determines Open Innovation in SMEs? An Empirical Study Considering the Strategy-Culture Mixed Typology and Environmental Dynamism (무엇이 중소기업의 개방형 혁신을 결정하는가? 전략-문화 혼합유형과 환경 역동성을 고려한 실증연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the types for open innovation of SMEs considering strategic- culture mixed typology and environmental dynamism. The analysis results of 182 SMEs classified into 4 groups are as follows. First, type PD had a positive effect on innovation performance in both in-bound and out-bound innovation and had improved performance through in-bound innovation in a dynamic technical environment. While DH had no significant effect on both innovations. Second, PH and DD, strategy-culture mismatched types, had a single effect of innovation that affected performance. No moderating effects of environmental dynamism had been shown in types PH, DD, DH. SMEs that aim for open innovation should strive to improve performance by aligning change-oriented strategy with creative and challenging culture.

Effect of Virtual Reality Women Health Nursing Practicum on Meta-cognition and Critical Thinking: Mixed Method Study (가상현실 기반 여성건강간호학 실습교육이 메타인지와 비판적 사고에 미치는 효과: 혼합연구 방법)

  • This study applied virtual reality to women health nursing practicum for nursing students and analyzed the educational effect on meta-cognition and critical thinking. The study design was a convergent mixed method using single-group pre-post test design and individual in-depth interviews. After applying the virtual reality program, the post-score (104.16±12.98) was statistically significantly higher than the pre-score (98.59±18.09) (t=1.85, p=.030). There was no statistically significant difference in critical thinking after the program, with the post-score of 101.66±7.18 and the pre-score of 99.18±15.13 (t=1.00, p=.108). Therefore, women health nursing practice education using virtual reality can help improve the meta-cognition of nursing students.

  • 본 논문의 주된 내용은 21세기 지식정보사회의 신경향에 부합하는 새로운 분류체계를 연구한 것으로, 연구된 내용은 다음과 같다. 위의 연구를 통해, 21세기 지식정보사회의 신경향에 부합하는 새로운 분류체계가 되도록 하기 위해 듀이십진분류법을 지양하고 인터넷 검색시스템 정보 분류 방식을 따랐으며, 이용자의 요구에 따라 통합 또는 세분화가 가능한 열린 분류안을 지향했다. 또한, 기획성 분류군을 설정하여 지역 및 문화의 특수성, 사용자의 개인적 요구에 부응할 수 있게 했다. 결론적으로 본 연구에서는 주제별 분류와 기획성 분류를 혼합한 형태로 구성하는 것을 권했다. 주제별 분류안은 학술적으로는 유용하지만, 데이터가 항목별로 균등하게 반영되기 어렵고 일반인의 관심을 다양하게 담아내기 어렵다. 따라서 기획성 분류를 가미함으로써 문화의 특징을 살려내야 한다는 것이다.

Characteristics of finishing materials used in tomb No.1 of the Songje-ri, in Naju (나주 송제리 고분군 1호분에 사용된 마감재의 재료적 특성)

  • This study aims to characterize the material of the finishing materials used in the No.1 stone chamber tomb of the Baekje-era tumuli in Songjeri, Naju with mineralogical, chemical, and physical analyses. The finishing material is a mixture of white lumps and fragments, presumed to be shells, that remain on the surface and between the gaps of the stone walls inside the tomb. The analysis results revealed that the main constituent mineral of the finishing material is calcite. Infrared spectroscopy showed peaks due to calcium carbonate, and thermal reaction decarbonation in the 700~800℃ range, high calcium content, and loss on ignition were confirmed. Therefore, the main material of the finishing materials was determined to be lime, and since no aggregates such as sand or gravel were found, it was identified as lime paste. The shell fragments mixed into the lime paste appear dark blue or grayish-white in color, with no original shape remaining. The surface has a layered structure, and microscopic observations revealed prismatic layers with a columnar structure and nacreous layers with a consistent orientation, suggesting that the shells are from bivalve mollusks. Additionally, X-ray imaging of the shell fragments showed holes and tunnels caused by boring marine organisms both on the surface and inside, and radiocarbon dating results confirmed that the dating of the shells was consistent with the construction period of the tomb. It is concluded that the finishing material used in Tomb No. 1 in Songje-ri, Naju, was lime paste mixed with shell fragments, and the lime was made using the shells of bivalve mollusks as the raw material.

Comparative Study on Social Integration of Immigrants: Based on Immigration Regime (이민자의 사회통합에 대한 국가간 비교: 이민국가 레짐을 기초로)

  • This study was initiated based on the notion that the logic regarding case selection and a perspective for case analysis has never been discussed in previous studies on immigration policy despite its significance. Given the idea, this study investigated levels of integration of immigrants which were operationalized as 1) differences in general conditions of economic, labor, social, and political life between native born and foreign born and 2) level of quality of economic, labor, social life for immigrants. For that purpose, this study analyzed the secondary data set which was a combination of several secondary data sets. Results showed that the countries that belong to traditional immigration regime including Australia, Canada, and US showed higher levels of immigrant integration at various sub categories of integration. Countries that belong to new immigration regime such as Ireland revealed relatively high levels of immigrant integration. The findings from this study implied that integration of immigrants needs to be analyzed with consideration on characteristics of social security policy of each country along with immigration policy and cultural diversity of each country.

Development of a School Multicultural Climate Scale (학교다문화분위기 척도개발 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the School Multicultural Climate(SMC) scale for students and to evaluate its reliability and validity. This study comprises of both qualitative and quantitative research. Preliminary items were developed based on the theoretical literature and interviews with students. The scale was evaluated with students in grades 4 through 6 in the seven elementary schools. Exploratory factor analysis was determined that the scale was composed of four components: Equal Status, Mutual Cooperation, Friendly Relations, Supportive Norms. The scale demonstrated that Cronbach's alpha=.943 for the internal consistency of total items. And the standard error of the measurement, another way of evaluating reliability, was 3.33. Criteria-related validity was evaluated by showing that the differences of the students' recognition of the school multicultural climate level, which depend on the availability of the multiculture-related policy, was statistically significant. The correlation analysis for the convergent validity was performed with the theoretically related variables such as self esteem and school adjustment. It was found that the SMC scale was a reliable and valid measure for evaluating the multicultural climate level of elementary school.
