Real time Interactive Distance Education and Telemedicine System using a Wireless LAN (무선 LAN을 이용한 실시간 상호작용 원격교육 및 원격진료시스템)

  • 본 논문은 열린대학(및 열린병원) 구현을 위한 캠퍼스내(종합병원내)에서의 무선 LAN을 이용한 멀티미디어 원격교육(및 원격진료) 시스템 구현에 관한 연구이다. 본 시스템은 정보통신 기술과 멀티미디어 기술이 접목되어 개발된 시스템이다. 또한 본 시스템은 성균관대학교의 원격교육시스템을 확장한 개념이기도 하다. 또한 본 원격교육 시스템은 멀티미디어 미들웨어에 의해 실시간 상호참여형 환경과 IP multicasting을 제공하고 있다.본 시스템은 캠퍼스 내에서 AP(Access Point)을 사용한 무선 LAN과 캠퍼스와 캠퍼스 사이의 T1/E1 네트워크로 구성되어 있다. 이것은 로밍지역을 해결하기 위한 handoff와 중재를 위한 다중 브릿지을 사용함으로써 구현이 가능하다. Abstract In this paper, we propose a multimedia distance education system(or telemedicine) using a wireless LAN for an inner campus university/hospital, which is intended to implement an open university. This system is implemented by a high technology of multimedia and information communication software. Also, this system is an enhanced and expanded system of the conventional distance education of SKKU(Sung Kyun Kwan University). The structure of this system consists of a T1/E1 network(information super high way) between campuses and wireless LAN using the AP(Access Pointer) inner campus. It will be able to use a use multiple bridge for mediation and hand off to solve roaming areas. This distance education system supports a real-time collaboration environment and IP multicasting by multimedia middleware for collaboration.

  • Recent technological advances in utilization and generalization of Internet have overcome some of the limitations of remote robot control range and real-time monitoring system. However, It needs Embedded system with control protocol or hardware which has avility to port the micro realtime operating system in robot control system communicate with remote controlled robot, because those system use the wireless LAM or Bluetooth as a network media. In this paper, we design and implement the wireless MODEM protocol and install it to the server system. Also, we implement a client system could control the remote robot through the server and we assure that this protocol and client/server system ate suitable for small size remote control system based on Internet.

  • The remote control system, in which the remote control server and the actuator are connected and operated through a wireless network, has a great potential risk as well as its convenience. The control commands can be lost because of unreliable wireless channels. The intelligent remote control system is a system that adds a function to infer a control command to the actuator to operate even if the control command is not received. In this paper, we implemented an intelligent remote control system testbed and confirmed the problems that could occur in the remote control system through experiments and verified that the intelligent remote control system solves the problem. The intelligent remote control system can achieve the performance that can be achieved when general remote control system has high communication overhead with less communication overhead.

  • It has been increasing that the use of Mobile Internet these days. And the demand of user is changing from the text based services to multimedia based data services like pictures, sounds and streaming videos in Mobile Internet. In this paper, It is proposed a remote monitoring system that .an transfer the video data through WAP(Wireless Application protocol) based Mobile Internet used generally in anywhere. And this system is a low-cost efficient system compared with a existing high-cost Internet Camera system, using video module connected to Internet directly and PC-based server. In this paper, It is explained a design and implementation of such WAP-based remote monitoring system.

  • Existing web-based system management software solutions show some limitations in time and space. Moreover, they possess such as shortcomings unreliable error message announcements and difficulties with real-time assistance suppers and emergency measures. In order to solve these deficiencies, Wireless Remote Control System was designed and implemented. Wireless Remote Control System is able to manage and monitor remote systems by using mobile communication devices for instantaneous control. The implementation of Wireless Remote Control System leads to these security Problems as well as solutions to aforementioned issues with existing web-based system management software solutions. Therefore, this paper has focused on the security matters related to Wireless Remote Control System. The designed security functions include mobile device user authentication and target system access control. For security verification of these security functions introduced CPN(Coloured Petri Nets) which is capable of expressing every possible state for each stage. And then in this paper was verified its security through PI(Place Invariant) based on CPN(Coloured Petri Nets). The CPN expression and analysis method of the proposed security function can also be a useful method for analyzing other services in the future.

