  • In recent years, Sandbox Games have become more and more popular in players, and The Elder Scrolls 5 Skyrim is the magnum opus of this type of game. However, the element of this game's attraction for players, which is why the game is fun to play is worth exploring in the territory of Game Design. In this paper, I will introduce the game The Elder Scrolls 5 Skyrim in detail, listing some of the game's storyline 、 Game Mechanics and analyze them. Researching the advantage and disadvantage viewed from the angle of Game Interactive Design. Finally by analyzing a large number of interactive storytelling cases in the game and the game experience brought to players, I get some universal principles in the game interactive storytelling design level. The research transforms the players' subjective intuition factor into a clear interactive storytelling design pattern, which aims to provide qualitative design criteria and framework for game interactive storytelling design. Then find a universal technique of Game Interactive Design, that is how to design a game interaction system for a sandbox game that will make the game attractive to players. And this may provide some guiding significance for the later Game Interactive Designing.

  • NOS education through the history of science is regarded effective. However, science teaching has been criticized for not considering the interest of the learners enough and providing the context of learning themes that hinder the understanding of NOS. This study intends to convey the NOS element through the rich context of storytelling. The theme of the story is the history of continental drift, in which, the debate of many scientists and Wegener's creativity are prominent. Of the various media that deliver storytelling, the most powerful medium that leads to personal immersion is computer games, and among many kinds of games, the main genre of storytelling is role-playing games (RPGs). We developed the science history role-playing game (SHRPG) focusing on continental drift. The game development procedure followed Kim's 4F process (2017), which consists of the Figure Out, Focus, Fun Design, and Finalize. The story was constructed based on the NOS elements of Lederman et al. (2002), namely creativity and imagination demand, subjectivity, socio-cultural personality and tentativeness, which are all present in the story of the continental drift theory. The mechanics and rules of the RPG included quests, rewards, quizzes, NOS scores, and rankings. In the final phase of development, the game developed was pilot tested four times. The results of the tests showed that students' understanding of NOS through SHRPG has increased, especially in the creativity domain. The students' satisfaction with the fun, sympathy, and immersion during the game was very high.

  • 3D architectural visualization animation has become more important in architectural presentations due to the rapid development of digital technology. Unlike games and movies, architectural visualization animation most focuses on delivering visual information, and aims to express the sense of space that viewers feel in an architectural space, rather than simply providing an image of viewing buildings. The sense of space is affected not only by physical elements of architecture, but also by immaterial elements such as light, time, and human actions, and it is more advantageous to express it in animations that can contain temporality compared to a fixed image. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to search for elements to effectively convey a sense of space in architectural visualization animation. To this end, the works of renowned architectural visualization artists that are open to the public were selected and observed to search for elements to effectively convey a sense of space to viewers. The elements that convey the sense of space that are common to the investigated architectural animations can be classified into the movement and manipulation of the camera, the movement of surrounding objects, the change of the light environment, the change of the weather, the control of time, and the insertion of a surreal scene. It will be followed by a discussion on the immersion of architectural contents.

  • This study aimed to investigate the types that readers enjoying cartoons appreciated cartoons under the premise that cartoons enjoyed over the internet would expand their sensitivity through media such as monitors and mice. The sensitivity of readers enjoying digital cartoons can be stimulated through communication with carton writers or other readers as the interaction of the real-time response to the network. The choice and control are possible with a vertical scroll bar. Accordingly, readers can be absorbed in a work and focus on its story much more. As a result of extracting emotional stimulation factors to verify these assumptions, factors were able to classify the sensitivity that readers enjoying cartoons obtained from digital cartoons into two types, communication and story-focus type, based on the phases that emotional stimuli were strengthened. This study will be significant as a study to identify the relationship between media-technological factors and readers enjoying cartoons in relation to digital cartoons.

  • Communication is an element of the story-telling in processing of the game as well as basic role of information exchange. In case of communication-based adventure games which are processed through communication, the communication is playing the role beyond its basic role up to providing a limited information on quests and solutions in Massively Multiplay Online Role Playing Game(MMORPG). Even though the communication is one of most important element for absorbtion into game, current communications with Non Playable Characters in games are just monotonous event-driven method following pattern based on prepared game scenario. In this research, we have analyzed natural language processing systems which are being used in the area of Artificial Intelligence for the purpose of more realistic communications in games, and have studied methods to apply these communications on games.

  • Recently, the education is trying to increase educational effect in self-directed teaming to attract learners' interest and concentration. For that reason, as interaction which makes learners step into lessons spontaneously than a simple convey of knowledge is getting more important, edutainment contents that introduce entertainment for education is being in the limelight. Especially, it needs how to design interaction in which the factors of pleasure and entertainment are emphasized for learners' immersion regarding with edutainment contents based on digital mediums. So, I'm going to present a method of curriculum design on educational factors and how to design interaction on enjoyment factors of interactive cartoon in order to increase educational effect. Through this research, I wish to provide the groundwork which makes interactive cartoon that carries infinite possibility become a new part of edutainment contents.

  • This study attempted to identify differences in user experience and app game fun, satisfaction, use intention between fitness app games at different level of interaction design. The playtesting method was conducted on 100(male 50, female 50) university students using 'Enjoy Your Fitness', a fitness app game developed by The Center for Health Communication Studies. The results found that more interactive app game is higher in the level of user experience such as fitness accomplishment, flow, and interest. Fitness app game's fun, satisfaction, use intention is also higher on interactive fitness app game. As the study verified that interactive fitness app game had stronger effects in user fitness experience and user experience than general fitness app games through experimental studies, it may contribute to design fitness mobile app game for health improvement.

  • The purpose of this paper is to analyze quantitative learning motivation on G learning. For the purpose the paper has analyzed the learning motivation factors through students' review on G learning which had been done at La Ballona Elementary School in Culver City, USA in 2010. On the basis of contents analysis method, it showed what factors of G learning influenced students and raised their academic motivation. Students used the positive, active words such as good, fun, learn, accomplish, easy, quest in terms of learning process, interest and achievement. They also showed future G learning intention describing terms such as love and miss. Team Quest has been especially developed for G learning class this time. Students had to help each other to solve the team quests which is different from traditional textbook. The system raised students' academic motivation.

  • Recently studies about audio-visual immersion are being carried out due to development of digital video but studies analysing quantitatively the content or climax of video has not carried out. The paper is analysed quantitatively by using shot size, camera angle, camera direction and camera position, objective & subjective which is general component of video expression. We can see the climax effects in the video destroying the principles because there is a rule when they use the component. This thesis analyses shot-list based on video expression in existing movies therefore it can analyse quantitatively several method commonly used in order to make the climax. These suggesting method that can find the part of climax based on analysis of shot-list can be used when you search the specific part of video like long movie or when you search the genre of the movie or when you index the genre. Also it can be very effective in various information services companies offering climax movie which is searched.
