Realization Method for Landscape Architecture Design Using Virtual Reality Technology - Focused on the Residential Garden Design - (가상현실(VR)기법을 이용한 조경설계 구현방법 - 주택정원 설계 중심으로 -)

  • The Fourth Industrial Revolution, centered on intelligence and information, began to take hold in 2016. This study uses virtual reality technology, which is the most popular technology of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The purpose of this study is to explore a Virtual Walk-through method, which can be easily applied to landscape architecture. At present, virtual reality technology is widely used in the fields of games, emergency training, and architectural design. However, in the field of landscape architecture, it is still in the development stage. In addition, most of the traditional ways to display virtual reality use 2D images, but such methods have some limitations. Therefore, this research addresses the three stages of "design-exhibition-experience" and puts forward a new simple method called 'Virtual Walk-through' that breaks from traditional landscape design exhibitions. The results show that compared with traditional methods, virtual reality has many advantages, such as the freedom of experience, a diversity of viewing angles, information supply, interaction, etc. It can show high quality images and effects, which are suitable for landscape design. It provides an evaluation method for garden design that can be utilized in the future. It is simple and has value as it can reflect the method and the expected effects. Virtual reality technology can bring an infinite number of prospects to the development of landscape architecture.

An UDT(Up-Down Tree) Routing Algorithm for Energy-Efficient Topology Construction in Wireless Sensor Networks (무선 센서 네트워크에서 에너지 효율적인 토폴로지 구성을 위한 Up-Down Tree 라우팅 알고리즘)

  • Since wireless sensor networks consist of nodes with the constrained battery, it is important to construct the topology performing energy-efficient routing while maximizing the whole network lifetime. Previous works related to this do not take into consideration the specific communication pattern in wireless sensor networks. In this paper, we propose a novel routing algorithm, called Up-Down Tree(UDT), which first constructs the tree topology based on distance and then adjusts the transmission range determined by the two different phases, tree setup and data gathering, to adapt the specific communication pattern in wireless sensor networks. Therefore, the UDT can improve energy efficiency, maximize the network lifetime, and block network partition Simulation results show that the UDT has the improved energy efficiency by constructing the optimal topology.

  • Virtual router redundancy protocol (VRRP) was designed as a solution to support fast fail-over in case of network failure. There exists virtual router which acts as default gateway in LAN, and the virtual router is dynamically elected between master and backup router. Through this protocol, end-hosts can be provided seamless network service. However, it needs expensive license fees and maintenance costs to adopt current commercial network operating systems. Furthermore, they are commonly enterprise proprietary software and inherently closed source. In order to tackle these problem, Open N2OS which is open source based open network software platform was developed. It has no dependency on hardware equipment, and provides high availability, scalability, various networking functions. In this paper, we handle VRRP operation and mechanism with related command line interface (CLI).

Studies on Introducing Performance of RFID System (RFID 시스템 도입성과에 관한 통합적 연구)

  • Modern corporations are faced with widespread, dynamic and accelerating changes. To better cope with the external and internal changes, corporations often utilize information technologies such as RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification). To date, RFID research has mainly focused on adoption strategies and intention on RFID, construction case. The purpose of this study is to examine qualitative and quantitative performance on RFID. To validate the research model proposed in the study, filed survey was conducted with 67 in company using RFID. Then, we compare their quantitative financial results after the introduction of RFID in order to measure the performance of the RFID. The results of the study can be summarized as follows. First, the relation among qualitative factors showed significant correlations. Second, the difference of financial metrics was existed after the adopting RFID. Third, significant difference was observed among financial ratio. Fourth, the correlation between qualitative and quantitative performance showed no significant relations.

  • 한국건설기술연구원내에 세계 최초로 UHPC(초고성능 콘크리트)를 활용한 보도사장교를 설계 및 시공하여 공용중이다. 초고성능 콘크리트(UHPC, Ultra High Performance Concrete)는 기존의 콘크리트의 단점을 극복하기 위하여 강섬유 및 혼화재료를 사용하여 고강도화와 더불어 인장강도, 휨강도, 균열에 대한 저항성, 전단강도 및 내충격성을 대폭 개선시켜서 구조부재의 연성 및 강도를 확보하기 위해 개발된 것으로서 한국건설기술연구원이 독자적 연구를 바탕으로 UHPC를 개발하였고, KICT-UHPC의 특성을 충분히 반영한 보도사장교를 한국건설기술원내에 실구조물로 시공하였다. 한국건설기술연구원내 본관 1, 2동 연결 보도사장교(SUPER BRIDGE 1)의 진동실험을 통해 UHPC 보도사장교의 동특성(고유진동수 및 모드형상)을 평가하였다. 대상교량에는 보도사장교의 캔틸레버 구조 특성에 의해 발생하는 진동을 제어하기 위한 질량 264kg의 난간형 수직진동제어장치(TMD) 4대가 설치되어 있으며, 부가질량의 운동을 기계적으로 구속하거나 구속을 해제하여 TMD의 작동을 켜거나 끌 수 있도록 되어있다. TMD의 가동 및 정지시 동특성을 비교하는 정밀한 검증 실험을 통하여 TMD 설치에 의한 동특성의 변화도 평가하였다. 가진망치에 의한 충격실험으로부터 획득한 가속도 시간이력 데이터와 가진망치의 가진력 시간이력 데이터를 사용하여 주파수응답함수(FRF, frequency response function)를 계산하고, 이로부터 Super Bridge I의 동적모드형상과 고유진동수를 추출하였다. 1차 모드의 고유진동수는 TMD 정지시 2.2949 Hz, TMD 작동시 2.0996 Hz로서 8%정도 감소하였다. 충격해머에 의한 가진 실험을 통해 세계 최초로 시공한 UHPC 보도사장교의 진동특성과 관련한 신뢰성 있는 자료를 확보할 수 있었다.

