  • A dual probe laser Doppler vibrometer (LDV) that has one laser source and provides two independent object beams has been developed for the first time. An electronic circuit that converts light signal to electronic signal has been also developed using phase locked loop(PLL). It was found that this types of dual probe LDV can be used in differential mode and self-vibration compensation mode.

  • This paper presents an auxiliary beam-assisted adaptive compensation technique applied to alleviate the problem of LDV's body vibration. The LMS algorithm is applied to adaptively compensate the body vibration utilizing the reference signal provided by the auxiliary beam. The usefulness of the proposed technique is verified via computer simulations performed for diverse types of target signals and body vibration.

  • The velocity and acceleration of the ground moving target can cause the target position to be displaced and defocused in the SAR image. In this paper, the displacement compensation scheme is presented to correct the displaced position and defocused moving target image in the DPCA based SAR-GMTI system. The influence of the ground moving target due to the velocity and acceleration is analyzed in range and azimuth directions, and its compensation method is presented with the simulation results. The performance of the proposed method is compared with respect to the estimated velocity and defocused quantity in both range and azimuth directions.

  • In this paper, we describe the performance degradation of satellite Wibro system and compensation method in the high-speed railroad channel environment. High-speed railroad channel environment is divided into LOS channel and tunnel. In the LOS channel, signal blocking caused by railroad power feeder structures can be a critical problem which is can be solved with antenna diversity. On the other hand, multi path interference phenomenon, representable by propagation model of Optic Fiber, occurred in the tunnel may be another obstacle. These satellite Wibro system performance degradations in railroad channel environment are addressed and adequate compensation methods are proposed and verified through computer simulation. In addition, the ICI caused by Doppler shift in OFDM system is analyzed with its compensation method.

  • In wireless communication systems, a frequency offset exist at the received signal due to the transmitter-receiver oscillator mismatch and Doppler effect in mobile environments. Those offsets rotate the received signal's phase and degrade the receiver performance. Hence, estimation and compensation of the frequency offset is crucial at the receiver. This paper proposes a new frequency offset estimation technique based on partial correlation. The proposed method requires less computational complexity than that of the conventional method. In addition, since the proposed one can estimate a wide range of frequency offset without estimation accuracy loss, the application of the method is desirable for the communication environments that have a large frequency offset. In order to verify the performance of our proposed scheme, a series of computer simulations have been carried out and compared against those of the conventional method.

  • In this paper, the image formation by the motion compensation technique for Synthetic Aperture Radar system(SAR) were realized through the computer simulation. The motion compensation technique performed image data with the range compression, the compensation procedure, the azimuth compensation and the noise elimination procedure. The range compression procedure transform the SAR raw data into the frequency domain and correlate with the range reference function and then inversely transform into the time domain. The compensation procedure contain the aircraft fluctuations compensation and the radar image degrading effect elimination procedure which was caused by image formation algorithm itself. The aircraft fluctuations compensation procedure perform the first stage which correct the phase angle and the second stage which calculate the Doppler frequency and determine the coordinate of the received signal. The radar image degrading effect elimination procedure also perform range migration compensation and the image defocussing effect compensation. The azimuth compression procedure transform the compensation data to the frequency domain and correlate with the azimuth reference function. The azimuth correlated data are inversely transformed to the time domain which is called SAR image data. When the above procedure were completed, the image data contains the received signals mixed with noise. The threshold technique was applied to elimination the noise from the mixed image data.

  • This paper addresses the vibration mode shape Measurement technique utilizing a Continuous Scanning Laser Doppler Vibrometer (CSLDV). The continuous scanning capability is added to the conventional discrete Laser Doppler Vibrometer by reflecting the laser beams on the surface of the object using two oscillating mirrors. The bow scanning resulted from the proposed scanning method is eliminated by feedback control. The velocity output signal from the CSLDV is modulated to give the spatial velocity distribution in terms of coefficients which are obtained from the Fast Fourier Transformation of the time dependent velocity signal. Using the Chebyshev series from, the analysis of the vibration mode shape techniques for straight line scanning and 2 dimensional scanning are presented and discussed.   • A Stepped Frequency Radar(SFR) is a method that realizes high resolution range estimation by increasing the frequency of transmission pulses at regular intervals to generate a wide synthetic bandwidth. However, in the case of a moving target, accurate range estimation becomes difficult due to the range-Doppler coupling. In this paper, the process of high resolution range estimation by compensation of the range-Doppler coupling with estimated velocity of the moving target using the SFR waveform with Coherent Pulse Train(CPT) is analyzed and it was verified through simulation.
