This study aims to investigate predictors of the subjective well-being of middle-aged single mothers who experienced divorce or bereavement. The study involved 244 divorced or widowed women from the 7th Korean Longitudinal Survey of Women and Families aged 40-60 who had children and were employed. Descriptive statistics and multiple regression analyses were conducted. The research results showed that the socio-demographic characteristic (marital status and health), person-related variables (satisfaction with leisure activity and stress), and work-related variables (job satisfaction and work-family enrichment) were significantly related to happiness of middle-aged single mothers. Current economic status and stress were associated with depression in middle-aged single mothers. Increasing middle-aged single mothers' participation in healthy leisure activities, reducing their stress, and improving their satisfaction with work were found to be important to enhancing their subjective well-being. Regarding the foregoing, policy directions were discussed for middle-aged single mothers' leisure activities, stress management, and improved satisfaction with work.

Modern society features rising incomes, and recreation is considered very important. Unlike the past, the desire for cognition and leisure is expected to accelerate. In addition, modern society realizes life satisfaction through leisure. Therefore, leisure policy is needed to ensure universal access, and facilities for leisure activities are also important factors for leisure activities. Therefore, in this study, we examined the effects of leisure policy on leisure facility satisfaction, and leisure facilities were classified into public facilities and private facilities. In addition, we explored the relationship between leisure perception and leisure use. After establishing the research model, we conducted exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation model analysis based data obtained from questionnaires. Results found leisure policy has a positive effect on satisfaction with public facilities and private facilities, satisfaction with public facilities has a significant effect on leisure perception and leisure utilization, and satisfaction with private facilities has a significant effect on leisure perception. Finally, we analyzed the mediating effects of the parameters, analyzed the effects of the mediating effects on leisure utilization, and presented results.

본 연구는 미 L-A에 거주하는 한국이민 노인들의 특성을 파악하고, 그들의 생활만족도에 기여하는 결정요소들이 무엇인지 가려내며, 그 얻어진 결과를, 동일한 시각과 접근으로 시도되었던 미국 노인들에 대한 선행연구들의 결과와 비교 분석하였다. 연구는 1986년 12월에서 1987년 2월까지 3개월간 미 L-A 카운티에서 거주하는 55세 이상의 한국 이민노인 390명을 대상으로 설문지 조사를 실시하여 그중 192명을 자료분석에 사용하였다. 단계별 중다 회귀분석의 결과, 활동성의 제약정도, 결혼상태, 재정적인 안정, 교육정도, 연령증가 등 5가지 변인들의 특별히 한국노인의 생활만족도가 강한 연관성이 있었고, 반면 자신들이 평가한 건강상태, 지인과의 사회적인 상호작용, 미국거주 년한 등은 노후생활의 안녕에 전혀 직접적인 영향력을 행사하지 못했다. 그러나 자신들이 평가하는 건강상태는, 활동성의 제약 등과 같은 다른 변인에 미치는 효과를 통해서 생활만족도에 간접적으로 강하게 영향을 미치고 있었다. 이러한 결과를 선행연구에서 나타난 서구나 미국노인의 생활만족도 결정의 세 요인인 건강상태, 사회경제적 지위, 사회적 활동성과 비교해 볼때, 사회적 활동성과 연령증가 변인에서 서로 상반되는 대조를 보이고 있었다. 즉, 백인노인들은 나이가 듦에 따라 생활만족도가 낮아지거나 혹은, 연령증가와 생활만족도 사이에 별로 유의할 만한 관계를 보이지 않고 있으나, 본 연구에서의 한국노인은 나이를 먹으면서 오히려 생활만족도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 사회적 활동성은, 백인노인의 생활만족도에 긍정적 혹을 부정적으로 가장 강하게 영향을 미치는 요인중 하나임에 반하여, 한국노인들은 이것이 자신들의 생활만족에 중요한 것이라 믿고는 있었지만 실제 통계학적으로는 영향력을 행사하지 못하는 요인이었다. 주거환경(자식과의 동거여부) 역시, 이제껏 한국사회에서 기대되어왔던 통념과는 달리, 한국노인의 생활만족도에 아무런 영향을 주지 못하고 있었다.

Innovative pharmaceutical company certification support policies have been implemented since 2012. This study was conducted to identify the perceptions of stakeholders and related experts on the formation process and policy satisfaction of this policy, and to identify factors that explain policy satisfaction. The survey was conducted by e-mail and facsimile of the pharmaceutical companies, universities, and government - affiliated research institutes. The effective response rate was 38.4% (61/159). As a result of the cross-sectional survey, the perception of policy necessity was the most positive among the policy formation process, and all the other stages and perception of policy satisfaction were at the medium level. As a result of examining the influential factors related to the variables of the respondents' personal variables and the policy formation process, it is confirmed that the factors that have the greatest influence on the policy satisfaction are the perception of the performance of the certified company. Also, perceptions of appropriateness and follow - up ability were similar in magnitude of impact on policy satisfaction. This study can be used as a basic data to systematically and effectively improve the certification and support policies of innovative pharmaceutical companies based on the consumer's perception. However, due to limitations such as being carried out at the beginning of policy implementation, verification and supplementation are necessary through further research.