  • Services system which has been emerging as a new way of application development utilizes services as fundamental units for developing a system. Services system can offer services within web environment as well as the ubiquitous environment where mobile devices are connected to wired or wireless network. In order to provide the functionality that meets users' requirements, the most appropriate service should be selected among candidate services by taking requests and context information into account. Therefore, it is important that the service system should provide services to users by dynamically adapting to users' requirements and context information. Since different users request same functionality with different context information, one service can be differently offered to users so that variability can happen to the service systems. Most researches on context-aware systems have a tendency to solve dynamic adaptation by using more or less ad hoc manner In this paper, we consider various types of services which are performed according to context information as variability and propose adaptable architecture by applying concepts of product line architecture in order to deal with variabilities systematically.

  • Recent heterogeneous network management researches on information security, however, deal only with simple management using PKI and could not sufficiently address the different kinds of security problems that could arise in a heterogeneous network. Thus, various security requirements should first be satisfied and a security management protocol should first be developed to achieve a secure heterogeneous network. Hence, in this paper, various secure and effective heterogeneous network management that address security issues, which were merely a consideration in existing studies, are proposed. The proposed scheme for the protection of the user privacy is the central object and static middle objects of the process used to mutual authentication, also if communication between users is required 1-out-2 oblivious transfer to communicate by using secret communication, as well as the effectiveness and security conscious approach. Specially The proposed scheme is designed to enhance security and efficiency related to various services required in heterogeneous network, based on the reliable peripheral devices for TTP. Using Mobile device, which has been applied to electronic commerce transactions in existing schemes, this study also proposed an appropriate management scheme that is suitable for a dynamic environment and setting a temporary group to provide various services.

Analysis of the Influence of Track Alignment on Ride Comfort and Safety of KTX (방향틀림이 KTX 주행거동에 미치는 영향 분석)

  • Track irregularities is one of the key factors influencing the running behavior of trains. In order to ensure safety and ride comfort of train, the criteria for track irregularities should be adequately established regarding vehicle velocity, vehicle characteristics, characteristics of the track recording car, and measurement interval. Also, track maintenance should be carried out thoroughly according to the criteria for managing track irregularities. Numerical analysis was conducted to investigate the influence of track alignment on the running behavior of Korean high speed train(KTX). Various wavelengths and amplitudes of lateral alignment were considered as parameters for this study using the Vampire program, a vehicle dynamics modeling package in railway environment. Derailment, lateral load, bogie acceleration and body acceleration of numerical analysis results due to alignment were investigated. Finally, the influence of the alignment on safety and ride comfort for the KTX was evaluated. This study indicates that alignment irregularities have significant impacts on running safety, and that the criteria used to manage alignment irregularities should be restrictive to ensure the running safety of the KTX.

  • Conventionally, 2WS is used for vehicle sleeting, which can only steering front wheel. In case of trying to high speed slalom or emergency through this kind of vehicle equipped 2WS, it may occur much of side slip angle. On the other hand, 4WS makes decreasing of side slip angle, outstandingly, so it is possible to support vehicle movement stable. And conventional ABS and TCS can only possible control the longitudinal movement of braking equipment and drive which can only availab to control of longitudinal direction. There after new braking system ESP was developed, which controls both of longitudinal and lateral, with adding of the function of controlling Active Yaw Moment. On this paper, we show about not only designing of improed braking and steering system through establishing of the integrated control system design of 4WS and ESP but also designing of the system contribute to precautious for advanced vehicle stability problem.

  • Architectural cultural properties suffer a lot of damage due to various environmental factors. In order to preserve damaged cultural properties, preventive preservation and long-term preservation management are becoming more important. Therefore, research on a scientific non-destructive testing method applicable to regular inspection is required. For related research, DangGan with a high flag-pole shape was selected as the subject of study among various cultural properties. Among the preserved DangGans, a basic study was conducted on the analysis technique to evaluate the structural stability by selecting Treasure No. 49 Naju SeokDangGan. An idealized model was presented and a multi-degree of freedom equation of motion was derived. In addition, an equation for estimating the critical stiffness value for each joint position is presented.
