Design of Safety School Bus System Using RFID (RFID를 활용한 안전 스쿨버스 시스템 설계)

  • As the use of school buses becomes more common, related laws are being enacted, such as making it mandatory for children to check school bus dropouts due to frequent accidents caused by the negligence of school bus drivers and their guardians. In this paper, we propose a safe school bus system that links efficient radio-frequency identification (RFID) and mobile APP in terms of energy utilization and cost. The school bus system uses RFID cards to check information on children boarding the school bus, and real-time SMS transmission allows parents to safely send their children to and from school. Instructors on the school bus can check their children's disembarkation information once more through APP, preventing various accidents that may occur to children left on the bus. Due to the automation of the school bus operation log, daycare center teachers can not only check the information on getting on and off, but also manage the information on the attendance and discharge of the students.

  • Radio Frequency IDentification(RFID) 시스템은 리더와 태그로 구성되어 리더에서 태그로 신호를 전송하여 태그로부터 원하는 정보를 얻는 시스템이다. 이 시스템에서 리더와 태그가 통신을 할 때 근접한 거리에 있는 리더들이 동일한 주파수를 이용하거나, 여러 리더가 동시에 하나의 태그에 명령을 전송하는 경우 서로 간섭을 일으켜 RFID 리더 충돌이 발생하는데, 본 논문에서는 이 충돌을 방지하기 위한 셀 분할 기법과 셀 내의 충돌 문제를 해결하기 위한 CCA 기법을 소개한다. 또한 CCA 기법의 성능 개선을 위한 Beacon 채널 CCA 방식을 제안한다.

  • From bar code systems and radio frequency identification (RFID) to beacons utilizing low power bluetooth technology, the fusion of information technology and health and medical treatment is spreading through advances such as automated treatment and examination stages and the use of treatment information connected to smart devices. In this paper, designed and implemented a mobile health care system for the safe management of blood transfusions to prevent accidental problems that can occur during patient blood transfusions. It makes safe and effective blood transfusion possible by using smart devices to read information saved on patient bracelets, blood-collecting containers, blood transfusion bags, and medical personnel identification cards so that they match patient information. By applying the blood transfusion management mobile health care system presented and implemented in this paper to blood transfusion processes in hospitals, it was verified that it allows for safe and effective blood transfusion, preventing accidents which may occur in blood transfusion processes.

  • As RFID is utilized more frequently and diversely in terms of its application areas, the application of mobile RFID technology, which integrates cellular networks and RFID, is highly anticipated. The growth and development of the RFID field has bolstered the development of mobile RFID chips to be embedded in mobile phones. Because mobile RFID chips are embedded in cell phones, limitations such as low power, small form factor, and costliness must be confronted. This study presents the design of a RFID digital baseband processor that is suitable for mobile readers. The RF analog component, which affects the baseband signals, is designed separately, in consideration of the limitations stated above. The function of the baseband processor was verified through simulations and prototyped using FPGA. The power consumption of the chip is 20mW under a 20MHz clock and the chip measures $3mm{\times}3mm$.

  • 모바일 블로그는 기존에 웹에서 널리 쓰이던 블로그 서비스를 PDA나 휴대폰 등의 휴대단말을 통하여 제공한다. 그러나 기존의 모바일 블로그는 단순히 휴대단말을 이용하여 작성한 글을 인터넷에 연결된 블로그 서버에 올리거나 블로그 서버에 있는 글들을 가져와 보여주는 기능만을 제공하고 있다 또한, 사용자의 상황정보(context)를 고려한 블로그 서비스를 지원하지 않는다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 모바일 블로그를 위 두 가지 측면에서 확장한 상황인지 기반 모바일 애드혹 블로그의 설계와 구현에 대해 논한다. 본 논문에서 제안한 상황인지 기반 모바일 애드혹 블로그는 (1) 근거리 통신 기술을 이용하여 주위 사람들과의 직접적 블로그 공유를 지원하며 (2) RFID 기술을 이용하여 사용자의 위치를 파악하고 그에 맞게 블로그 서비스를 제공한다. 제안한 블로그는 Java를 이용하여 실제 구현이 되었으며 현재 Jeode JVM이 올려져 있는 PDA에서 동작이 가능하다. PDA 간의 통신을 위해 IEEE801.11 애드혹 모드를 이용하였다.

