Recently, in vitro stratum curneum model was a useful tool to evaluate the skin condition such as tranespidermal water loss, skin hydration and etc.. In this study to evaluate the alteration of SC with aging in hairless mouse, we measured TEWL using in vitro SC model, SC lipid, and outer corneocytes area. Although the total SC lipid was rich about 30% in 8 week old mouse compared with that of 82 week old mouse, the TEWL values were higher in the former than that of the latter. The outer corneocytes area was 559 $\pm$ 65 $mu extrm{m}$2 in 8 week old mouse and 755 $\pm$ 56 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$2 in 82 week old mouse. So the barrier function was reinforced with aging. This result suggested that the reinforced barrier function is one of the defense systems against the outer enviornment and the decreased skin function with aging.

양계가의 입장에서는 계란가격은 앙등되고 있는 반면 사료가격이 인하되고 있다는 것은 바람직한 일이겠으나 이를 기화로 무모하게 사육규모를 확장시켜 생산과잉현상을 유발하는 일이 없도록 참고 견뎌야 하겠다.

연소상태의 온도를 이동하면서 측정할 수 있는 광대역 코헤런트 반스톡스 라만 분광기를 제작하였다. 분광기의 온도 측정 정확도를 향상시키기 위하여 무모드레이저를 제작하여 스톡스광으로 사용하였다. 이동형 CARS 분광기에 적합하도록 CARS신호 측정용 단색기를 제작하여 분광기 내부에 설치 하였다. CARS 분광기의 온도 측정의 정확도를 알아보려고 흑연관 전기로를 이용하여 표준 복사온도계와 CARS 분광기로 측정한 온도의 차이를 측정하였다. 장치의 온도 정확도는 1000 K - 2400 K 사이의 온도영역에서 2%이내 였다. 무모드 색소레이저의 출력 스펙트럼의 시간에 따른 안정도를 측정하여 온도측정에 미치는 오차를 조사한 결과 1500 K에서 5 시간 동안 1.5 %이내 였다. 평면 화염 버너에서 프로판공기 예혼합 화염의 온도 분포를 측정하여 이 장치의 응용 가능성을 확인하였다.

이 글은 제품개발과정 중 하나인 시작품 제작과정의 경쟁력 향상 방안을 연구, 조사하였다. 이 글 에서는 시작품 제작과정을 대별하여 비금형방식, 무모델방식, 마스터모델의 복제방식으로 구분 하였으며, 이들 방식의 향후 연구개발 방향은 다음과 같이 요약할 수 있을 것이다. 첫째, 비금형 방식의 향후 발전성은 신기술인 3차원 인쇄장치의 발전 방향과 그 맥을 같이 할 것이다. 둘째, 무모델방식에 의한 시작품의 제작인바, 이는 제작 정밀도의 우수성 때문에 양질의 시제품을 제작할 수 있다는 장점을 지니게 된다. 마지막으로, 이 글에서 중점적으로 설명되어진 복제에 의한 시작금형의 제작은 복제의 기본인 마스터 모델의 제작 정밀도 및 신속성이 각종 NC공작기계 및 3차원 인쇄장치의 발전으로 가능 하여져서 최근에 크게 주목받고 있는 분야이다.

Chronic exposure of solar ultraviolet (UV) light to human skin results in photoaging with wrinkle formation. This study was performed to investigate anti-wrinkle effects of Lindera obtusiloba extract (LO) on UVB-induced wrinkle formation. We first measured cell proliferation and type I pN collagen synthesis activities in normal human dermal fibroblasts. Cell proliferation and type I pN collagen synthesis were increased by 33.8 % and 91.8 %, respectively, compared with no treatment control. SKH-1 hairless mice were topically applied 5 % LO solution for 10 weeks with UVB irradiation three times a week. After 10 weeks, a visual assessment and replica assay were performed on each mouse. According to visual assessment of close-up photos and skin replica, application of 5 % LO solution inhibited UV-induced wrinkle formation in mouse skin as compared to the vehicle-applied control mice. These results indicated that LO could protect skin wrinkle formation caused by chronic photo-irradiation in hairless mice.

We screened several materials to stimulate IGF-1 promoter activity using luciferase reporter assay and found that Amomi Semen extract (ASE) among them is the most powerful stimulator We also studied about the anti-wrinkle effect of ethanolic extract of Amoni Semen in vitro and in vivo. Semi-quantitative RT-PCR showed that the extract elevated the presence level of IGF-1 mRNA. And $[^3H]$ proline incorporation and semi-quantitative RT-PCR showed that the extract increased the expression of type-I collagen compared with vehicle in vitro and in vivo, respectively. Significant inhibition of MMP-1 expression was determined by ELISA and Western blot. Finally, topical treatment of the extract on hairless mouse's dorsal skin expanded the volume of collagen and dermal thickness. These results suggest that Amomi Semen may be a good candidate for improving extracellular matrix through the increase of collagen expression and inhibition of MMP-1 expression. Moreover, this study enables us to guess that IGF-1 stimulated by the extract may be involved in the mechanism of anti-wrinkle effect of it.

편두통은 머릿 속에 딱다구리가 들어와 있는 것처럼 생활을 불편하게 하는 병입니다. 특히, 20대 여성에게 많이 나타나는 편두통은 뚜렷한 원인도 없고 완치도 쉽지 않습니다. 두통이 심하면 혹시 '뇌에 종양이 생긴 게 아닐까' 두려워하는 사람도 있는데 대부분 스트레스로 인한 긴장성 두통이나 편두통입니다. 그러나 무작정 진통제로 해결하려는 것은 무모한 일이며 진통제를 남용하면 병이 만성화돼 치료가 더욱 어려울 수 있습니다.

전원의 겨울은 도시에서 느끼는 기온보다 더 춥고 길게 느껴지기 마련이다. 도시에서 길들여진 생활습관을 그대로 가지고 시골생활을 시작한다면 하얀 눈에 뒤덮힌 산과 들을 바라보며 따뜻한 차 한잔을 마시는 상상이 얼마나 무모했는지를 알 수 있을 것이다. 일반 단독 주택에서 생활했던 사람들은 그래도 낫다. 난방이 잘 되어 있어 겨울에도 반팔입고 살던 아파트생활에 익숙한 이들에게 있어 전원주택에서 맞는 첫 번째 겨울은 한마디로 추위와의 전쟁이라고 표현할 수 있을 것이다.