  • Existing web-based system management software solutions show some limitations in time and space. In order to solve these deficiencies, Wireless Remote Control System(W-RCS) was designed and implemented. W-RCS is able to manage and monitor remote systems by using mobile communication devices for instantaneous control. The implementation of W-RCS leads to these security problems as well as solutions to aforementioned issues with existing web-based system management software solutions. Therefore, this paper has focused on the security matters related to W-RCS. The security functions based on public key infrastructure include mobile device user authentication and target system access control. The W-RCS allows real-time user authentication, increases the flexibility of resource administrators and mobile device non, and provides not only uninterrupted services, but also safe mobile office environments.

  • In this paper, various growth environment data collecting and monitoring based on wireless sensor network for greenhouse environmental monitoring system is designed and implemented. In addition, greenhouse control system is proposed to integrated control and management in internal environment and greenhouse facilities. The system provides real-time remote greenhouse integrated management service which collects greenhouse environment information and controls greenhouse facilities based on wireless sensor network. Graphical user interface for an integrated management system is designed based on the HMI and the experimental results show that the sensor data were collected by integrated management in real-time.

  • 본 논문에서는 레이들(ladle)에 실린 용강의 균일한 혼합을 위해 사용되는 저취 시스템의 버블 강도를 예측하기 위해 진동센서를 이용한 안착대를 설계하고 제작하였다 또한 무선 인터넷을 이용해 안착대로부터 진동 데이터를 수신하여 실시간으로 원격지에 위치한 서버에 저장하는 시스템을 구현하였다. 이와 함께 저취 시스템에 사용되는 유량제어밸브를 컨트롤하기 위해 기존에 사용되는 프로토콜 변환기를 변경한 데이터 처리장치를 설계하고 제작하였다. 데이터처리장치는 4개의 직렬 신호를 동시에 처리 가능하며 비구조화된 데이터를 보관하다록 하기 위해 플래쉬 메모리를 장착하였으며, CPU의 데이터 처리를 위해 SRAM을 장착하도록 구성하였다.(중략)

  • 본 논문에서는 유선기반 DOS(Disk Operating System) 제어의 다양한 단점들을 극복하기 위해 무선기반의 도스 원격제어 시스템을 제안한다. 제안한 시스템은 비디오 전송기, 가상 네트워크 드라이버, 무선 키보드 모듈로 구성되며 도스와 윈도우즈 컴퓨터간의 중계기 역할을 수행한다. 무선 랜 환경(802.11n)에서 성능을 측정한 결과 약 15Mbps 통신환경에서 영상의 경우 초당 10 ~ 15 프레임을 전송하고, 네트워크 드라이버의 연결속도는 약 8Mbps이며, 키보드 입력의 경우 실시간 처리가 가능하다. 따라서 본 논문에서 제안한 시스템은 DOS기반 어플리케이션의 원격제어 솔루션으로 매우 적합하다 할 수 있다.

A Study on the Realtime Wireless Remote Control Systems (실시간 무선 원격 제어 시스템에 관한 연구)

  • The decentralized and open characteristic of the internet, along with the mobility and portability of mobile communication, and the interactivity of the internet and mobile communications all have been grafted to enable the creation of wireless internet in our lives, bringing about a lot of change. However, existing system management software solutions show limitations in time and space, as well as problems such as uncertain error messages, and also difficulty providing swift assistance or real time emergency support. Therefore, a wireless remote control system has been designed and implemented in this thesis, which is capable of managing and monitoring remote systems using mobile communication devices (Mobile Phone, PDA, Smart Phone, Webpad) for realtime control. The implemented real time wireless remote control system provides remote server management functions, error or event message functions, log record functions, authentication function via mobile devices and system performance evaluation function classified by client transaction.
