  • 본 논문에서는 각종 센서를 탑재한 차량을 센서 네트워크의 노드로써 움직이는 하드웨어를 구현하였다. 센서 네트워크에서 이동할 수 있는 노드들은 주위의 환경을 인지하여 대처하며 그에 대한 정보를 컴퓨터에 전달하여 차량이 있는 곳의 지도를 만들어 낸다. 이러한 센서 차량의 하드웨어를 만들기 위해 정면에 존재하는 장애물을 인지하는 라인레이저와 그것을 인지할 수 있는 카메라, 초음파 센서를 설치하였다. 절대적인 지표 없이 정확한 좌표를 알아내기 힘들고 차량 이동 시 미끄러짐 등과 같은 오차가 생길 수 있으므로 정확한 방위각을 알아낼 수 있는 디지털 나침반을 차량 설계에 포함 시켰다.

  • This thesis aims to realize an intelligent home service robot that alerts the user to dangerous situations such as fires and gas leaks by utilizing wireless internet platforms in a cellular phone. The intelligent home service robot is composed of the following parts: The robot part consists of a gas sensor, a fire detector, a smoke sensor, ultrasonic sensors, motors, a camera and a Blue-tooth module and perceives various danger circumstances; The middleware part connects the robot part with the mobile part through the middleware applications, monitors the robot and notifies an emergency situation using SMS modules; The mobile part communicates with the middleware using TCP/IP protocol and controls the robot through various commands; The proposed scheme is to control the sensors of the robot part through and Atmega128 processor, and the mobile part was developed based on the WIPI platform. The robot and middleware parts will be installed in the household, and will be controled by mobile part from the outside.

  • In this paper, an auxiliary device was implemented to help blind people more safely from obstacles or risk factors while walking. The ultrasonic sensors detect obstacles in the front, so that the noise gap and the vibration intensity of the buzzer can be heard differently by distance and angle, and so the situation can be perceived by pedestrians. When the ambient light becomes darker than the light intensity set using the CdS resistance value of the light sensor, the LED automatically turns on, makes it easier for pedestrians to recognize the position of the auxiliary device through buzzer if the pedestrian misses the aid using the gyro sensor's slope. Moreover, the location and situation of the blind were transmitted to the caregiver to check safety and behavior using GPS and Bluetooth.

  • In this thesis, the ambulatory aid mechanism was implemented so that blind people could be safer at risk of walking outdoors. Using ultrasonic sensors, the obstacles can be detected when the distance between the obstacle is within 50 cm of the obstacle. If the light sensor becomes less than 25 lux, the LED will automatically turn on and help the safety of the visually impaired and the security of sight of the peripheral walkers. Color recognition sensors increase the rate of recognition of yellow color by the detection distance is 1cm, it vibrated when yellow light was detected. Using GPS with 7.3 m of error range, the guardian was able to check the location of the visually impaired.

  • In this study, an ICT-based underwater communication monitoring device for underwater structures is implemented based on lifting fixture that transport human bodies found on the seabed to sea level. The lifting fixture is packaged with a retback, sideback, and cartridge that injects air. Monitoring systems are developed in a mobile manner in a portable structure. The underwater ultrasonic sensor signal is supplied using a USB port, and the O/S consists of Linux. For the underwater communication dong test, a measurement test was conducted in real time from 6m to 40m in depth on the east coast. The ultrasonic sound sensor is converted to 2,400 bps to verify the transmission error according to the duality. The communication speed of sensor to monitoring is 115,200 bps, and the speed of communication from controller to receiver is 2,400 bps. In the commercialization stage of the lifting device, it is easy to develop a low-end type and the compatibility is wide.

