The purpose of this study was to propose the improvements for high quality of National Library of Korea (NLK) Subject Headings List which was developed as a subject access tool in 2002. For this study, literature review, case study for subject headings lists of national libraries, and data analysis of headings and relationships were performed. Several problems were found as follows: inconsistency of subject headings descriptions, unclear and unnecessary relationships among headings, inconsistency of hierarchical relationships, lack of currency, incorrectness of classification numbers, duplication of newly requested terms, and assignment of non-preferred and unregistered terms in bibliographic records. Focusing on these problems, modifications of subject headings and bibliographic records, installation and operation of an review committee on subject headings, and supplementation of a manual were suggested to improve NLK Subject Headings List.

This study divided the keyword sets searched from LISTA database focusing on the overseas open access fields into two types (controlled keywords and uncontrolled keywords), and examined the results of performing an intellectual structure analysis based on profiling for the each keyword type. In addition, these results were compared with those of an intellectual structural analysis based on co-word analysis. Through this, I tried to investigate whether similar results were derived from profiling, another method of intellectual structure analysis, and to examine the differences between co-word analysis and profiling results. As a result, there was a similar difference to the co-word analysis in the results of intellectual structure analysis based on profiling for each of the two keyword types. Also, there were also noticeable differences between the results of intellectual structural analysis based on profiling and co-word analysis. Therefore, intellectual structure analysis using keywords should consider the characteristics of each keyword type according to the research purpose, and better results can be expected to be used based on profiling than co-word analysis to more clearly understand research trends in a specific field.

This study suggested a plan to convert the modern literary data service of the National Library of Korea into linked data-based services. This is not to simply convert the modern literary data service into linked data, which is the current technological trend. This is to create high-quality source data capable of automated machine processing with continuous connection with various external data and information sources in the long term. To this end, in order to revitalize the service of modern literature and to solve the efficient data linkage with related institutions, various overseas library and bibliographic service cases that adopted linked data were first reviewed to draw implications. In addition, based on the reviewed implications, the plan to reorganize the modern literary service in terms of data management, system management, and user service was described in detail.

The increasing use of various types of data to capture travel behavior relatively discredits the utility of traditional national-scale household travel surveys. However, the surveys are still arguably meaningful in their clarification of purposes and means of travel. Accordingly, this study reviews travel survey cases and related literature, to identify the status of the Korean National Household Travel Survey (KNHTS). It discusses improving the KNHTS's survey method, focusing on its long investigation cycle, short survey period, reduction in sample size, and questionnaire format biased toward mandatory travel. To address these issues, this study suggests reducing the survey cycle, conducting a year-round survey, combining weekday and weekend surveys, and specifying items on nonmandatory travel. These practical suggestions duly consider the validity and reliability of the KNHTS within budget constraints and its applicability to related fields, such as tourism, public health, and sociology.

The purpose of this study is to understand the changes in human information behavior brought about by the pandemic situation. This study also examines the social context of data literacy as lifelong education. In addition, it was attempted to understand the changed environment and propose library services in the post-pandemic era based on predicted trends. In order to do this, two phenomena that are currently striking our society, datafication and the pandemic, were reviewed in general, and studies related to library information services in response to the pandemic were examined. Based on this, the social meaning of data literacy in the pandemic era was reconfirmed and the environmental changes faced by libraries were examined based on 20 trends suggested by IFLA. Through this process, the study was concluded by suggesting the implementation of data literacy and the direction of library services.

It is necessary to assess wood quality and strength of the clear specimens from used members in old wooden structures for the reuse of old members on the same structure or a new structure. Wood species classification by microscope observation of each wood member that was used in truss cord and temple, and several physical and strength tests by the specification of present KS standards were conducted to compare with some references. From the comparison of strengths with references, Korean larch gives relatively better wood quality and mechanical properties than other wood species. No significant deterioration of cell wall was found by microscopic observation for the sound wood part that was selected visually. Tensile specimens with 3 mm in thickness on the middle span showed greater strength than 5 mm thick specimens, which explains that dimension of tensile specimen should be examined for evaluating precise tensile strength properties. Other tests, compression, shear, and bending, are adoptable for each strength properties. Test methods for the evaluation of basic strengths and fastener connections for old wood species should be further examined.

With the rapid dissemination of Internet and the fast development of IT technology. utilization and circulation of video files through Internet has been widely popularized. To keep playing a central role in information circulation in this ever-changing environment, libraries should pay attention to the circulation of video content, as it emerges to be an important type information resource. In this context, this paper examines the issues surrounding the development of the video content circulation system, while suggesting foundational knowledge required for the development of the system. First, the author reviews the current state of video content utilization and circulation on the internet and examines the related technical developments. Then, the author explains each component of the video content circulation system, while discussing the issues to be considered in the practical implementation of the system. The paper will provide practical guidelines for the librarians in their investigation and/or implementation of the video content circulation service and system.

Legal deposit is a system that a person who publishes in the country a work shall deposit a certain copies of publications in designated libraries or institutions in order to preserve and transfer national knowledge and culture heritage. Under "Libraries Act" and "National Assembly Library Act", depositors shall present books to the Library and the Library shall properly compensate him/her for such copies presented. This study focuses on presentation and proper compensation of books. This study has reviewed laws and regulations about them in major countries and our country, and analyzed the current status and some problems of our country. This study has analyzed the constitutionality of legal deposit, the refusal of copies presented, and the meaning of proper compensation through analyzing cases on legal deposit. Based on these analyses, it has proposed the modification of regulations on presentation and proper compensation of books, the establishment of specific rules on proper compensation, and the penalties on unfair presentation.

A review regarding indicators used in Korean research is needed to develop a diagnostic marker system for Korean children with speech sound disorders (SSD). This literature review examined the research conducted to reveal the characteristics of children with SSD of unknown origin in Korea. The researchers in Korea used diverse variables as indicators to identify the natures of children with SSD. These included indicators related to external characteristics of speech sound and comorbid features other than external aspects of speech sound. The attention has been focused on specific indicators so far. This result implies that some indicators may still require closer study in various aspects due to their influence, and some may require more attention due to the limited number of research. This article argues that more research is necessary to comprehensively describe the unique characteristics of children with SSD of unknown origin and suggests a direction for future research regarding diagnostic markers and subtype classification of SSD. It also proposes potential diagnostic markers and a set of assessments for the subtype classification of SSD.

The purpose of this study was to make a database model for financial feasibility study of buildings offered for sale which is helpful for improvement of business ability in construction and confidence of a project from a related participant. At first, we studied several thesis and met some professionalist which work for construction and did a first survey for examining latest situation of a feasibility study in construction. As a result, even though feasibility study is important, factors for information management wasn't systemized. So we did a second survey for fixing Factors of the database model. The database model was composed of the factors that we got from the second survey. ER(Entity-Relationship) analysis was used to making it. We expect thar we can get more reasonable information to study financial feasibility study and can diminish risks of project through the database model. So the result of this study was to make a database model for more reasonable financial feasibility study of building offered for sale.