  • Technological advancements in information technology including RFID and mobile technologies have made it feasible to track the customers travel path in a store. The customer travel paths provide valuable implications to understanding the customer behaviors in a store. In our research, we develop a shopping path analysis system to track and analyze the customer travel path. The proposed system consists of RFID systems for collecting the customer paths and analysis system. The analysis system conducts clustering for identifying the distinctive shopping patterns, and analyzes the profile of a grocery, such as congestion rate, visiting rate, and staying time, etc. We show the applicability of our proposed system using the actual data obtained at a grocery in Seoul as a case study.

  • There is a vast field of application for RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) technology. In the case of hospitals, RFID can be used for organizing patient data. Generally, patient data has been handled with medical cards. In order to look up data about a patient, the medical card would have to be found first, within a lot of other medical cards, by hand or with a computer. This is a very inconvenient system. Also, if the card is searched by the name of the patient, fatal medical accidents may occur in cases of mix-ups. If remote RFID Tag monitoring systems are applied in this case, the patient data would be accessible in the hospital. This article will discuss the grafting of RFID systems and wireless data communicating technology. The EM4095 chip, which uses 125KHz carrier waves was used in this study. And a Bluetooth module was added for wireless data communication. The ATMEGA128 microcomputer was used to control the RFID system and wireless module. A LCD monitor was connected to the extension port for nurses to view patient data, and also, the same information was displayed on PC monitors for doctors to see. The circuit was designed to consume minimal amounts of electricity for portability, and to transmit Tag ID's in environments with a lot of noise. The article is concluded with a diagram of the whole system, and performance of each data transmitting section has been analyzed.

기업의 핵심정보 유출방지를 위한 모바일 단말 통제방안 연구

  • 정보기술환경이 모바일, 클라우드, BYOD 기반으로 변화함에 따라 과거 통화기능에만 머물던 모바일 단말은 인터넷을 활용한 전자상거래 및 모바일 오피스를 뒷받침하는 기반으로 전환되고 있다. 하지만, 단말의 분실과 도난, 악성코드 감염으로 인한 도청 및 정보유출 등의 위협이 발생하고 있으며 특히, 기업의 핵심정보가 유출되는 경로로서 활용되는 사례가 발생하여 이에 대한 조치가 시급하다. 기업은 핵심정보의 유출을 방지하기 위해 출입통제를 강화하고 스마트폰 카메라에 대한 스티커 부착을 통해 보안을 강화하고 있지만 원천적인 보호조치로는 미흡한 실정이다. 높은 수준의 보안을 유지하기 위하여 RFID, Beacon 등을 활용하여 위치기반서비스가 적용된 보안통제기능을 적용하고 위험평가기반의 출입자 보안정책을 수립하여 모바일 디바이스를 직접 통제할 수 있는 방안을 제시한다.

  • Recently, according to rapid technological development trend of mobile devices revolutionary transforming our lives in various fields, thereby combining the latest in communications technology. These mobile devices to celebrate the digital convergence era are now created a new business model due to mobility. The mobile business operators obtains a user's location information using the smart phone. The mobile business operators provide users with the area or building-related information for the user on. The mobile business operators provide users profiles to advertisers and product sellers. In this study, I propose the mobile business model and that there are no technical problems design a conceptual framework on mobile agents for mobile operators.

A Study the Informationization of Public Libraries: Comparing 2012 with 2014 (공공도서관 정보화 실태 연구 - 2012년과 2014년 비교 -)

  • The objective of this study is to investigate and compare the situation of the informationization of public libraries between 2012 and 2014. Data were collected two times in both 2012 and 2014 using Internet survey. Survey contents were general information situation, softwares, digital service room, RFID, digital contents, mobile service, integrated digital services. Results show that library informationization went for demonstration effect for local residents, staff for library informationization was insufficient, KOLAS was still needed to be upgraded, and most of public libraries were insufficient for future digital services. As improvement plans, there are the development of next generation integrated system, expansion of mobile web and app service, and increasing digital contents. For further study, it provides a study of the use of digital contents and equipment on public libraries.
