The purpose of this research is to explore the relationship between organizational cultural perception gap and organizational effectiveness. it has rarely been studied in the academia. The research of the organizational cultural perception gap provides entrepreneurs directions on how to manage a company. Since previous studies have been focused on cultural type or strength, this study aims to suggest managerial implication in detail by analyzing present-ideal gap. Furthermore, this study would discover how it is different according to a psychological mechanism. The empirical results of 134 employees showed that the organizational cultural perception gap (i.e. Clan) had a negative effect on job satisfaction and affective commitment. In order to reduce the negative effects of organizational cultural perception gap, it is necessary to reach an agreement with members on organizational culture, which is ideal for organizational level, and understanding the members' internal motivations is important for proper organizational management.

The purpose of this study is to examine how visitors' recognition on cultural tourism festivals influences festival satisfaction and festival effects and suggest plans for operating the festivals. To address the goal, this author conducted a survey to visitors of memorable Chungjang Festival, and 441 sheets were finally used for positive analysis. According to the analysis results, the factors of recognition on cultural tourism festivals were divided into those related to recognition on tourism and recognition on culture, and these recognitions influence festival satisfaction and festival effects. Based on the results, this researcher suggests that it is important for those operating the festivals to make efforts to enhance tourism convenience for visitors and also develop programs which can allow visitors to learn about the unique culture of the region closely.

This study aims to develop and validate Cultural Competence Scale for prospective social workers. The scale adopted three constructs of cultural competence, which include multicultural awareness, knowledge, and skills. It was made up with concrete episodes based on which respondents rate sets of competing statements relating to multicultural awareness, knowledge, and skills. The score of each item was calculated by subtracting each score of non-cultural awareness, knowledge, and skills from the corresponding score of cultural awareness, knowledge, and skills when cultural statements got higher scores than did non-cultural statements. Each score was summed up to make a total cultural competence score. Through preliminary and main test, 16 episodes and corresponding sets of statements were selected for the final version. The final scale showed satisfactory levels of reliability and validity. Based on the results, implications for the application and the further improvement of this scale were discussed.

The purpose of this study is to explore the process of multicultural perception change of university students who have participated in multicultural mentoring. From May to December of the year 2015, the researcher conducted continuous e-mail interviews as well as in-depth interviews with mentors who participated in multicultural mentoring at I university. The interview contents were transcribed and comparative analysis was done. The result of the study is as follows. The process of multicultural perception change of mentors were discovered to be change in stereotypes, prejudice and ideas on multiculture, difference detection and social desire. They realized that stereotypes and prejudice were the errors of generalization due to their ideas on multiculture which were developed through media. Through mentoring activities the mentors reflected on the inherent negative ideas on multiculture, thus changing their ideas and thoughts. Also, the difference detection acknowledged cultural diversity along with the understanding of the cultural environment of mentees. Social desire expressed their wish for the change of perception in the cultures of others along with the positive change of multicultural perception through mentees. Thus, it was discovered that multicultural mentoring activities are sufficient prerequisites to change the social perception of multiculture from personal interest.

The purpose of this study is to establish the social support system for social integration by analyzing the effect of multicultural experiences on multicultural perception and stereotype and the meditating effect of multicultural perception. The research result is summarized as follow : First, multicultural perception is differently influenced according to multicultural experiences. That is, multicultural experiences have found to have the positive effect on multicultural acceptance and the negative effect on rejection about other cultures or prejudice about other cultures. Second, the result which analyzed the effect of multicultural perception on stereotype has found that acceptance about other cultures doesn't have any effect on stereotype. However, it can be found that the prejudice and rejection about other cultures are verified to be the variables which have the positive effect on stereotype. Third, the result which analyzed the direct effect of multicultural experiences on stereotype and the indirect effect through multicultural perception has found that multicultural experiences don't have any direct effect on stereotype, but do have the indirect effect through multicultural perception. To resolve the problem that multicultural people in Korea suffer from difficulties especially with prejudice and discrimination, it is necessary to raise the cultural diversity in communities in Korea through cultivating multicultural awareness among non-multicultural people. In this vein, public libraries, as cultural exchange institutes, can affect multicultural awareness of the people. This study investigated how characteristics of public libraries and their local communities are related to the users' multicultural awareness. The study found that multicultural awareness of library users was significantly influenced by the characteristics of public libraries but not by the characteristics of communities. It is suggested that public libraries should consider cultural diversity on overall library services for their general users to support their multicultural awareness.

The purpose of this study is to compare perceptions toward multicultural adolescents' career problems between multicultural adolescents and parents with multicultural backgrounds and youth and parents in non-multicultural families and to discuss their differences. For this purpose, the data from 825 respondents were analyzed using correspondent analysis. The results follow as: first, multicultural adolescents tended to agree very much with the difficulties of interpersonal relations, distance from appearance, and economic difficulties while non-multicultural adolescents tended to disagree with. Second, both multicultural and non-multicultural adolescents disagreed with the confusion about identity as Koreans, but parents of non-multicultural adolescents showed a negative perception. Third, in terms of education and institutions, multicultural adolescents recognized the strong need for expanding career education opportunities for multicultural students, supporting employment, strengthening access to career information, and professional help for careers compared to non-multicultural adolescents.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the perceptions of multicultural education for pre-childhood educators in Korean and Chinese, and to explore the direction of multicultural education. The subjects of this study were Korean and Chinese college students enrolled in the Department of Early Childhood Education, and the t-test and chi-square test were conducted on the questionnaire. The results of the study were as follows: First, there was no significant difference in the two groups' interests in multiculturalism and their perceptions of multicultural children and their families, but there were some differences. Overall, Korean students were positive about multicultural children and families. Second, there was no significant difference between the two groups in the recognition of the necessity of multicultural education, but Korean students were more positive. Third, the need for multicultural education did not differ between the two groups. Through this study, it was found that in order to revitalize multicultural education, it should be made in the direction of improving multicultural efficacy with practice-oriented education rather than theory-based education.
