Automatic Question Generation for Korean Word Learning System (한국어 어휘학습시스템을 위한 자동 문제 생성)

  • 본고는 한국어 교육방식의 하나라고 할 수 있는 한국어 어휘를 대상으로 한문제 출제 방식에서 문제 은행식 출제 방식이 갖고 있는 여러 가지 문제점을 해소할 수 있는 하나의 방법으로서 한국어 어휘 학습 시스템을 위한 자동문제 생성 기술을 제시한다. 먼저 기존 한국어 어휘 문제의 문항 분석 결과를 바탕으로 8가지 어휘력 평가 유형 및 각 유형별 자동 문제 생성 패턴을 구축하고, 한국어 어휘에 대한 풍부한 정보를 담고 있는 국어사전을 기반으로 한 자동 한국어 어휘 문제 생성 기술을 제시한다.

  • 인터넷의 빠른 보급으로 인해 사이버 교육 사이트가 늘어나고 있다. 사이버 교육의 장점은 언제 어디서나 손쉽게 인터넷 사이트에 접속하여 교육을 받을 수 있다는 점이다. 그러나, 사이버 교육에는 해결해야 할 문제점들이 있는바, 그 문제점 중의 하나는 학생의 수학 능력을 평가하는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 출제자가 컴퓨터로 입력한 문제에 대한 정보와 출제 기준을 구문분석하고, 정해진 형식에 맞추어 서버를 통해 저장해둠으로써 각각의 학습자가 편리한 시간에 통신에 접속하여 응시할 때마다, 출제자가 학습자에게 요구하는 평가형식으로 저장된 문제정보를 불러와서, 매번 다른 유형의 문제들을 화면상에 출력시킨다. 어떤 경우에도 새로운 문제 유형으로 시험을 공정하고 효과적으로 평가할 수 있도록 구현되어졌다. 시험평가부에서 시험문제에 대한 해설을 덧붙여 시험후의 학습 효과를 이룰수 있도록 했다.

Children's Proportional Reasoning on Problem Type of Proportion according to Ill-Structured Degree (비(非)구조화된 정도에 따른 비례 문제 유형에서 나타난 초등학생의 비례추론에 관한 연구)

  • Proportional reasoning is considered as a difficult concept to most elementary school students and might be connect to functional thinking, algebraic thinking, and mathematical thinking later. The purpose of this study is to analyze the sixth graders' development level of proportional reasoning so that children's problem solving processes on different proportional problem items were investigated in a way how the problem type of proportion and the degree of ill-structured affect to their levels. Results showed that the greater part of participants solved problems on the level of proportional reasoning and various development levels according to type of problem. In addition, they showed highly the level of transition and proportional reasoning on missing value problems rather than numerical comparison problems.

  • Many learning methods are recently being proposed for web-based remote education and a method commonly applied to web-based learning is learning through questions. In the existing methods, the difficulty of questions is chosen by learners in accordance with their level or questions are selected dynamically. As these methods are simply based on difference among questions presented, however, it is hardly possible for learners to study according to their abilities. To solve the problem, we adjusted the difficulty of questions presented based on information on individuals' weak points for different types of questions. Under the system individuals can learn by applying information on their abilities with regard to the type and difficulty of questions repeatedly, so the system can provide more effective distance learning. To overcome space restrictions in learning, also, we design and implement a mobile study system on the top of PDA platforms.

A Study on the Characteristics of Adult Suicide and Suicidal Type (성인 자살의 특성과 자살유형에 관한 연구)

  • There are less studies on the adult suicide even though it's steep increase and negative effect on person itself, family and society. The purpose of the present study was to investigate factors that influence on the adult suicide and to categorize it. Using a case-study approach, a total of 61 cases were analyzed. Specifically, on the basis of the stress-vulnerability model, I scrutinized vulnerability factors(classified personal, family-environment, and social-environment factors) and precipitating events(classified personal, interpersonal events) influencing on the adult suicide. As the results of this study, adult suicide classified into 3 types, that is, 'risk type suicide', 'event-response type suicide', 'complex type'. And then I discussed the characteristics of the suicidal types and the method for reduction of adult suicide.

Undergraduates' Response Pattern on the Problem-Solving-Type General Chemistry Laboratory (문제해결형 일반화학 실험에서 나타나는 대학생의 반응유형)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate undergraduates' characteristics of problem-solving process through analysis of the response patterns on problem-solving laboratory. For this purpose, 18 freshmen taking a problem-solving-type general chemistry laboratory had been interviewed for the analysis of the characteristics of problem-solving process. According to the results, the students' responses have been classified into five types; trying to solve problems using new factors, trying to solve problems by finding missing factors in manual, recognizing problem-situations but just repeating the given process, not recognizing problem-situations but trying to solve doubts generated during execution, satisfying about results, and taking no further action. These results can be used as materials to suggest the role model of the students' laboratory execution and to look back on each students' execution.

  • This paper analyzed contents related to problem solving in the 7th elementary mathematics curriculum in conjunction with main changes in the next curriculum under discussion. This paper then provided detailed analyses of textbooks and workbooks in terms of principal contents, problem solving strategies, content areas, and problem types in order to look closely at how such instructional materials would put the vision of the curriculum into action. It is expected that many issues and suggestions stemming from the analyses will serve basic information to develop next curriculum and its concomitant instructional materials in a way to fostering students' problem solving ability.

The effect of types of test information on learning performance in the e-Learning contents (e-러닝 컨텐츠에서 문제풀이 정보의 제시유형에 따른 성과 차이 분석)

  • There are significant changes are in education field: the paradigm shift from teacher-centered and text-oriented learning to learner-centered and multimedia-oriented learning. Many researchers have proposed that the e-learning contents is one of the most important factors on e-learning performance. This study analyzes the effect of types of test information on learning performance in e-learning contents. The results show that the interaction effect between types and gender influences the comprehension of learning; the female prefers to the feedback and narrative type but the male prefer to the narrative type. The narrative type showed the highest score on the comprehension and satisfaction of learning among three different types. Also, the main effect of gender difference had no effect on e-learning performance.
