  • Impaired naming difficulty is common in normal elderly as well as in patients with neurological impairment. The 60-item Korean version-Boston Naming Test(K-BNT) is one of the most commonly used test for measuring confrontational naming ability. However, age-related cognitive decline may make the elderly difficult concentrating during the 60-item test, therefore, item reduction of the K-BNT would improve test validity and reliability. Thus, the purpose of this study was to develop a short form of the K-BNT based on Item Response Theory(IRT). Considering item-fit index, sex factor, and item difficulty through Rasch analysis, the 15-item K-BNT(i.e., K-BNT-15) was developed. Via administration of the K-BNT-15, we observed age-related decline in naming ability and significantly different performance between the normal elderly and patients with mild cognitive impairment. This study demonstrates the utility of IRT for developing a short-form language evaluation tool. The K-BNT-15 can be effective as a language screening tool to differentiate between normal aging and pathological diseases.

  • This study is aimed to develop and validate the clinical competence scale of occupational therapy student. The development of clinical competence scale analyzed the definition of clinical performance and previous studies. preliminary examinations were conducted on 203 occupational therapy departments in 3rd and 4th grade to verify item analysis and job validity. After exploratory factor analysis, eight factors of professional consciousness, 11 items of occupational therapy evaluation factors, 4 items of occupational therapy intervention factors, and 4 items of communication factors were extracted into a total of 27 factors. As a result of verifying the reliability of each factor through the internal consistency coefficient Cronbach's α, it was found to be .87~.94 and the overall reliability was .96. The correlation between the total score and the factors of the clinical competence scale was statistically significant. Through the confirmatory factor analysis, the model fit test of the factor structure for 27 items of 4 factors (χ2=.76, df = .31, CFI = .81, TLI = .80, RMSEA = .79) is considered acceptable. Through this study, The clinical competence scale is a valid and reliable scale that can be useful for objectively assessing.

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the validation of the Korean-type destructive leadership scale in order to activate the leadership research of local police manager in Korea. For the purpose of this study, the entire police officer(under the rank of sergeant) working at the Gyeongnam Provincial Police Agency in 2017 was set up as the population. A proportional allocation sampling was used for the sampling, and the allocation standard was set up in the workplace, department, rank, and sex. Data collection was conducted from April 1, 2017 to April 30, 2017, for a total of 500 respondents, and 433 were finally used for actual analysis. In the study, reliability and validity of destructive leadership scale were verified through reliability analysis, exploratory factor analysis, and confirmatory factor analysis. As a result, the destructive leadership scale of Korean local police manager showed a high cronbach' ${\alpha}$ coefficient of 0.948 for the questionnaire related load and 0.974 in the questionnaire related organization, but, the model fit of confirmatory factor analysis was low. Therefore, through additional exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis, we reconstructed 6 questionnaires by deleting 4 questionnaires among the load-related items. On the other hand, the organization-related items were verified to be appropriate for all of the existing 10 items, and the destructive leadership scale of Korean local police manager was finally reconstructed into 16 items with 2 factors. This study also confirmed that the above reconstruction model is statistically suitable. The destructive leadership scale of Korean local police manager can be used as the basic data of leadership research to be conducted in the future.

  • The purposes of this study were to develop an instrument to measure high school students' systems thinking and to validate the scale. The scale of systems thinking was made up for 5 factors - systems thinking, mental model, shared vision, personal mastery, and team learning through analyses of related literature. Six items per factor were constructed and the scale consisted of a total of 30 items for the pretest. After exploratory factor analysis, the number of total items was reduced to 20 items. For the main test, 280 students were sampled from high school and analyzed valid cases were 260 students. The finding of the exploratory factor analysis indicated 5 factors in the model, and 4 items per single factor. The result of confirmatory factor analysis was generally appropriate and acceptable (5 factor model: $x^2/df$=1.275, TLI=.946, CFI=.959, RMSEA=.033). The reliability for 20 items turned out to be reliable because the Cronbach's alphas were .840 and .604~.723 per each factor. This study should be expanded to various school levels and should be standardized for further research. The subsequent studies regarding diverse learning program development and implementation and the verification on the students' impact within the developed program can be recommended.
