Current Status of Community Information Services in Regional Central Libraries (지역대표도서관의 커뮤니티 정보서비스 운영 현황과 과제)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyse the characteristics and limitations of community information services and to explore an activation strategies. Included in this study are as follows: (1) investigate what is an appropriate representative term through the history of terminology related to community information services, (2) examine how community information services are operated in the regional central libraries from the librarian's perspective, (3) suggest the directions of community information services. The data were collected literature studies and interview with 20 librarians in regional central libraries.

Metaliteracy Research Trends Analysis: Focused on the Difference from Information Literacy (메타리터러시 연구동향 분석 - 정보 리터러시와의 차이를 중심으로 -)

  • Metaliteracy is a new framework that reframes information literacy. Metaliteracy is distinguished from information literacy through the intruduction of postmodernism, social constructivism and metacognition. However it has been not examined whether metaliteracy studies reflect the conceptual differences. Therefore, The purpose of the study is to observe research trends of metaliteracy on the difference from information literacy. In the study, literature reviews were conducted, and frequency analysis and knowledge network analysis(co-occurrence and bibliographic coupling) were conducted for 80 metaliteracy studies. The results of the study are as follows. As a result of co-occurrence analysis, metacognition(frequency 1st) and skills(degree centrality 1st, closeness centrality 1st, betweenness centrality 1st) appeared. Since metaliteracy criticizes skill-based information literacy, the result suggests that the concepts of information literacy and metaliteracy are mixed. On the other hand, as a result of bibliographic coupling analysis, studies with high bibliographic coupling explain the difference between information literacy and metaliteracy through metacognition.

The guideline and outcome about powered wheelchair use for children with disabilities (장애아동을 대상으로 한 전동휠체어 적용 지침 및 성과)

  • Purose : This study was to find the factors of guideline and expressing outcome about powered wheelchair use for children with disabilities. Method : The chosen studies were 38 published in Korea or abroad from 2000 to 2014, and the key research is 2 review articles among them. And 19 studies were used by first search and 2 review articles to find outcome factors and categorize followed ICF terminology. Moreover, 2 studies were analysed to find the guidelines about powered wheelchair use for children with disabilities. Result : All reviewed researches were published abroad. These suggested that powered wheelchair use for children with disabilities didn't affect delayed development but many advantages. And they recommended checking information about the guideline, child, parents and environmental support befor applying the powered wheelchair to children with disabilities. Also, they usually used participation level to express outcome about powered mobility use. Conclusion : The power wheelchair was useful means of mobility for children who were delayed movement, and it was important strategy to apply the powered wheelchair early for promote children's development and participation normally. Finally, professionals needed to intervene contextual approaches concerning children's families and environment, also institutional and social effort.

A Systematic Review on the Domestic Research of Library Anxiety (국내 도서관 불안 연구에 관한 체계적 문헌고찰)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide basic data for future library anxiety research in Korea that can contribute to resolving library anxiety by examining research trends on the Library Anxiety. For the purpose, a systematic review was selected to derive answers to research questions by examining and analyzing the trends of preceding researches, and the final 23 studies according to the PRISMA procedure were designated as analysis targets. As a result, in the research topics, there were 12 studies (52.2%) measured library anxiety by group, 18 studies (78.0%) were applied research in the type of research. and in the research methods, quantiative research was mainly used in 18 studies (82.6%). Through the analysis results, it suggests furthur research directions for domestic library anxiety.

A Study on the Social Implications of Data Literacy for the Post-pandemic Era and the Direction of Library Services (포스트 팬데믹 시대 데이터 리터러시의 사회적 함의와 도서관 서비스 방향에 대한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the changes in human information behavior brought about by the pandemic situation. This study also examines the social context of data literacy as lifelong education. In addition, it was attempted to understand the changed environment and propose library services in the post-pandemic era based on predicted trends. In order to do this, two phenomena that are currently striking our society, datafication and the pandemic, were reviewed in general, and studies related to library information services in response to the pandemic were examined. Based on this, the social meaning of data literacy in the pandemic era was reconfirmed and the environmental changes faced by libraries were examined based on 20 trends suggested by IFLA. Through this process, the study was concluded by suggesting the implementation of data literacy and the direction of library services.

An Analysis of Trends in Natural Language Processing Research in the Field of Science Education (과학교육 분야 자연어 처리 기법의 연구동향 분석)

  • This study aimed to examine research trends related to Natural Language Processing (NLP) in science education by analyzing 37 domestic and international documents that utilized NLP techniques in the field of science education from 2011 to September 2023. In particular, the study systematically analyzed the content, focusing on the main application areas of NLP techniques in science education, the role of teachers when utilizing NLP techniques, and a comparison of domestic and international perspectives. The analysis results are as follows: Firstly, it was confirmed that NLP techniques are significantly utilized in formative assessment, automatic scoring, literature review and classification, and pattern extraction in science education. Utilizing NLP in formative assessment allows for real-time analysis of students' learning processes and comprehension, reducing the burden on teachers' lessons and providing accurate, effective feedback to students. In automatic scoring, it contributes to the rapid and precise evaluation of students' responses. In literature review and classification using NLP, it helps to effectively analyze the topics and trends of research related to science education and student reports. It also helps to set future research directions. Utilizing NLP techniques in pattern extraction allows for effective analysis of commonalities or patterns in students' thoughts and responses. Secondly, the introduction of NLP techniques in science education has expanded the role of teachers from mere transmitters of knowledge to leaders who support and facilitate students' learning, requiring teachers to continuously develop their expertise. Thirdly, as domestic research on NLP is focused on literature review and classification, it is necessary to create an environment conducive to the easy collection of text data to diversify NLP research in Korea. Based on these analysis results, the study discussed ways to utilize NLP techniques in science education.