  • In this paper, we implemented an intelligent home service robot system which alerts users to danger by wireless internet platforms for interoperability(WIPI) of a cellular phone. This paper discusses the three parts of the system: robot, middleware and mobile system. First, the robot consists of a gas sensor, a fire detector, ultrasonic sensors, motors, a camera and a Bluetooth module. The robot perceives various danger circumstances. Second, the middleware connects the robot and the mobile system. It monitors the robot and sends emergency notification SMS message to the user's cellular phone if in danger. Third, the mobile system sends commands which control the robot using TCP/IP protocol. The proposed scheme is to control the sensors of the robot part through Atmega 128 processor, and the robot and middleware parts will be installed in the household, and will be controled by mobile part from the outside.

  • In order to inspect the quality of spot welding, inefficient destructive test and NDT (non destructive testing) utilizing expensive foreign ultrasonic inspection are being conducted in the automobile production lines, but NDT will be difficult to be used in the domestic automobile production due to complexity of the waveform analysis and lack of mobility. In this paper, NDT system inspecting the quality of spot welding based on mobile network is proposed to complement drawbacks of the conventional inefficient destructive testing and NDT inspecting the quality of spot welding. Regardless of daily condition of NDT tester, the proposed NDT system can determine the quality of spot welding automatically and transmit the information of NDT quality to smart devices of field workers in real-time so that convenience of NDT and productivity of automobile production will be improved. Several specimens with a variety of welding quality was produced to evaluate the performance of the proposed mobile ultrasonic NDT system and the conventional foreign equipment, through this experiments, the proposed mobile ultrasonic NDT system indicate the superior properties compared to the conventional equipment in terms of convenience, productivity, and economic.

  • A mobile ultrasound scanner developed for use in point-of-care applications is introduced, which can not only provide ultrasound images but can also measure various bio-signals. The mobile ultrasound scanner is also designed to meet the demanding requirements for point-of-care diagnosis, such as battery-powered operation, portability in terms of size and weigh, and real-time wireless communications capability for remote diagnosis. To meet these requirements, an efficient beamforming method for high resolution imaging with a small number of active elements, a hardware efficient beamformer architecture, and echo processing algorithms with greatly reduced computational complexity have been developed. Experimental results show that the prototype mobile ultrasound scanner is fully functional and satisfies most of the design requirements.

Evaluation of Growth Inhibition for Microcystis aeruginosa with Ultrasonic Irradiation Time (초음파 조사시간에 따른 Microcystis aeruginosa의 성장억제 평가)

  • The growth inhibitory effect of Microcystis aeruginosa according to the ultrasonic irradiation time was evaluated using a large algae sample volume (10 L) for various ultrasonic irradiation times (0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5 and 3 hr) at a laboratory scale. Based on the analysis of Chl-a and cell number of M. aerginosa, algae growth inhibition was observed with the decrease in Chl-a and cell number in all experimental groups after the ultrasonic irradiation. For the experimental group (T_B, T_C, T_D) with an ultrasonic irradiation time of less than 2 hours, rapid regrowth of algae was observed after growth inhibition, but the experimental group (T_E, T_F, T_G) with an irradiation time of more than 2 hours successfully inhibited algal growth lasting one or two more days. Based on the comparison of the recovery time to initial cell number the experimental group (T_B, T_C, T_D) took less than 20 days whereas the experimental group (T_E, T_F, T_G) took about 30 days. Correspondingly, the experimental group showed a high first order decay rate (𝜅) in proportion to the ultrasonic irradiation time during the growth inhibition period. Additionally, the specific growth rates (𝜇) during regrowth in the experimental group with irradiation time of more than 2 hours were relatively low compared to those in the experimental group with less than 2 hours. Therefore, ultrasonic irradiation for more than 2 hours is required for long-term (30 days) inhibition of algal growth in stagnant waters. However, the appropriate ultrasonic irradiation time for algae growth inhibition should be determined according to various field conditions such as the volume of stagnant water, water depth, flow rate, algae concentration, etc. Finally, damages to the algal cell surface and cell membrane were clearly observed, and both destruction and disturbance of gas vesicles of M. aeruginosa in the experimental group were discovered, indicating the growth inhibitory effect of Microcystis aeruginosa according to the ultrasonic irradiation time was confirmed.

