  • The WHO has defined gaming disorder as a disorder, and there are arguments for and against it from different perspectives. In response, this paper tried to identify the disease model, psychosocial, and cultural perspective for complementing them with an interdisciplinary attitude. First, universal prevention should be provided for general game users to get literacy. Second, selective prevention should be provided for a potentially risky group to find out the alternative activity. Finally, indicated prevention should be provided for a risky group to be treated.

  • In post-industrial society, the ability to feel and express emotion is becoming ever more important. In diverse areas of our lives such as economic, social, political and cultural activities, we are witnessing an increased application of the emotional dimension. This paper deals with the human experiences in emotional designs. Literature reviews and case analyses have been used as the main research methods. I first examine the aspects of emotional experience in designs, and then go on to analyze the components of each aspect. Emotional experience in designs has three basic aspects : (a) initially there exist user's emotional needs (b) then these emotions are delivered through design, (c) finally, emotions expressed in designs are experienced by the user. Followings are the related components for each aspect : (a) Physiological, psychological, social and cultural factors cause one to feel emotional needs. (b) Emotion is delivered either through visual symbols, experience, interaction and participation. (c) Emotion is experienced by sensing, feeling, thinking, acting and relating.

  • Investments into existing cultural facilities are determined based on administrative district-based indices like population and area. Such macro judgment indices, however, fail to consider accessibility of cultural facilities from neighboring administrative districts and thus create problems including wasted budgets and duplicated investments. More recently, the government has made it a goal to increase the level of citizen awareness of these facilities, but achieving this requires the integration of neighboring administrative districts such that characteristics including transportation network and buildings are reflected in a comprehensive manner. This research therefore looks into Urban Network Analysis (UNA) as a means to investigate accessibility of cultural facilities. Use of UNA will make it possible to analyze the transportation network as well as building distribution, explained by building density, settled population, and other important building factors, in tandem, leading to the concentration of cultural facilities and the surrounding economic district being more properly reflected, and thus allowing for greater explanatory power in determining the level of accessibility. To test this, four target research districts were chosen from within the Gyeonggi Province and analyzed in terms of the accessibility of their everyday cultural facilities. Of the four districts of Gunpo, Anyang, Uiwang, and Gwacheon, accessibility of the first two districts, was found to be high, while accessibility was found to be relatively low for the latter two districts. This finding indicates that cultural facilities investments should be concentrated in the districts of Gunpo and Anyang.

  • Recently, to make game gotten out of negative perception of game addiction and gradually established as an immersion-centric and ositive and new game culture of the digital era from a culture perspective, the necessity of development of game composed of various materials has been emerging. In other words, the important part to make the environment of game industry which is growing into a higher value-added business expanded in a short space of time as the base culture together with the public in cultural aspects is the development of game material which enables more various objects to approach besides the development of material focused on profit. Above all things, it is the easily accessible material through fusion sith the diverse contents by using elements of interaction, function, system which game itself has. In this connection, this study suggested design approach process ti fuse the material of positive function into game and also proposed the development case ay each level.

  • South Korea is currently facing multiculturalism, appropriately demanding broadened view and access to the study of Unification, especially in terms of who should be the subject. In congruence, recent Unification Education studies are proposing values stressed in Multiculturalism to function as the core ground, upon which other traits and contents are to follow. Similarly, Christian Education field is also reflecting the recent trend, welcoming 'everyone' to participate in preparing reunification of Korean Peninsula. However, most studies consist of suggesting and introducing directions for new approaches, not so much of dealing with systems or guidelines for practical practices. Information provided in fragments can rather cause confusion in understanding the concept, and lack of specific guidelines can soon lead to poor performances. In this study, Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is introduced as a methodology to be examined, whether it could effectively embody and systemize the newly emerged Multicultural Christian Unification Education. Therefore, the purpose of this study is 1) to generalize the concept of Christian unification education introduced in the multicultural era and 2) examine whether UDL is suitable for uniformizing and spreading the Multicultural approach of Christian Unification Education. Specifically, this study highly focused on examining whether UDL is a suitable methodology to achieve the goal of Multicultural Christian unification education, while uniformizing the diversities within multicultural Christian Unification Education. Through a thorough research, it was proved that the purpose and characteristics of multicultural Christian unification education are similar to those of UDL in that both focus on accepting heterogeneity as something "different" rather than something "wrong." Also, it was found that the application of the theory and guidelines of UDL can effectively unify while respecting the diverse methodologies used in Multicultural Christian Education.

  • This research is an attempt to investigate cultural identity at the international level. Asia is one of the weakest communities in the world due to discrepancies in terms of political, economic, social and cultural aspects. Additionally, Asia has never been independent in communication flows since imperialist history until the Korean wave emerged at the turn of this century. The Korean wave reflects complex power embedded in postcolonial world in addition to cultural commonality among Asian audiences. I have conducted audience researches on Korean drama fandom in Japan and China. I adopt Lacanian psychoanalysis in order to interpret identity issues of Asian media audiences. Particularly, Deleuze and Guattari's theories are useful to scrutinize group identity of Asian community. Additionally, I refer to theories of nationalism.
