A Dynamic Security Service using Access Control Model in Distributed Framework Support for u-Healthcare (u-헬스케어 지원 분산 프레임워크에서 접근 제어 모델을 이용한 동적 보안 서비스)

  • This paper describes a security object designed to support a dynamic security service for application services in u-healthcare computing environments in which domains are used to object groups for specifying security policies, In particular, we focus on security object for distributed framework support for u-healthcare including policy, role for security and operations use to access control. And then, by using the DPD-Tool. we showed the access right grant procedure of objects which are server programs, the developing process of client program. Also, we verified the executablility of security service supporting by distributed framework support for u-healthcare use to the mobile monitoring application developing procedure implemented through DPD-Tools.

  • This paper action tracing by techniques to do image sequence component to watch invader based on Mobile internet use. A Personal Digital Library on a Distributed Mobile Multiagents Platform (분산 모바일 멀티에이전트 플랫폼을 이용한 사용자 기반 디지털 라이브러리 구축)

  • When digital libraries are developed by the traditional client/sever system using a single agent on the distributed environment, several problems occur. First, as the search method is one dimensional, the search results have little relationship to each other. Second, the results do not reflect the user's preference. Third, whenever a client connects to the server, users have to receive the certification. Therefore, the retrieval of documents is less efficient causing dissatisfaction with the system. I propose a new platform of mobile multiagents for a personal digital library to overcome these problems. To develop this new platform I combine the existing DECAF multiagents platform with the Voyager mobile ORB and propose a new negotiation algorithm and scheduling algorithm. Although there has been some research for a personal digital library, I believe there have been few studies on their integration and systemization. For searches of related information, the proposed platform could increase the relationship of search results by subdividing the related documents, which are classified by a supervised neural network. For the user's preference, as some modular clients are applied to a neural network, the search results are optimized. By combining a mobile and multiagents platform a new mobile, multiagents platform is developed in order to decrease a network burden. Furthermore, a new negotiation algorithm and a scheduling algorithm are activated for the effectiveness of PDS. The results of the simulation demonstrate that as the number of servers and agents are increased, the search time for PDS decreases while the degree of the user's satisfaction is four times greater than with the C/S model.

  • A vast amount of research has been carried out for executing compute-intensive applications on resource-constrained mobile devices. Computation offloading is a method in which heavy computations are dynamically migrated from a mobile device to a server, exploiting the powerful hardware of the server to perform complex computations. An important issue for offloading is the complexity of reconciling the execution state of applications between the server and the client. To address this issue, snapshot-based offloading has recently been proposed, which utilizes the snapshot of a web app as the portable description of the execution state. However, for web applications using the HTML5 canvas, snapshot-based offloading does not function correctly, because the snapshot cannot capture the state of the canvas. In this paper, we propose a code generation technique to save the canvas state as part of a snapshot, so that the snapshot-based offloading can be applied to web applications using the canvas.

  • Among the various application to use FRID, the parking control system widely uses it recently. However, it is rare for the existing systems to integrate several parking lot in the clustered shopping center. This paper proposes the integrated parking control system based on RFID. The system searches optimal path to parking lot with due regard to the position of users who own a tag and the status of parking lots. Then, it transmits the path to mobile devices of the users. The system consists of main server, middle ware to filter and manage tag information, parking lot client to send and manage the status of each parking lot and application module of mobile devices based on WIPI for displaying the optimal path. The main server integrates these components by a database and a new method to filters and manage tag information is newly proposed for the sake of maintaining the position and the direction of the cars in the middle ware. The implemented system shows that it is highly expected to be useful in an advanced integrated parking control system.

Semi-Dynamic Digital Video Adaptation System for Mobile Environment (모바일 환경을 위한 준-동적 디지털 비디오 어댑테이션 시스템)

  • A video adaptation system translates the source video stream into appropriate video stream while satisfying the network and client constraints and maximizing the video quality as much as possible. This paper proposes a semi-dynamic video adaptation scheme, in which several intermediate video streams and the information for the measuring of video quality are generated statically. The intermediate video streams are generated by reducing the resolution of the video stream by a power of two several times, and they are stored as the intermediate video streams on the video server. The statically generated information for the input video stream consists of the degrees of smoothness for each frame rate and the degree of frame definition for each pixel bit rate. It helps to dynamically generate the target video stream according to the client's QoS at run-time as quickly as possible. Experimental result shows that the proposed adaptation scheme can generate the target video stream about thirty times faster while keeping the quality degradation as less than 2% comparing to the target video stream that is totally dynamically generated, although the extra storages for the intermediate video streams are required.

  • In recent, development of wireless internet technology gradually has increased multimedia application in mobile device. Specially, application of grand capacity multimedia contents has increased in mobile environment gradually. MPEG-7 can search multimedia data using various type. But in restricted grand capacity of multimedia, MPEG-7 is used to be limited in desktop computer system mostly. Therefore, management of grand capacity multimedia data has become very important researching topic in mobile environment, and so embedded DBMS based on MPEG-7 for multimedia data management in client-server environment is needed. The system supports restricted hardware resource for multimedia application in mobile device. In this paper, we propose a method for MPEG-7 data clustering that included MPEG-7 data property. On the base of the clustering result, we also develop the embedded multimedia database management system based on MPEG-7 scheme(EMDS:MPEG-7 Scheme Based Embedded Multimedia Database Management System) in mobile device such as PDA.

  • Various other platforms have appeared due to the abolishment of WIPI requirement and increased problems related with hacking and security. Since levels consisting of these platforms are composed of various APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) which are not standardized, other ways must be considered to protect data which are transferred using XML formats. Therefore, XML encryption API and XML digital signature API for data protection and certification, which are both responsible to define mark-up languages for XML encryption and digital signature respectively, were designed in this paper. The simulation system which played the role of the server and client between two terminal units was realized to validate the APIs.

  • With the development of wireless communication techniques and mobile environment we are able to transmit data between mobile systems without restriction of time and space. Recently, researches on the data communication between mobile systems have focused on a small amount of sending out or receiving data and data synchronization at a fixed server and mobile clients in mobile environment. However, two more servers should be able to move mutual independently, information is shared with other systems, and data is synchronized in the special environment like a battlefield situation. Therefore, we propose a data synchronization method between systems moving mutual independently in mobile environment. The proposed method is an optimization solution to data propagation path between servers that considers limited bandwidth and process of data for disconnection communication. In addition, we propose a data reduction method that considers importance and sharing of information in order to reduce data transmission between huge servers. We verified the accuracy of data after accomplishing our data synchronization method by applying it in the real world environment. Additionally, we showed that our method could accomplish data synchronization normally within an allowance tolerance when we considered data propagating delay time by server extension.

  • Recently, many WMS(Web Mapping Services) and POI(Point of Interest) service on to be in service on the Internet using Web CIS(Geographic Information System) as information Technology and computer HW are evolved faster in its speed, network bandwidth and features. The Web GIS is, however, limited and constrained on the specification of its system configuration, the service class provided and the presentation methodology of a map. As the mobile Internet becomes popular in mobile service, Web GIS service on mobile environment is strongly required and to be provided by LBS(Location Based Service) on a mobile client such as PDA with location information of the user. In this paper, we made an effort to design and implement a GIS computing environment by thin client for mobile web mapping service. For implementing the thin client GIS computing environment, we were using NGII's(National Geographic Information Institute's) DXF map, representing the map by SVG(Scalable Vector Graphics) recommended by OGC(OpenGis Consortium), and adapting standard XML web service to provide the thin client GIS service on PDA by applying the location information of the user in realtime with GPS on mobile environment.