  • 기계적 에너지를 전기적 에너지로 변환하는 에너지 변환소자인 압전 세라믹스는 액추에이터, 변압기, 초음파모터, 초음파 소자 및 각종 센서로 응용되고 있으며, 그 응용분야는 크게 증가하고 있다. 최근에는 이러한 압전 소자를 앞으로 도래하는 ubiquitous, 무선 모바일 시대의 휴대용 전자제품, robotics, MEMS 분야 등의 대체 에너지원으로 응용하기 위한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 특히 인간의 걷기 운동 등과 같은 일상적인 동작으로 필요한 전력을 얻을 수 있고, 세라믹 소자를 이용하기 때문에 전자노이즈가 발생되지 않을 뿐 아니라 반영구적으로 사용할 수 가 있어서, 기존 이차전지를 대체 또는 보완 할 수 있는 방안도 검토되고 있다. PZT계 세라믹스는 높은 유전상수와 우수한 압전특성으로 전자세라믹스 분야에서 가장 널리 사용되어지고 있지만 $1200^{\circ}C$ 이상의 높은 소결온도 때문에 $1000^{\circ}C$ 부근에서 급격히 휘발되는 PbO로 인한 환경오염과 기본조성의 변화로 인한 압전 특성의 저하가 문제시 되고 있다. 또한 적층 세라믹스의 제작 시 구조적 특성상 내부전극이 도포된 상태에서 동시 소결이 필요한데, 융점이 낮은 Ag전극 대신 값비싼 Pd나 Pt가 다량 함유된 Ag/Pd, Ag/Pt 전극이 사용되고 있어 경제성이 떨어지는 단점을 갖게 된다. 순수 Ag 전극을 사용하거나 Ag의 비율이 높은 내부전극을 사용하기 위해서는 $900^{\circ}C$ 이하에서 소결되고 우수한 전기적 특성을 보이는 압전 세라믹스를 개발 하는 것이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 압전특성이 우수한 $(Pb_{1-x}Cd_x)(Ni_{1/3}/Nb_{2/3})_{0.25}(Zr_{0.35}/Ti_{0.4})O_3$ 계의 조성을 설계하고, 소걸온도를 낮추기 위해서 2 단계 하소법을 이용하였다. 또한 $MnCO_3$, $SiO_2$, $Pb_3O_4$ 등을 소량 첨가하여 액상 소결 특성을 부여하여 소결 온도를 감소시키려는 시도도 하였다. 분말을 볼 밀링 (ball milling)을 통해 24시간 동안 혼합하고, 혼합된 분말은 $800^{\circ}C$에서 2시간 동안 하소하였다. 하소한 분말을 다시 72시간 동안 볼 밀링 하여 최종 분말을 얻었다. 최종 분말에 PVB를 첨가하여 직경 15mm의 디스크 형태로 성형한 후, 850~$975^{\circ}C$ 범위에서 온도를 변화시키면서 소결을 하였다. 최종 분말 및 소결된 시편을 XRD분석을 통하여 상을 확인하였고, SEM을 이용하여 미세조직을 관찰 하였다. 전기적 특성을 평가하기 위하여 두께를 1mm로 연마한 시편에 Ag 전극을 도포하여 $650^{\circ}C$에서 열처리한 후, 분극처리 하였다. 압전특성은 $d_{33}$-meter로 측정하였고, impedance analyzer를 이용하여 압전 특성 (전기기계결합계수 및 기계적품질계수)을 측정 하였다. 또한 강유전체 특성 평가 장치 (Precision-LC)를 이용하여 분극-전계 특성을 평가하였다. 이상의 연구를 통하여 소결 온도가 $900^{\circ}C$인 경우에서도 양호한 압전 특성을 확보 할 수 있었다.