본 연구는 청소년기 부모-자녀관계 및 노부모-성인자녀간 결속도가 노인의 생활 만 족도에 미치는 영향을 분석하고 각 변인들간의 인관관계를 알아보고자 하는데 그 목적이 있 다 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다 1)노부모-성인자녀간 결속도는 비교적 높은 편이었으며 청소년기 부모-자녀관계가 애정적.권위적.자율적이고 갈등의 정도가 낮았을수록 높았다. 2) 노인의생활만족도는 청소년기 부모-자녀관계가 애정적.자율적이었으며 갈등의정도가 낮 았을수록 높게 나타났고 권위적 관계였을수록 과거 생활만족도는 높았고 미래 생활만족도는 낮았다 또한 노인의 생활만족도는 현재 성인자녀가 접촉적.정서적 .일치적.기능적.규범 적 결속이 높을수록 높았으며 구조적 결속에 따라서는 차이가 없었다 3) 노인의 생활만족도 에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 변인은 청소년기 부모-자녀관계중 갈등적 관계였다.

This study was conducted to survey 1,067 adult learners who are attending lifelong education center in universities in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, and Chungcheongnam-do in order to understand educational satisfaction and its effects factors. Educational satisfaction is composed the following factors: overall satisfaction, instructor, education contents, education methods, educational facilities and environment, and staff service. Also, we had a conditional factor in educational satisfaction for this survey; for example, the analysis of correlation at the education satisfaction variables between age, region, and gender. The key study results are as follows. First, the overall educational satisfaction was higher than the level of averages in the lifelong institute of the universities. Second, the highest factor was the satisfaction at the adult learners which is instructors in their curriculums among various factors; however, the staff service was the lowest. The third, the main variables influencing educational satisfaction were instructors, education contents, and facilities and environments of the institutes. To be specific, the explanatory power of these three variables was about 36 percent of the total effects on the satisfaction of education. Therefore, the implication for managing the lifelong education institutes for the adult learners are that the institutes and universities should have a priority in these areas: instructors, education contents, and facilities and environments.

This study analyzed the perception of effectiveness and satisfaction according to learners' background variables and characteristics in online gifted education program. The participants included 630 middle and high school students who attended the 3-months online gifted program. Participants volunteerly surveyed on background and characteristics such as gender, grade, subjects, self-efficacy of internet, and self-regulated learning, and the effectiveness and satisfaction of the online gifted education program. T-test, ANOVA, and MANOVA were conducted to analyze the effect of students' background and characteristics on various dependent variables. The results of this study showed that (1) overall, participants perceived the effectiveness of the online gifted program positively; (2) participants perceived the satisfaction of the online gifted program positively. In specific, they perceived system satisfaction higher than interaction satisfaction. (3) the personal characteristics which impacted on both effectiveness and satisfaction were grade, self-efficacy of internet, and self-regulated learning. Suggestion for the online gifted education program were discussed.

The purpose of the study is to identify the relationship among the variables related learner's satisfaction, flow experience and self-directedness and verify the path model of causal relationship among those variables in web based computer e-learning. Based on the theoretical rationale, we hypothesized the path model including learner's satisfaction as outcome variable, flow experience and self-directedness as causal and mediating variables. A total of 193 students were participated in this study and the main results showed as follows: 1. Learner's self-directedness showed significant (p<.01), indirect effect on learner's satisfaction mediated by flow experience and the flow experience showed significant (p<.01), direct effect on learner's satisfaction; 2. Among 7 constructs of self-directedness, 'creative approach', 'love of learning', 'self-confidence as a learner' showed significant (p<.01), indirect effects on learner's satisfaction mediated by 'clear goals' construct among flow experience.

Job satisfaction impacts on the turnover intention of employee, which affects the turnover behavior. This paper concerns with the impact of job satisfaction on the turn over behavior. Since turnover intention is highly correlated with job satisfaction, salary, employment status and etc, we should pay careful attention for modelling of those variables as independent variables and the turnover behavior as a dependent variable in the empirical study for the impact of factors on turnover behavior. We detect significant variables which effect the turnover behavior using 2-stage logistic regression inserting the turnover intention, an independent variable, with the chance estimates derived from the instrumental variables in Graduates Occupational Mobility Survey.

This study examines gender differentials in depression among Korean older adults. Using logistic regression and decomposition methods, this study analyzes factors that predict depression of a full sample and separate male/female samples, respectively. Further, this study decomposes factors that affect gender differentials in depression into two components: the distributions of individual variables and the returns to risk. This study finds the variables that separately predict depression by gender. For male, having a smaller social network is associated with depression; however for female, the number of falls is associated with depression. This study also finds that being married, having greater satisfaction with current financial situation, and having good physical health increases the gap between males' and females'depression. Married male have greater returns from marriage than females. If females had the same returns as male, then the gap would have decreased by about 40%.
