Examination of validation for equivalent gas to replace natural gas (천연가스를 모사하는 등가가스의 유효성 검토)

  • In order to estimate the combustion characteristics and the gas interchangeability for natural gas with various compositions per each production area, equivalent gas are using to replace natural gas. It is known that an equivalent gas has the same the heating value, the compression factor, the relative density, CO emission and the burning velocity as the original natural gas. However, it is not reported that the flame shape and thermal efficiency and NOx emission by real gas appliance. In this study, equivalent gas was examined the validation to replace natural gas. The CO emission the burning velocity and the flame temperature were reconfirmed, and the flame shape, the NOx emission and the thermal efficiency were numerically and experimentally investigated. As results, there was not a large difference between natural gas and equivalent gas. This result demonstrated that there was no problem using equivalent gas to replace natural gas.

  • 포텐셜 자료의 해석을 위해서는 상하향 연속을 이용하는 경우가 많다. 빠른 계산과 다양한 적용성 때문에 FFT(Fast Fourier Transform)을 이용한 상하향 연속을 주로 사용하는데, FFT를 적용하기 위해서는 격자망 형태로 얻어진 자료가 필요하다. 현장 중자력 자료는 보통 산발적(scattered)으로 얻어지기 때문에 FFT를 수행하기 위하여 격자망 자료로 변환하는 격자화(gridding) 과정에서 계산적인 오차가 발생한다. 반면 등가샘(equivalent source) 방법은 주어진 자료에 맞는 가상의 샘(source)들의 조합을 생성하고, 구해진 샘들의 조합으로부터 임의의 영역에서 필드값을 구하므로 격자화 과정이 필요없다. 이 연구의 목적은 등가샘 방법의 필요성을 보이고 여러 가지 등가샘 알고리즘을 비교분석하고 현장 자료에 사용하기 적합한 등가샘 방법들을 보여주는데 있다. 그림 1에서 보듯이 FFT를 사용한 상향 연속은 FFT 이론상 전 영역에 대한 적분이 필요하나 현장에서는 일부분의 자료만을 획득할 수 있으므로 상향 연속에서 정확한 자력값으로 연속을 수행하는 것은 불가능하다. 그러나 주어진 값들로 등가샘을 구성하여 상향 연속을수행한 결과는 상대적으로 보다 정확한 해에 도달한다. 또한 등가샘 방법을 이용한 연속의 장점은 그림 2와 같이 얻어진 자료의 높이가 서로 다른 자료를 주어진 높이로 연속을수행할 수 있다는 점이다. 또한 한번 등가샘들을 구성하면 이를 이용하여 격자화, 필터링 등을 해석을 위한 기초 자료처리에 적용할 수 있다.

Terminological Misuses and Institutional Coherence in Electoral Systems (선거제도의 개념 오용과 정합성: 비례대표성을 중심으로)

  • In the process of changing the Korean electoral system, various terms such as representation, majority, minority, plurality, and proportionality are not used correctly, making normative judgment on its desirable electoral system difficult. This paper clarifies the concepts and terminology related to the electoral system in order to enable proper normative discussion. First, the misuse of the names of the electoral system is reviewed. This includes the majority representative system versus the minority representative system, the single-member constituency versus the multi-member constituency, the absolute majority system versus the relative majority system, and the majority representative system versus the proportional representative system. Next, the principles of representation, proportionality, democracy, direct ballot, and equal ballot are discussed to evaluate the decisions made by the Constitutional Court of Korea. In the current electoral system of the National Assembly, the equivalence between its constituency member and its proportional representation member is very low in terms of proportionality between votes received and seats allotted. Finally, the coherence between proportional representation and other political institutions is examined. Strengthening the proportionality of parliamentary elections alone does not necessarily increase the proportionality of the entire power structure.

Finite Element Simulation of Fracture Toughness Test (파괴인성시험의 유한요소 시뮬레이션)

  • Finite element simulations of tensile tests were performed to determine the equivalent stress - equivalent plastic strain curves, critical equivalent stresses, and critical equivalent plastic strains. Then, the curves were used as inputs to finite element simulations of fracture toughness tests to determine the plane strain fracture toughness. The critical COD was taken as the COD when the equivalent plastic strain at the crack tip reached a critical value, and it was used as a crack growth criterion. The relationship between the critical COD and the critical equivalent plastic strain or the reduction of area was found. The relationship between the plane strain fracture toughness and the product of the critical equivalent stress and the critical equivalent plastic strain was also found.