A Study on the Analysis of Results on 'Contracting Out' of Public Library Services in Korea (우리나라 공공도서관 민간위탁의 성과 분석에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the performance of contracting out public libraries. in order to contribute to the promotion of their effective operation in Korea. Three public libraries which are currently operated by 'contracting out' are selected to be reviewed for this study. Their performance are analyzed by means of literature search, questionnaires, and on-the-spot-survey. Investigated in detail are the following issues: First, the need for and background of 'contracting out' public library services, and their present state in Korea: Second. the pros and cons of 'contracting out' public library services; Third, the outcomes of public library services which have been currently contracted out. Finally, based on the aforementioned findings, a future model of 'contracting out' public library services is proposed, Also suggested are the strategies for furthering the effective management of public libraries.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a model of a liaison training program for academic librarians in Korea. The liaison training program model has been developed based upon the literature review and surveys about liaison training practices in foreign countries Expert interviews and case analyses were conducted to demonstrated its feasibility and applicability. This study found that this model identifies core competencies of academic liaison librarians and it helped developing guidelines by the level of each task: basic and advanced exercises, references, and worksheets.

사내기업가정신이 조직몰입에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구: 우리나라 대기업 구성원을 중심으로

  • 이 연구의 목적은 우리나라 대기업 구성원의 사내기업가정신이 조직 몰입에 미치는 영향을 살펴보는데 있다. 이 목적을 달성하기 위하여 업종별 대표기업 3사의 구성원들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하며, 이를 토대로 상관관계 존재여부에 대한 분석 작업을 하고자 한다. 최근 IT 대기업 중심으로 스타트업의 혁신문화를 회사 내부로 유입시키려는 노력들이 급속히 증가하는 상황에서, 사내 기업가정신이 기업내부 구성원의 조직몰입에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석하는 것은 시의 적절한 연구라고 판단한다. 조직몰입에 대한 연구는 최근 심리학뿐만 아니라, 경영학적 범위에서도 급속하게 확대되고 있다. 기업의 지속성장을 위한 전제조건은 조직구성원의 조직몰입을 통해 지속적인 경쟁우위를 확보할 수 있는 제품 및 서비스를 경쟁력을 제고시키는 것이다. 이를 위해 기업은 기존에 검증된 조직몰입의 선행변수에 대한 과감하고 지속적인 관리와 함께 새로운 선행변수에 대한 발굴을 시도하고 있다. 확인된 시장과 기업의 현실적 니즈에 근거하여, 본 연구는 사내기업가정신과 조직몰입간의 관계에 집중하였다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 본 연구는 선행연구를 기초로 실증연구를 실시하였다. 문헌적인 연구는 선행연구를 개관하여 기업가정신의 각 구성요소와 조직 및 직무몰입에 관련된 국내외 발표된 논문과 저서들을 통하여 이론적인 배경을 검토하고 최근의 연구동향을 살펴보았다. 문헌연구로는 사내기업가정신과 조직몰입의 개념을 정리하고 구성요인을 고찰하였다. 실증연구는 삼성전자, SK텔레콤, 포스코의 현재 재직중인 구성원을 대상으로 설문을 진행할 예정이다. 설문결과에 대한 통계적 검증을 통해 각각의 구성요소의 유의성과 상관관계를 파악하고자 한다.

An Experimental Study on Feature Ranking Schemes for Text Classification (텍스트 분류를 위한 자질 순위화 기법에 관한 연구)

  • This study specifically reviewed the performance of the ranking schemes as an efficient feature selection method for text classification. Until now, feature ranking schemes are mostly based on document frequency, and relatively few cases have used the term frequency. Therefore, the performance of single ranking metrics using term frequency and document frequency individually was examined as a feature selection method for text classification, and then the performance of combination ranking schemes using both was reviewed. Specifically, a classification experiment was conducted in an environment using two data sets (Reuters-21578, 20NG) and five classifiers (SVM, NB, ROC, TRA, RNN), and to secure the reliability of the results, 5-Fold cross-validation and t-test were applied. As a result, as a single ranking scheme, the document frequency-based single ranking metric (chi) showed good performance overall. In addition, it was found that there was no significant difference between the highest-performance single ranking and the combination ranking schemes. Therefore, in an environment where sufficient learning documents can be secured in text classification, it is more efficient to use a single ranking metric (chi) based on document frequency as a feature selection method.
