As browsing and sharing multimedia contents through various social network services have become very common these days. there has been a rising demand for effectively provide appropriate multimedia contents to users depending on their interest and characteristics. Especially, considering the enormous volume of multimedia contents created daily, user satisfaction heavily depends on effective selection of appropriate multimedia contents. For instance, if the acquisition of contents is based on friends or related people, then it is usually considered to be more trustworthy. Facebook page is one of the social spaces where people can obtain various information of interest. Still, users have difficulty in finding proper information because Facebook generates tremendous amount of data daily. In this paper, we proposed a scheme to extract and select Facebook page contents effectively. In our proposed scheme, users are grouped based on mutual intimacy and Facebook pages of interest are selected based on the ranking of importance. We show the performance of our scheme through experiments.

When we present some information, we can use application programs through multinedia-based authoring tools. Especially.many programers proposed to improve its intergration time and reduce programming speed and easy to use. However, multimedia based authoring tools have not all of programming methodolgies and do not supply special functions from user's request. Therefore, we have to apply effective functions through high-level programming languages.In this paper, we propose to use small appkication prograns through linking methods, So we reduce overhead from memory loading In authoring tools, we can use MCI(media control interface) call functions for playback audio files.we development ATS(Auto Transition System) for several functions-close MCI call audio files, get object status, page-to page trancition.We evidently show that an optimal configuration of presentation obtained by ATS algorithm.

In the latest school spot, practical use about web based multimedia is increasing very greatly. Accordingly, various meta-data element definition to search multimedia data easy is appearing but international standard is presented as the main-stream. Opinion of domestic spot teachers is hardly reflected. Hereupon, in this study, wish to searches multimedia data that is included inside web page reflecting opinion of domestic spot teachers efficiently, defines meta-data element and designs XML DTD for actuality practical use. This study finding sees that can raise public ownership and practical use of multimedia data.

고속 인터넷과 멀티미디어 관련 기술의 발달에 따라 통합 멀티미디어 서비스의 기반 구축이 활발히 진행되고 있으며, 이에 따라 단순 이미지, 텍스트만으로 구성되었던 기존의 웹 서비스 환경은 급격히 변화하고 있다. 그러나, 과거의 정적인 텍스트 위주의 고정된 내용을 표현하는 웹 페이지 저작으로는 멀티미디어에 대한 급격히 증대되는 사용자의 요구를 수용할 수 없게 되었다. 이에 따라 1998년도에 시간에 기반을 둔 멀티미디어 데이터의 통합 및 동기화를 위한 효과적인 프리젠테이션(Presentation)을 기술할 수 있는 SMIL(Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language)이 W3C(World Wide Web Consortium)에 의해 제안되었다. SMIL은 XML(eXended Markup Language)에 기반 한 선언적 마크업(Markup) 언어이며 텍스트 편집기 등으로 쉽게 저작할 수 있으나, 태그(Tag)기반 언어이므로 태그의 사용법을 숙지하여야만 효과적인 멀티미디어 프리젠테이션 제작이 가능하다. 이러한 난점을 극복하기 위해 본 논문에서는 Java를 기반으로 한 SMIL 문서 템플릿 기능과 멀티미디어 소스의 미리 보기 기능을 지원하는 SMIL 저작도구의 설계, 구현에 대하여 서술한다.

멀티코어의 등장과 병렬 프로그래밍의 확산으로 lock-free 동기화 기법에 대한 관심과 필요성이 더욱 커지고 있지만, 대부분의 lock-free 동기화 기법들이 구현 복잡도와 동작시 오버헤드로 인해 실제 활용되는 사례는 미비하다. 하지만, RCU(Read-Copy Update) 기법의 등장으로 다양한 운영체제에서 이를 구현하여 활용하고, 최근에는 게임 서버와 같은 응용 프로그램에서도 이를 활용하려는 시도가 늘어나고 있지만, 기존에 제안된 URCU(Userspace RCU) 기법들은 메모리 순서오류 문제 해결을 위한 메모리 장벽 호출 및 reader와 updater 간의 IPC 등으로 충분한 성능을 보여주지 못하고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 페이지 폴트를 이용한 URCU 기법을 제안하고, 이를 구현하여 기존의 URCU 기법들과 실험을 통하여 평가하였다.

멀티미디어 서버는 시간 제약성을 가지는 멀티미디어 데이터를 정해진 시간 이내에 디스크로부터 검색해야 하므로 디스크 검색 요청 이전에 디스크 서비스 시간을 예측하여 제한된 시간 이내에 종료된다는 것을 보장해야 한다. 리눅스는 자원의 이용률 및 시스템 성능을 향상시키기 위해서 선행 읽기와 페이지 캐쉬 등의 기법들을 사용하고 있는데 이러한 기법들의 사용으로 디스크 서비스 시간은 매우 가변적이게 된다. 본 논문에서는 리눅스 파일 시스템을 개선하여 디스크 서비스 시간의 가변성이 최소화되도록 하고 이를 기반으로 정밀한 회전 지연 시간 모델에 의한 디스크 서비스 시간의 예측 기법을 제안한다.

현재 인터넷의 활성화로 웹 페이지의 활용이 여러 분야로 확산되고 있다. 따라서 도서 및 출판물과 다양한 멀티미디어 컨텐츠도 많은 업체에서 웹을 통한 온라인 방식으로 제공되고 있다. 이러한 온라인 방식을 효율적으로 활용하기 위해서는 오프라인과 비교하여 최대의 약점인 가독성 문제를 해결하기 위한 효율적인 뷰어, 제공자가 컨텐츠 및 회원 정보 등을 체계적으로 관리할 수 있는 통합관리 시스템, 컨텐츠의 복제와 무단배포 방지를 위한 자료의 암호와 사용자의 개인정보를 포함한 클라이언트와 서버간에 전송되는 데이터의 보안을 위한 웹 보안, 온라인 상에서 지불이 가능한 전자 결제 시스템의 제공이 필수 불가결하다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 형태의 자료를 포함하는 멀티미디어 컨텐츠의 온라인 상에서의 효율적인 제공을 위할 통합시스템의 설계 및 구현에 관한 방법을 제시하였다.

When producing a wireless web contents by using wire web contents for PC environment, we should consider how to represent lots of information being suitable with PC environment to wireless devices having narrow performance. Therefore, we propose mobile page editor for manager to select and modify specific contents with the existing wire web page. Also, we try to define an intermediate language based on DID(Digital Item Declaration) of MPEG-21 multimedia framework which defines source of converting information and wireless web contents generating at mobile editor in considering real time service problem when transcoding multimedia information in a web server into wireless device having low resolution, narrow performance of media process, memory, and so on.

This paper proposes an effective keyword extraction method for the Web videos. The proposed method classifies the Web video pages in one of 4 types. As such, we analyzed the structure of the Web pages based on the number of videos and the layout of the Web pages. And then we applied the keyword extraction algorithm fit to each page type. The experiment with 1,087 Web pages that have total 2,462 videos showed that the recall of the proposed extraction method is 18% higher than ImagerRover[2]. So, the proposed method could be used to build a powerful video search system for WWW.
