본고(本考)는 중국(中國) 길림성(吉林省) 집안(集安)에 위치(位置)한 광개토대왕릉비(廣開土大王陵碑)에 대하여 집안박물관(集安博物館) 부관장(副館長) 경철화(耿鐵華)가 연구발표(硏究發表)한 보고서(報告書)이다. 문화재연구소에서는 '92. 10. 11-10. 25까지 고구려문화유적(高句麗文化遺蹟) 보존상태(保存狀態) 등의 조사(調査)를 위해 관계직원(關係職員)이 중국(中國)에 출장(出張)하였다. 집안(集安)에서 광개토대왕릉비(廣開土大王陵碑)에 대한 조사(調査)를 실시(實施)하고 이와 관련된 중요(重要)한 자료(資料)가 입수(入手)되어 현지에서 연변대학 고적조사연구소와 함께 번역문을 작성하였는데 이를 원문(原文)과 함께 소개(紹介)하고자 한다.

This article attenpts to analyze, from the perspective of post-colonialism, 'Goemul'(English title, The Host), the Korean blockbuster movie that scored the greatest box-office success in the history of the Korean cinema. As Goemul eagerly copies the monster movie, a representative genre of Hollywood movies, it has close affinity with Hollywood blockbuster movie in many repects. At the same time, however, it also contains a resistance discourse that criticizes and mocks colonial of Korean society under American influences. This movie successfully carries out a post-colonial cultural translation that transforms mimicry into resistance to colonialsim. Hence, this artcle focuses on how Goemul borrows many aspects of the Hollywood monster movie but goes beyond the simple copying of it to reach post-colonial signification subverting the existing cultural regime.

Major difficulties in the style selection,which guarantees the synthesis of good-styled natural expressions under the PIOVT MT system, are an absence of surface-level extra-information in the languageinde-pendent intermediate representation and the language-specific style of expressions due to cultural differences.This paper describes an attempt on the style selection with capabilities of guaranteeing more natural Korean expressions,which includes pragmatic and stylistic decision on target voice genertaion under heavy passive constraints,stylistic changes of sentence-structures,and meaning-supplementation of function words with content words.

MTEBI는 미국에서 초등 예비 교사들의 수학 교수 효능감을 측정하는데 자주 이용되는 척도이다. 이 연구의 목적은 MTEBI를 한국의 중등 예비 교사들에게 사용하는 것이 적합한지를 탐색하는 것이었다. 이를 위하여, 미국에 있는 대학원에 다니며 영어와 국어 둘 다 말할 수 있는 박사 학생 두 명이 MTEBI를 브리슬린의 이론대로 국문으로 번역하였고, 그 뒤에 한국에 있는 다수의 수학 교사 교육자들이 번역된 척도를 면밀하게 검토하였다. 한글판 척도를 먼저 작은 표본에서 초벌 실험하였는데, 두 개 문항이 도구의 신뢰도와 타당도를 현저하게 떨어뜨렸다. 본 연구에서는 이 두 개의 유용하지 못한 문항을 대신할 두 개 문항을 더한 23개 문항으로 구성된 척도에 대하여 정규성, 신뢰도, 요인 타당도 등을 658명의 표본에서 검사하였다. 초벌 연구에서 발견된 두 개의 유효하지 않는 문항은 본 연구에서도 역시 그와 같아서, 그 두 문항은 척도에서 제거되었다. 최종적으로 얻어진 21 문항 척도는 한국의 예비 수학 교사들의 수학 교수 효능감을 측정하는데 적합한 척도이다. 앞으로, MTEBI 한글판을 이용하여 한국에서 교사 효능감에 대한 연구가 활발하게 일어나기를 기대한다.

Of the 2,593 children picture books published in Korea between 2001 and 2003, 46% were Korean in origin, while 53.9% were Korean translations of books originally in English, Japanese, French, or German. This study compared 45 of the translations with the originals. Of these, 49.2% had contents not included in the originals, and 31.1 % had omitted contents. More over, 7.6% of the Korean versions were different in punctuation codes and signs, and 6.7% were different from originals in length of sentences. Most of the books were on general or global issues rather than culture-bound. However, among the English books, there were more than 20 cases different from Korean culture in person's names, external appearance, food, and/or clothing.

