This study aims to develop a COVID-19 documentation strategy for university archives, which will act as a response system to infectious diseases. The study applied the phases of "documentation area definition and preliminary analysis" and "documentation strategy drafting" described in Heckman's documentation strategy model. In defining the documentation area and doing preliminary analysis, the author analyzed the cases of COVID-19 documentation projects at overseas university archives and conducted interviews with stakeholders. In drafting the documentation strategy, the author interviewed three archivists working in university archives. From these findings, the documentation strategy plan was developed and revised based on the feedback from archivists. The strategy plan covers the documentation purpose, subject/functional area, group, reference information, and major considerations. The findings of this study might be useful for figuring out ways to secure records related to COVID-19 or other infectious diseases in university archives.

The study reports a preliminary analysis for the No-Gun Ri massacre documentation strategy based on Hackman and Wornow-Blewett's implementation model, as an appraisal and selection method for No-Gun Ri Digital Archives. It intends to review the theoretical background for this process, inlcuding a history of the No-Gun Ri massacre and the development of documentation strategy. From the theoretical analysis, this study identified the No Gun Ri documentation strategy processes in 5 categories: "cooperative collecting", "collecting in specific areas", "identifing missing areas" and "advisory group". With these 5 categories, this study discusses the application of the Hackman and Wornow-Blewett's implementation model in the No Gun Ri case and reviews the strategy's pros and cons. As a result, firstly, we classfy focusing groups into "victims and bereaved family", "government", "civil society", "the press" and "literature and art". Secondly, we also classify documentation categories into "massacre records", "investigation activity records" and "cherish memory".

The contemporary incidents, in which hatred toward the socially disadvantaged is the cause, are constantly evoking archivists' social role and responsibility. This study notes the documentation strategy as a way to document contemporary incidents involving the socially disadvantaged as the main actors. The purpose of this study is to propose the documentation strategy for documenting contemporary incidents around the L Comics issue. As a theoretical study, it examines the concept and significance of contemporary incidents documenting and documentation strategies. Through an analysis of the issue's overview, features, key events, and focus groups, the context of the issue was identified, and relevant online records were investigated. In addition, through interviews with stakeholders and experts, opinions on the documentation strategy of the L Comics issue were collected. In conclusion, the study discusses the objectives, direction, principle, category, subject and considerations for documenting the issue, and proposes the documentation strategy for it.

This study attempted to present the direction of the documentation strategy to lay the foundation for preserving and using the modern and contemporary publishing culture in Daegu. To this end, the authors applied the phase of the "documentation area definition and preliminary analysis" suggested in Hackman's model. In the preliminary analysis phase, the authors investigated the cases of documentation on specific topics and conducted interviews with those concerned with documenting the publishing culture of Daegu. The findings of interviews were presented by the categories, such as "the value of Daegu's modern and contemporary publishing culture," "the object and method of collection," "documentation group," and "difficulties and limitations." With these findings, the authors proposed the main elements of a documentation strategy and revised it based on the feedback from two archivists. The proposed elements consist of the purpose, temporal, geographical, and morphological ranges, roles by group, reference sources, prior work, and the consideration for collection and operation. The preliminary analysis of this study will serve as a foundation for preserving and transmitting Daegu's publishing culture.

The purposes of this study are to compensate for the deficiencies of the presidential records using the documentation strategy and to establish a long-term plan for collecting presidential records that should be considered as references in country governance. For these purposes, this study examined literature reviews, foreign case studies, and the presidential records collection of the United States and Korea, and conducted in-depth interviews in relation to the presidential records collection. Semistructured questionnaires were used for in-depth interviews and 15 target organizations, such as a foundation and memorial affairs agency, central government agencies, and university-affiliated organizations, were selected. A total of 14 records collectors of 12 organizations (82%) of all 17 records collectors of 17 organizations (100%) participated in these interviews, and the interview results were analyzed according to the grounded theory of qualitative research methodology. Based on the accumulated results, this study proposes an effective model in designing collection strategy and operating and collecting presidential records through the use of documentation strategies.

This study reviewed the archival collecting methodology so that the documentation method such as collecting about missing archives in BUMA Democratic uprising is prepared for and it progressed the pre-analysis by applying to working models of 'documentation strategy' that Larry Hackman and Joan Warnow-Blewett suggested. First of all, I generally examined BUMA Democratic Uprising and narrowed the scope into MASAN Uprising in order to deduce the effective documentation method, performing the pre-analysis centering on MASAN Uprising. In succession, by analyzing the type and activity of an action group of MASAN Uprising, I organized the area of MASAN Uprising documentation. Finally, by selecting some action groups of MASAN Uprising, I investigated archives in person. Based on this, I suggested the investigation and analysis of the present-condition of missing archives, the preparation for collecting policies, active collecting, the establishment of management policy of collecting archives and the detailed management strategy about integrated management.

