The Attitude on Introduction for Total Amount in Terrestrial Broadcasting Television: Comparison of Public and Professional Awareness (지상파 TV에 광고총량제 도입에 대한 태도: 일반인과 전문가 인식비교)

  • Era of multi-channel digital multimedia on the Internet, cable, satellite and IPTV and the growth of new media such as terrestrial broadcast advertising with the poor rating has also dropped sharply. In this situation, terrestrial TV suggesting the introduction for total amount system appearing comments. In this study, the introduction of these intermediate advertising the public and professional awareness about the issue by comparing the introduction for total amount advertising feasibility was done in the purpose. The results were as follows. First, Studies on terrestrial TV suggesting the introduction of total amount system and public opinion about the differences in perception between experts is high. Second, Both the public and professionals about the total amount system preferred application stage were in favor of gradual for/limited permit cross-media. Third, the general population was higher than the positive response from experts about the benefits of the total amount system. Finally, the general public about the disadvantages of the total amount system they were more positive response than the experts. The introduction for total amount system validity of these data for future total amouny system to provide a basis for enforcement is expected to give.

  • 아날로그 방송에서 디지털 방송으로의 전환은 흑백 TV에서 칼라 TV로의 전환보다 더욱 혁신적인 변화이다. 이러한 디지털 방송 기술의 핵심이 되고 있는 것이 바로 서비스정보(Sl : Service Information)이다. 본 논문에서는 국내 위성방송 표준인 유럽방식의 디지털 방송(DVB : Digital Video Broadcasting)에 대한 서비스정보 수신기의 효과적인 구조 및 구현 방법을 제시한다.

  • 디지털 방송의 시작으로 TV를 통한 디지털 데이터의 저장과 가공 및 전송이 가능해졌다. 이러한 데이터 방송은 디지털 방송의 활성화에 중요한 역할을 하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 국내외의 디지털 방송의 표준화 현황 및 기술 동향을 살펴본다. 또한 현재 세계적으로 주류를 이루고 있는 미국의 ATSC 데이터 방송 규격과 유럽의 DVB 데이터 방송 규격을 비교 분석하여 향후 국내의 데이터 방송 모델 정립에 이용하고자 한다.

  • 본고에서는 최근 TV, PC, 이동전화에 이어 제4의 스크린 미디어로써 새로운 스크린을 이용자에게 제공할 수 있는 디지털 사이니지 서비스의 확산과 글로벌 시장 창출을 촉진시키기 위해 추진되고 있는 디지털 사이니지 관련 국제 및 국내 표준화 동향에 대해 알아본다. 특별히, 최근 ITU-T와 W3C를 중심으로 추진되고 있는 디지털 사이니지 서비스에 대한 글로벌 표준화 작업 추진 동향 관련 최근 현황에 대해 소개한다.

  • The number of broadcasting channels and contents are increasing with the arrival of digital broadcast and various broadcasting medium. However, there is a limit on searching of the program by using conventional program guide. Therefore, personalized broadcasting service to provide the environment, that user is able to consume his/her customized broadcasting contents at anytime, is standardized by TV-Anytime Forum. Especially. the structure of data broadcasting contents have different from that of AV contents. Therefore, it is necessary to new structure of the metadata for personalized data broadcasting service and new mechanism for data flow of broadcasting system. In this paper, we introduce a method for personalized data broadcasting service using TV-Anytime metadata.

A Study of minimization of Playback Loss Time on IP-TV Platform based on TIT (TIT 기반에 IP-TV 플랫폼의 재생 소실 시간 최소화에 관한 연구)

  • Since the DirectTV started its digital broadcasting services in 1994 for the first time in the U.S., digital broadcasting widened its services in many areas. In korea, TIT(Transport Information Technology) based IP-TV services have been provided in Saemaeul trains and some sections of subway trains. But the software systems for the service performed in alternated fashions and suffered from many problems such as suspension, memory leaking and overflow. These problems increased playback loss time and resulted in bad reliabilities. In this paper, a software TIT monitor is designed and implemented for the TIT system in physically poor environments. The designed system formalized monitoring time intervals for effective monitoring. Through the real experiments, playback time is improved in 14% comparing to existing system.
