  • 본 논문은 멀티채널 UHD(Ultra High Definition) 영상 녹화/재생 하드웨어 플랫폼과 서버 시스템간의 안정적인 스트림 데이터 전송을 위한 PCI Express 디바이스 드라이버 인터페이스를 제안한다. 멀티채널 기반의 하드웨어 플랫폼은 병렬 프로세스 제어가 가능하고, 서버와의 데이터 전송을 원활하게 해주는 디바이스 인터페이스가 필요하게 되는데, 본 논문에서는 PCI Express 인터페이스를 이용하여 해당 하드웨어 플랫폼을 인식하고, 쓰레드(Thread) 기반으로 멀티채널을 동작시키는 방식으로 인터페이스를 구현하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 인터페이스는 효율적인 제어를 통해 하드웨어 플랫폼과 서버 시스템 사이의 실시간 데이터 전송을 가능하게 하였으며, 멀티채널 기반으로 안정적인 영상 콘텐츠 녹화 및 재생의 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

Performance Analysis of Coded-OFDM for Wireless Multimedia Communication (무선멀티미디어 통신을 위한 Coded-OFDM의 성능 해석)

  • OFDM(orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex) modulates transmitting data with many carriers in parallel. As a result, high-speed data transmission is carried out and high spectral efficiency is provided by overlapping orthogonal frequencies. Therefore, OFDM is applied to many communication systems. In this paper, according to modulation methods(M-PSK and M-QAM), coded-OFDM wireless communication is simulated. Turbo code is used and two channels(virtual and real channel) are used. both channels have multipath delay spread, Gaussian noise, and peak power clipping. As a result of the simulation, coding gain is about 3dB and it is proved that M-QAM modulation is better than M-PSK. Start after striking space key 2 times.

  • Recently Wireless communication among short-distance devices has come to notice due to smart phone generalization recently. However, instead of setting up additional H/W, communication technology providing wireless communication based on S/W is in need due to limited availability of NFC's use. Accordingly, short-distance wireless communication technology that makes great use of mike and speaker which installed in every device draws attention. Our thesis suggests improvement of acoustic transmission speed by applying multi-channel parallel transmission and advancement of transmission rate that differed from each mike's own characteristics through optimizing adaptive threshold. The study is not only just applied in specific and limited conditions such as promoting corporation and payments system but also fast and convenient data transmit system general users-oriented.

  • We design multilevel coding(MLC) with a semi bit-interleaved coded modulation(BICM) scheme based on low density parity check(LDPC) codes. Different from traditional designs, we joint the MLC and BICM together by using the Gray mapping, which can transmit the multimedia data over several equivalent channels with different code rates. To get a good performance from signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) very close to the capacity of the additive white Gaussian noise(AWGN) channel, random regular LDPC code and a simple semi-algebra LDPC(SA-LDPC) code are discussed in MLC with parallel independent decoding(PID). Finally, the numerical results demonstrate that the proposed scheme could achieve both power and bandwidth efficiency for multimedia communication system.

  • In the receiver of optical communication systems, a demultiplexer converts to a single data stream with a highbit rate into several parallel data streams with a low bit rate. In this paper, we design a 1:4 demultiplexer using SiGe HBT with emitter size of 2x8um² The operation speed is 10Gbps, the rise and fall times of 20-80% are37ps and 36ps, respectively and the dissipation of power is 1.40W.

  • The LiDAR sensor is attracting attention as a key sensor for autonomous driving vehicle. LiDAR sensor provides measured three-dimensional lengths within range using LASER. However, as much data is provided to the external system, it is difficult to process such data in an external system or processor of the vehicle. To resolve these issues, we develop integrated processing system for LiDAR sensor. The system is configured that client receives data from LiDAR sensor and processes data, server gathers data from clients and transmits integrated data in real-time. The test was carried out to ensure real-time processing of the system by changing the data acquisition, processing method and process driving method of process. As a result of the experiment, when receiving data from four LiDAR sensors, client and server process was operated using background or multi-core processing, the system response time of each client was about 13.2 ms and the server was about 12.6 ms.

QoS-Guaranteed IP Mobility Management For Fast Moving Vehicles Using Multiple Tunnels (멀티 터널링을 이용한 고속 차량에서 QoS 보장 IP 이동성 관리 방법)

  • In this article, we present a QoS-guaranteed IP mobility management scheme of Internet service for fast moving vehicles with multiple wireless network interfaces. The idea of the proposed mechanism consists of two things. One is that new wireless connections are established to available wireless channels whenever the measured data rate at the vehicle equipped with mobile gateway drops below to the required data rate of the user requirement. The other is that parallel distribution packet tunnels between an access router and the mobile gateway are dynamically constructed using multiple wireless network interfaces in order to guarantee the required data rate during the mobile gateway's movement. By doing these methods, the required data rate of the mobile gateway can be preserved while eliminating the possible delay and packet loss during handover operation, thus resulting in the guaranteed QoS. The architecture of the IETF standard HMIPv6 has been extended to realize the proposed scheme, and detailed algorithms for the extension of HMIPv6 has been designed. Finally, simulation has been done for performance evaluation, and the simulation results show that the proposed mechanism demonstrates guaranteed QoS during the handover with regard to the handover delay, packet loss and throughput.