South Korean users of second language have been often heard such assessments as "you don't' have confidence" and "your writing is good, but your speech is poor." Some scholars have pointed out the teaching method as the cause. In other countries, the mainstreamargument is that students can have practical language experience in a more liberal atmosphere through small group-oriented classes rather than through teacher-centered whole-group activities in foreign language curriculums. Many teachers are using various learning tools or a combination of different teaching methods to minimize the shortcomings of the grammar translation method. However, unlike other studies, the present study focuses on improving the grammar translation teaching method itself.

In this paper, I tried to analyse the recent trend of Korean translation of Chinese novels. I categorized the korean translation into several types, and tried to reveal the meaning of the "Hiding of Chinese element" phenomenon that has recently emerged in the translation of Internet novels. KOCM has been translating quite a fewChinese Internet novels. One of the publisher's translations, , which has gained considerable popularity in Korea, will be a focus of the analysis. The localization strategy of is quite damaging to the original work. At the same time, however, it also makes it easier for readers to consume novels without experiencing cultural discounts. Therefore, could be considered as a experiment to overcome the cultural gap between the two countries.

Multicultural family members have difficulty in educating their children due to language differences. In order to solve these difficulties, it is necessary to provide smart translation services that enable them easily and quickly access real-life vocabularies. However, the current automatic translation technology is being developed in dominant languages such as English, Chinese, and Japanese. There are also limitations to translating special-purpose terms such as documents of schools and instructions of public institutions. In this study, we propose a real-time automatic word translation service for multicultural family members who understand beginner level Korean. The service automatically analyzes the semantics of each word in the Korean sentences and provides a word-by-word translation. This study includes semantic analysis research for Korean language, building multilingual translation knowledge, and fusion study of language education. We evaluated the word translation service for migrant women from Vietnam and Japan and obtained meaningful evaluation results.

본 연구에서는 추상적 사고를 가능하게 해주는 개념은유 표현의 서술어를 분석하여, 추상개념의 근원영역을 찾는 알고리즘을 HowNet 지식 시스템을 이용하여 제안하고자 한다. 실제로 추상개념 '문화' 가 쓰인 242개의 은유 표현 용례 문장을 가지고 제안된 알고리즘으로 근원영역을 찾고. 이를 토대로. 목표영역 '문화' 의 근원영역이 추론기에 의하여 자동적으로 추론되는 HowNet 기반 은유 온톨로지의 구축 방안을 제시하고자 한다. 또한, 한국어 '문화' 와 영어표현 'Culture'의 근원영역 비교를 통하여 구축된 온톨로지를 영어 번역 및 작문에 어떻게 활용할 수 있는지 보이고자 한다.

최근 네덜란드의 건축은 세계 건축계에서 두각을 나타내고 있으며, 현대 건축사에 일 획을 긋는 등 중요한 역할을 하고 있다. 특히 우리에게 널리 알려진 Rem Koolhaas나 MVRDV등은 국내의 프로젝트에도 적극적으로 참여하여 그들의 진가를 잘 보여주고 있다. 이런 네덜란드 건축계와의 건축문화교류를 통해 그들이 일궈놓을 수 있는 독창성과 건축문화의 배경을 이해하고 우리의 건축문화를 위한 초석을 놓고저, 우리 협회는 지난 8월에 3명의 대표단을 보내 사전 조사를 시행한 바 있다. 그결과, Berlage Institute와 네덜란드 건축문화원과는 공감이 갈수 있는 건축적 이슈들을 국제토론의 장으로 이끌어 내는데 공조하기로 합의하고, 이의 후속 작업으로 Berlage Institute의 학장인 Rob Doctor교수와 네덜란드 건축문화원(Netherlands Architecture Institute, NAI)의 원장인 Ole Bouman 이 네덜란드의 건축정책을 소개하는 글을 게재하기로 했다. 이는 한국 건축사로서 현재 네덜란드에 유학중인 이은경씨의 도움에 의해 준비 되었고, 번역까지 도움을 주었다. 이은경씨의 도움에 진심으로 감사드린다.
