Curriculum of IoT by IPC Code Analysis of Patents (특허문헌의 IPC 코드 분석에 의한 사물인터넷 분야 교육과정에 관한 연구)

  • We analyzes representative technologies of IoT patents and reflects these results in the curriculum of IoT. In order to identify the representative technologies, the IPC codes of the patents were analyzed. Among the main category IPC codes, the most used IPC codes were H04L in Single IPC Patent with 974 cases(32.0%) and G06Q in Multiple IPC Patent with 710 cases(29.2%). As a result of classifying the IPC code into the WIPO technology classification system, the most emphasized technologies are Digital Communication, accounting for about 60.5% in the Single IPC Patent and IT Methods for Management(710 cases, 29.2%) in Multiple IPC Patent. The main points to be considered when organizing the curriculum of IoT are: ∇Emphasis on Digital Communication, ∇Expansion of Education related to IT Methods for Management(Including entrepreneurship and patent application), and ∇Consideration of subjects related to the Convergence of IoT. This research can contribute to the curriculum design of new industrial technologies such as AI and Fintech.

  • In this paper, the effective transmission method is proposed to save the energy and to increase the throughput of the communication system using adaptive modulation. Traditionally, adaptive modulation has been used to improve the throughput using the power margin of the system design. Considering the instantaneous energy during the modulation method changing duration, the effective transmission method is proposed. By the simulation, the performance and effectiveness is validated.

  • In this paper, we developed a system that output and service using vairous contents with the inspection and management industry facilities in the operating system based on wireless network. This system can output to the display device at the same time, work management and a variety of content to the inspection facilities. And it outputs received contents of the advertising service provider in real-time. Therefore, this system support real-time facility management and various contents in the building at the same time.

  • Power line for digital home appliances has own property that transmitting power connected to loads. Especially, power line communication(PLC) for the home network which has characteristics of load fluctuation makes variable noise characteristics. It becomes serious problems to maintain efficient communication performance. Thus, in this paper, we present an optimal modulation and demodulation method through mathematical analysis of each measured load fluctuation based on PLC for home appliances. To analyze and compare various modem methods presented in this paper, we analyzed them normally via computer simulation under various noise channel environments according to various load fluctuations. In addition, we certified its availability through hardware implementation.

  • As the society has developed into a digital information age society, a lot of electronic communication equipments are popularized. However, there are various causes of noise during signal transmission between communication devices. The noise generated in the communication system is a white noise that is distributed evenly in all frequency bands. This white noise causes system errors and lowers reliability. Therefore, in this paper, the existing Gaussian filter, Median filter, Alpha trimmed mean filter, and min/max filter for removing white noise are described and the characteristics and performance of each filter are compared with each other.

  • 디지털 케이블TV서비스는 헤드엔드(Head-End)센터로부터 QoS (Quality of Service)가 보장되는 케이블 HFC(Hybrid FiberCable)망을 통해 디지털 영상 방송이나 양방향서비스를 가입자 단말까지 제공하는 방송 통신 융합서비스이다. 본 고에서는 디지털 케이블TV 서비스를 제공하기 위한 디지털 케이블 네트워크 기술에 대해서 설명하고, 디지털 방송 및 양방향 서비스를 송출하는 방송센터시스템과 디지털 방송 기술에 대해 알아본 후 마지막으로 디지털 케이블TV의 향후 전망에 대해서 살펴보기로 한다.

Design of a Multi-Band Network Selection System for Seamless Maritime Communication Networks (단절 없는 해상 통신 네트워크를 위한 멀티대역 네트워크선택기 시스템 설계)

  • As digital communication technology evolves, the diversity of maritime communication methods has benn increasing due to the emergence of new maritime communication technologies such as digital very high frequency (VHF) communication systems and LTE-M as well as traditional conventional maritime communication systems. At sea, all maritime communication methods may be available, but only some communication methods may be available depending on the location. In this paper, we propose a multi-band network selection (MNS) system that can provide seamless maritime communication service by switching to an optimal communication band among available communication systems, depending on network environment and user requirements. The proposed MNS system in the middleware layer is designed to be able to interface with two types of digital VHF communication systems that satisfy Annex 1 and Annex 4 of ITU-R M. 1842-1, LTE, and high frequency (HF) communication systems. We assign priority to each communication band, and design an optimal communication band determination algorithm based on this priority.
