There is a strong need to develop a training program for specialized personnel called mental health librarian. The study examines the necessity of ongoing education as series of steps to be considered in actual curriculum development, by looking at the features of bibliotherapy through a literature review and through an analysis to the requirements of a qualified mental health librarian and its training system. The result shows that, in order to train librarian in mental health, it is necessary to establish courses corresponding to the bibliotherapy field within the subject of library and information sciences and to strengthen the specialization in the its curriculum. It is desirable to establish the mental health librarian educational programs in library and information science graduate programs in Korea. The results of this study, as fundamental data for future research, will promote the role of the specialized mental health librarian and guidelines for developing and expanding the qualities and training of specialized librarian to resolve the immediate problem of the Korean library scene and academia.

Reading education in elementary school is being performed without connection between the curriculums and is searching for a diversified method of reading education. There are other problems in reading education such as absence of several reading education programs lack of experts with field experiences and difficulties in practicing a continuous reading education due to the emotional and disconnection between school and home. We designed a web-based reading education support system as a supplement for the reading education in which an electronic library and information about each reading-related activity can be shared. This reading education support system based on internet can connect reading education to the students everyday life. The electronic library can activate reading education by providing book management, a bulletin about the impression of a book and the information on recommended books. In addition, this electronic library can develop various reading education programs and can strengthen the relationship between school and home. This system also can make knowledge and information related activities after reading books be commonly available to all schools through the realization module, according to school and class. Therefore, various material related to reading education can be shared and statistical works are possible with the system we developed in this study.

The attitudes and interests of parents toward having better interrelationships with their children will have the greatest positive impact on the mental health of a growing child. The purpose of this study is to elicit how to effectively use bibliotherapy to promote interaction between parents and children. Based on action research methods, and in order to achieve the research objectives, the parent-child bibliotherapy target program was divided into two "lanes" and a total of 25 iterations were performed or observed for every process in detail and with different technologies. According to the result, the bibliotherapy helps improve parent-child interaction.

The 2015 revised curriculum aims to cultivate creative convergence talent. In this regard, SW education needs to study various convergence education methods to enhance computational thinking. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of SW convergence education centered on reading education and robot utilization education to improve computing thinking ability. For this purpose, SW education teaching and learning was designed by combining SW education using card coding-based robots with reading education based on interactive works and reading on the whole work. As a result, the convergence education between reading and SW improved all three areas of the concept, practice, and perspective of computational thinking ability and increased the learner's satisfaction.

This paper investigates the integration strategies of school library into school's curriculum from a institutional point of view. For this purpose, this study compares and analyze the role and relationship of school library media program to school's curriculum in Korea, U.S., Japan. Basing on the comparative result, it proposed the school library relation element that must include in national level curriculum in Korea. To the element which it proposes it includes the compulsion assignment of school library assisted instruction. the time allocation of reading and information literacy instruction, the scope and sequence of information literacy instruction, the flexible schedule.

The purpose of this study was to compare what meanings of earth science pre-service teachers and primary pre-service teachers about science books and reading through science disciplinary reading and how their thoughts on science education are reflected in the science disciplinary reading process. For the study, 24 third-year students majoring in earth science education and 25 second-year students majoring in primary education were selected as subjects for the study at a teacher training college located in the central part of Korea. As a result of the study, first, earth science pre-service teachers used disciplinary reading a lot to acquire knowledge of science content, but primary pre-service teachers used it for the purpose of using it in class, scientific interest, and curiosity solution. Second, earth science pre-service teachers and primary pre-service teachers showed differences in their thinking in using science related books for science education. While earth science pre-service teachers rarely described the use of science books in their classes, primary pre-service teachers actively described science classes. Third, from the perspective of science disciplinary reading, primary pre-service teachers were more actively emphasizing the meaning of disciplinary reading compared to earth science pre-service teachers. In light of the research results that the reading activity in science has a lot of effect, it is thought that a wide range of research on science disciplinary reading should be conducted as a teaching strategy in school field classes.

The study has developed the scope and sequence of information literacy instruction's curriculum for integration strategies of traditional reading education, library use education and information literacy. Reading ability has been widely considered as one of the basic skills that every student should be conversant with because higher level of thinking power can be acquired through reading. Reading education allows students to build correct way of thinking as well as foster critical thinking ability. However, it can be observed that reading education has not been well addressed accordingly in schools mainly because teachers have only limited amount of time and ability to cope with. In this paper, we developed a Web-based peer evaluation system for improving reading and writing ability so that students are allowed to exchange ideas freely on the Web after reading books as well as evaluate other students' writings, which would facilitate reflective thinking through the computer-mediated communication activities. Students become graders of other students' writings so that they are exposed to different opinions and ideas through which deeper thoughts can be obtained. The learner-centered learning activity instead of teacher-centered may benefit students as well as teachers and the system implementing this idea shows that both students' attitudes and preferences were improved as the result of applying the system to a local elementary school.

서울출판인포럼은 지난 10일 서울 조선호텔에서 가진 조찬모임에 이해찬 교육부 장관을 초청, '교육과 출판' 을 둘러싼 광범위한 의견을 나눴다. 이장관은 교육부가 초.중.고 권장도서목록을 올해 안에 선정할 수 있도록 30명으로 이뤄진 '새로운공동체추진위원회'(가칭)를 이달 25일까지 발족시키고, 이를 강력히 실천할 수 있도록 지역단위의 '새교육공동체 시민모임'의 정착에 간접지원하겠으며, 독서가 학교 교과과정의 한 형태로 자리잡을 수 있도록 제도화하겠다고 밝혔다. 교육의 입장에서 바라본 이장관의 독서와 출판에 대한 시각과 함께 출판인과 나눈 대화 내용을 정리해 싣는다.