  • 본 논문에서는 접지면에 스파이럴 형태로 식각된 패턴을 갖는 DGS (Defected Ground Structure) 전송선로가 제시되었다. 제시된 스파이럴 DGS 회로에 대한 새로운 등가회로 모델을 제안하였고 등가회로의 각 파라미터는 EM-시뮬레이션과 DGS의 공진 특성 조건식으로부터 유도하였다. 스파이럴 DGS의 등가회로는 λ/2 단락 전송선로와 병렬로 연결된 인턱터로 구성된 비교적 간단한 구조로 제시되었다. 등가회로의 각 파라미터를 추출하고 기존의 아령 형태의 DGS 회로와 특성을 비교하여 장단점에 따른 그 응용성을 고찰하였다.

  • The purpose of this paper was to find examples of a group of interpretations while biased toward the translation of the manuscripts of Myeongnology, and to apply the criteria of the translation of the manuscripts of Myeongnology in accordance with the criteria of SIN(信), DAL(達), and AH(雅) of EOM-BOK. Since the original author's intention should be faithfully reflected, the translation of the original book should be applied to the interpretation required at that time based on the translation corresponding to SIN(信), the translation corresponding to DAL(達) and the AH(雅) translation corresponding to the elegant interpretation. Translation is the most important purpose of implementing equivalence in the intentions of the original author, so the equivalence of the Source language and the Taget language should be observed even in the differences of expression. Up until now, the question of the translation of the nouns has mainly focused on the translation of the stylistic system by focusing on trying to overcome the structural differences of the language. Translation now requires the implementation of semantic equivalence as well as primarily a stylistic approach. This researcher wanted to open a new horizon for the study of classical literature in Myong-hak by presenting a standard for the translation of robes that achieve the intent and equivalence of the original author in the translation of the original text.

  • Vertical reinforcement of soft ground using granular column is a very effective ground improvement technique which is being used fur increasing bearing capacity and decreasing settlement. In this study, the theories of elasticity and plasticity including the upper bound theorem of limit analysis were used to derive the equations for obtaining elastic properties and shear strength parameter of equivalent ground of composite foundation. The developed equations were verified using the finite element computer program, SAGE CRISP. For validation, finite element analyses were conducted f3r the various different cases including different type of soil and replacement ratios. The results of the analysis show that the proposed equation could determine the properties of equivalent ground material for practical application effectively.

  • 본 논문에서는 대역통과 필터특성을 위해 통과대역의 상단과 하단의 저지대역에서 감쇄극을 갖는 두 종류의 새로운 마이크로스트립 구조를 제안한다. 이 구조는 TEM모드의 유전체 공진기를 마이크로스트립선로에 용량성 또는 유도성의 병렬 포스트와 연결하여 구성된다. 제안한 구조에 대한 등가회로를 추출하였다. 이 구조의 S-파라미터를 실험과 등가회로 시뮬레이션으로 구하였고, 그리고 유도성포스트의 경우는 3D-FDTD 계산을 추가하여 서로를 비교하였는데 등가회로 모델이 이들 결과와 매우 잘 일치하였다.

Prediction of Equivalent Elastic Modulus for Flexible Textile Composites according to Waviness Ratio of Fiber Tows (섬유다발의 굴곡도에 따른 유연직물복합재료의 등가탄성계수 예측)

  • In this study, the equivalent elastic modulus of flexible textile composites was predicted by nonlinear finite element analysis. The analysis was carried out considering the material nonlinearity of fiber tows and the geometrical nonlinearity during large deformation using commercial analysis software, ABAQUS. To account for the geometrical nonlinearity due to the large shear deformation of fiber tows, a user defined material algorithm was developed and inserted in ABAQUS. In results, nonlinear stress-strain curve for the flexible textile composites under uni-axial tension was predicted from which effective elastic modulus was obtained and compared to the test result. The effective elastic moduli were calculated for the various finite element models with different waviness ratio of fiber tow.

  • Explosions of vapor cloud formed due to the leakage from installations with flammable fuels have often occurred in Korea and foreign countries. In this study, TNT equivalency method and Multi-Energy method for vapor cloud explosion blast modelling are described and demonstrated in a case study. As TNT equivalency method is simple and direct, it has been widely used for modelling a vapor cloud explosion blast. But TNT equivalency method found to be difficult to select a proper correlation between the amount of combustion energy produced from the vapor cloud explosion and the equivalent amount of TNT to model its blast effects. Multi-Energy method assumes that the strength of vapor cloud explosion blast depends on the layout of the space where the vapor cloud is spreading. Strictly speaking, the explosive potential of a vapor cloud is dependent upon the density of the obstructed regions. In this study, Flixborough accident are analyzed as a case study to assess the applicability of TNT equivalency method and Multi-Energy method. TNT equivalency method and Multi-Energy method found to be applicable if coefficient of TNT equivalency and coefficient of strength of explosion blast are selected properly.