Documentation strategy has been experimented in various subject areas and local regions since late 1980's when it was proposed as archival appraisal and selection methods by archival communities in the United States. Though it was criticized to be too ideal, it needs to shed new light on the potentialities of the strategy for documenting local regions in digital environment. The purpose of this study is to analyse the implementation issues of documentation strategy and to suggest the directions for documenting local regions of Korea through the application of the strategy. The documentation strategy which was developed more than twenty years ago in mostly western countries gives us some implications for documenting local regions even in current digital environments. They are as follows; Firstly, documentation strategy can enhance the value of archivists as well as archives in local regions because archivist should be active shaper of history rather than passive receiver of archives according to the strategy. It can also be a solution for overcoming poor conditions of local archives management in Korea. Secondly, the strategy can encourage cooperation between collecting institutions including museums, libraries, archives, cultural centers, history institutions, etc. in each local region. In the networked environment the cooperation can be achieved more effectively than in traditional environment where the heavy workload of cooperative institutions is needed. Thirdly, the strategy can facilitate solidarity of various groups in local region. According to the analysis of the strategy projects, it is essential to collect their knowledge, passion, and enthusiasm of related groups to effectively implement the strategy. It can also provide a methodology for minor groups of society to document their memories. This study suggests the directions of documenting local regions in consideration of current archival infrastructure of Korean as follows; Firstly, very selective and intensive documentation should be pursued rather than comprehensive one for documenting local regions. Though it is a very political problem to decide what subject has priority for documentation, interests of local community members as well as professional groups should be considered in the decision-making process seriously. Secondly, it is effective to plan integrated representation of local history in the distributed custody of local archives. It would be desirable to implement archival gateway for integrated search and representation of local archives regardless of the location of archives. Thirdly, it is necessary to try digital documentation using Web 2.0 technologies. Documentation strategy as the methodology of selecting and acquiring archives can not avoid subjectivity and prejudices of appraiser completely. To mitigate the problems, open documentation system should be prepared for reflecting different interests of different groups. Fourth, it is desirable to apply a conspectus model used in cooperative collection management of libraries to document local regions digitally. Conspectus can show existing documentation strength and future documentation intensity for each participating institution. Using this, documentation level of each subject area can be set up cooperatively and effectively in the local regions.

As a result, korean game archiving lacks consistency and validity due to the absense of methodology. Therefore this study conducts a preliminary study of building a game archiving methodology. First, this study analyzed the discourse of archiving science, including Documentation strategy, and the study of cultural content archiving in other fields. Then by applying it to korean game archiving, this study embodies game archiving methodology.

한국의 근현대 천문학은 조선시대 관상감의 명맥을 잇고 천문학의 현대화를 이루는 과정에서 역사적이고 문화적인 자료를 남겼다. 그 중 국립천문대를 거쳐 한국천문연구원에 이르기까지 주요 연구 결과물은 국가적 차원에서 보존해야 할 가치 있는 기록물들이다. 이들은 연구 환경변화의 주요 인물과 스토리까지 포괄하고 있으므로 그 과정에서 파생된 소산물도 체계적으로 조직화하여 대중에게 서비스할 필요가 있다. 이 기획 연구는 도큐멘테이션 전략과 사료 콘텐츠 세트 개발 방법론을 활용하여 한국 근현대 천문학 기록물을 수집하고 주제별로 재가공하는 절차를 제시한다. 도큐멘테이션 전략은 국내외에 산발적으로 분산된 한국 근현대 천문 사료의 유형과 지역 등 편중성을 가려내어 중복된 기록물은 걸러내고 희소성 높은 기록물을 선별하여 수집하는 방법론이다. 천문 사료 콘텐츠 세트는 한국천문학사의 주요 인물과 천문대 등 학술적, 문화적으로 가치 있는 주제를 중심으로 본(本) 기록물과 연관 기록물을 맥락적으로 관리 서비스할 수 있는 방법론이다. 이 연구를 통하여 초중등 교과 과정이나 유관 기관과 서비스를 연동하여 한국천문지식정보의 범용화와 천문 아카이브에 대한 대중의 접근 편의를 도모할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
